Joel Caws Drops Final Track Of New Worship EP

Joel Caws, a worship leader and singer/songwriter from the UK has just released his first ever EP, including two previously released tracks and a brand new song titled ‘I Will Rest’.

Joel has been releasing music for over 3 years and this latest worship song continues the theme of drawing near to God.

Of the new EP release, Joel comments “I’m so excited to finally get this 3 song EP out there. I titled the EP ‘Draw Near’ as it reflects a period late last year where God was speaking to me through James 4:8, and challenged me to be more intentional in devoting more time to draw nearer to Him.

The 3 songs that make up the EP were all written through that time and came out of that desire to draw closer to Him.”

Joel shares the challenges behind the release of the EP: “The final song for the EP was been such a journey for me personally as a period of poor health over the past 3 or 4 months meant finishing the recording was really hard and I went through times of feeling pretty frustrated. The final track, titled ‘I Will Rest’, massively challenged me over these recent months to lay down my frustration daily, put my trust in God’s promises for my life and learn to simply rest in Him.”

Of his wish for others to engage with the EP release, Joel responds “I pray that others will relate to these songs deeply; especially those who, maybe like myself, have been facing challenges lately. These songs evoke and inspire faith to stand on God’s promises and to draw nearer to Him whatever situation you are going through and, ultimately, to draw you to the feet of Jesus.”

Caleb Stanton Releases ‘The Good Life

Independent singer and songwriter Caleb Stanton releases The Good Life in full today (Sept 29).

“After eight singles, the album is finally here. Over the last few years, I have been working on crafting a narrative that is intended to give the believer hope. Life can look hopeless if we live our lives as if the here and now is all that is. As Christians, we are living the good life. And not because it’s easy.

Because if I’m honest, life isn’t easy most of the time. It’s a good life because we have an eternal hope. Not only have we been saved from death, but we have also been saved to eternal life with Christ. Welcome to the good life.” -Stanton

Mark Roberts Takes Leap Of Faith With ‘Come Alive’

Veteran singer-songwriter and band leader Mark Roberts has announced the release of his new album, “Come Alive”. Available today wherever music is sold. Produced by GRAMMY and Dove Award winner Tom Hemby, the album is Roberts’ first foray into Contemporary Christian Music.

Long before he started making music, Roberts had to overcome a string of childhood setbacks. A bone disorder in his right leg caused him to wear a brace, alongside a built-up shoe on the left for three painful years, each accompanied by a laundry list of activities the doctor said he would never complete. It was understandably hard to fit in and bullying became a regular occurrence, so music became a companion and comfort, especially classic Christian artists such as The Imperials during the Russ Taff era, Amy Grant and Andraé Crouch.

As he grew up, he also thankfully grew out of those ailments, being able to run, jump, climb and ride the bike he was told he never would, while praying he could one day reach the world through music, just as those iconic influences have done for decades.

“After many attempts and falls, I went astray, impatient, and started singing for me,” Roberts recalls. “Miles and miles, room after room, stage after stage, tears and years, and doing what everyone wanted me to do. I enjoyed awards and applause, but was cold and alone. Empty. It was all a blur. I was still doing what everyone told me I could not do, but there was still something missing.”

In spite of it all, the pieces finally fell into place in a manner so beyond his wildest dreams, only God could have orchestrated such a master plan. “I was recording in yet another attempt to make something happen when I met a guy who was tracking with us that day. He asked me if I had any other recordings with me that I had done and I had a Christmas/Thanksgiving song. Upon listening to it, he said to me, ‘that’s it! That’s what you’re supposed to be doing.’ He added that if I ever decided to go in that direction, he would help me all he could and produce me.”

Unbeknownst to Roberts, the offer came from none other than GRAMMY and Dove Award-winner Tom Hemby, who just so happened to be not only be the guitar player for The Imperials during the Russ Taff era, but married to Deanna Hemby, Amy Grant’s assistant.

“It would be years before I found that out,” he explains. “I would have to give up on me and give in to God before He would give me the answer to my prayer. Tom is my producer and my photo shoot was done at Amy Grant’s farm, which is my miracle circle. Only God could do that, so now I will do what God tells me I can do through Him.”

And that’s exactly what Roberts did throughout his new album “Come Alive,” featuring ten inspirational tracks which all evoke the classic days of CCM, yet are firmly planted in radio-ready sounds of today.

The uplifting title track is just one of the faith-fueling anthems that point to the increased authenticity of this already seasoned artist, who will be the first to admit feeling like he was swimming against the current pursuing such a drastic lane change later in life, but was nonetheless reminded God’s timing was truly perfect upon receiving a demo to “It’s Not Too Late (To Start Over Again).” There’s also “Teach Me,” which could also be considered Roberts’ precise prayer for restoration that he continues to play during daily devotionals, plus uplifting covers of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and Bread’s “Everything I Own.” Yet it’s the opening cut, “Running Home,” that could very well be the defining soundtrack to his lifelong testimony, in addition to being a personal favorite.

“I spent my life running after the wind on the road, trying to find my door and an opening somewhere that all makes sense,” he recalls. “I guess every musician can say that. ‘Where do I get in? Where do I make a mark?’ But at the time, I was aimless. I just wanted to be a part of music, and now I have a true, specific reason to be there, and that’s to shine a light…All of these songs are gifts that describe my path, not just mine, but the process of a Christian life and a relationship with Jesus.”

Adds Roberts, “My hope is that the listeners will receive what I prayed for long ago, that I could share music that would heal people, help people and let them know they are not alone.”

Nathan Sheridan Drops “Do You Know (Album Version)”

Today (Sept 22), singer/songwriter and Amplo recording artist Nathan Sheridan drops Do You Know (Album Version).”

Originally released to Christian radio and streaming platforms earlier this year, the single puts Sheridan’s emotive vocal front and center as the opening verse swells into a soaring, celebratory chorus backed by a Gospel choir.

Penned by Luke Nielsen, Jay Speight and Phoebe Scott, the Speight-produced track welcomes the prodigal home, offering a timely reminder of God’s deep love for His children: “Do you know He dances at the sound of your name?/Do you know He longs to bless you over and over again?/He is for you beginning to end/If you’ve ever wondered if it’s really true/He loves you.”“In my own life, I’ve had times of feeling distant from God, so I hope listeners can draw parallels from this song to their own stories,” Sheridan says. “God knows you; He is there in the midst of any circumstance; and He smiles at the sound of your name simply because you are His.”

“I truly believe God is going to move through this song,” Sheridan adds. “It’s different from anything I’ve recorded before. When I heard it for the first time in the studio, I felt the anointing of its message and I hope others will too.”

Constanza Herrero Releases New Album ‘Mourning Into Dancing’.

On Friday, September 15, 2023, the world will welcome the much-anticipated album Between Mourning & Dancing by Chilean and Australian singer-songwriter Constanza Herrero.

Since the release of her award-winning self-titled EP in 2017, Constanza has been writing and performing amidst the challenging seasons life inevitably brings. Is it her experiences of seeking equilibrium between life’s highest highs and lowest lows that have provided the deepest inspiration for this new project, which has already found a warm reception on many digital platforms.

“This is an album about lasting joy,” Constanza says. “It is about learning to trust God amidst heartache, fear, and grief. I came to realize that though there is a time to mourn and there is a time to dance, you can learn to be in both places at once—actively pursuing hope despite sorrow, tethered by supernatural peace and joy amidst chaos. These songs were written in just such a place. This is a soundtrack for all who are currently holding on to hope in the face of many life’s sorrows this side of heaven.”

Constanza Herrero brings a fresh sound to the indie Christian scene. Her eclectic sound demonstrates influences from each of the various cultures she’s been exposed to while living in four different continents throughout her life. Most important for Constanza, though, is the content of her lyrics. She seeks to address themes that are often lacking in Christian music.

“I feel the need to write and release music that speaks to what is going on in the life of a believer today, to play a little part in bringing to light these invisible battles and create an opportunity to share our weaknesses with one another. At the same time, I want to encourage others by pointing to the hope of Christ that allows us to suffer in a way that is observably different than the rest of the world.”

Between Mourning and Dancing beautifully provides a soundtrack for the spiritual life, but also an invitation to those who do not share her faith, to experience this same hope. Out Friday, September 15, 2023.
