Acclaimed Christian Hip Hop icon Lecrae features the one and only John Legend in the single Drown – His third off anticipated album RESTORATION.
I’m excited for you to hear ‘Drown’ with my brother, John Legend. We labored on this one. Even after the initial session we jumped on FaceTime to tweak it. The man is as equally talented as he is humble. His gift and passion bleed thru this song.
—Lecrae
The 9th Album Restoration is slated for official release on friday Aug 21st
Lecrae is also releasing a documentary also called Restoration and his second book, I Am Restored: How I Lost My Religion, But Found My Faith, a follow-up to his New York Times best-seller, Unashamed.

“Deep End” is a lamentable track of Lecrae’s pain over George Floyd’s death.
The vulnerable track talks about his struggle with his faith and being a black man in America. The chorus samples John Summit’s May 2020 track, “Deep End,” which lyrics are slightly altered Sleepy Hallow & Fousheé’s April 2020 track, “Deep End Freestyle.”
Following the YK Osiris-assisted “Set Me Free,” this track is the second single off of Lecrae’s 2020 long-awaited album Restoration.
On June 3, 2020, Lecrae released a snippet of a track on his Instagram and Twitter.
[Intro]Right now (Right now, right now, right now, right now, right now, right now)
[Chorus: John Summit]I’ve been tryin’ not to go off the deep end Give me a reason I’ve been tryin’ not to—
[Verse 1: Lecrae]Uh, stay on point, I’ve been tryna save my voice But y’all gave me no choice The world gone mad, can’t ignore this noise Look at these people found dead in the streets I got some partners that hate the police Me, I’m just tryna hold onto my peace ‘Cause I’m liable to lose it and go get the piece (Yah) I need a reason, I need a season Pleaded with Jesus, all of this grievin’ They be like, “F you and what you believe in” I do not trip, I keep it G What in the H you sayin’ to I? [Pre-Chorus: Lecrae]Uh, yeah, I’ve been doin’ better than I was before I walk with a limp ’cause I’ve been wrestlin’ with the Holy Ghost (Ghost) Deep end of this pit, but still somehow I keep on floating on Thought I lost my grip, but God reminded me He’s holding on
[Chorus: John Summit]I’ve been tryin’ not to go off the deep end Give me a reason I’ve been tryin’ not to go off the deep end Give me a reason I’ve been tryin’ not to—

[Pre-Chorus: Lecrae]Uh, yeah, I’ve been doin’ better than I was before (Woo) I walk with a limp ’cause I’ve been wrestlin’ with the Holy Ghost (Ghost) Deep end of this pit, but still somehow I keep on floating on Thought I lost my grip, but God reminded me He’s holding on

Earning an accolade in the most prestigious night of music GRAMMY AWARDS is no doubt a pipe dream many music enthusiasts would literally give anything to have Nonetheless, chart topping albums Look Up Child and Hiding Place by Lauren Daigle and Tori Kelly respectively garnered 2 awesome accolades each.

Guess it will be implausible to say we didn’t see that coming, You can’t get those stats and not expect the spotlight at the Grammies.
On the other hand Tori Kelly, who earned two accolades for her very first Gospel Album Hiding Place was not really much of a shock given her musical ingenuity and intriguing collaborations with quite a number of gospel music front which includes the King of Gospel Music Kirk Franklin, aced CHH rapper Lecrae, Grammy Nominated artist Jonathan McRaynolds and others.

RCA Inspiration’s artiste and record smashing Diva Koryn Hawthorne paired up with CHH Frontliner Lecrae to give an enthralling performance at the Super Bowl Celebration all thanks to BET.
Guess its not far fetching to say ever since Koryn gained stardom at the The Voice, singing contest. Indeed, as only 21years of age, Unstoppable is the word that comes to mind at the mention of the name Koryn Hawthorne. Who would have thought Hawthorne was going to be the first woman to top four gospel charts simultaneously in five years as well as the longest number 1 female artist holder on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs Chart yet she did anyways.
Gospel music lovers could not help but savor her sublime collab with aced rapper Lecrae at the Super Bowl Gospel’19. They had an epic connection and obviously could not have gotten any better than this.
Unstoppable is basically a song of encouragement and hope to that Guy / Lady that is having it rough, remembering that our hope and our gaze should be on the lord because he never fails.
Irrefutably one of the elements of Christmas, the epic feeling derived from the numerous carols and symphonies all in herald of little baby Jesus.
Once again we at Coghive have taken it upon ourselves to release a playlist containing various songs from high profiled latest Christmasalbums and singles from intriguing artists which include For King and Country, 116, The Walls Group, Ccioma, Tasha Cobbs, Hillsong and others to keep you in tune with the rhythm of the season.
We wish you a merry Christmas and a blessed new year in advance.
