With over 55M streams to date, Cade Thompson’s music has resonated with fans across the globe, and this long-awaited sophomore project shares the heart behind his ministry. He describes his motivation for Empty Room by explaining, “The album is really birthed out of the story of how my career started and how it has evolved. I started writing songs in my bedroom in middle school, and those were the moments that shaped my heartbeat of who I am today. Empty Room expresses the power of spending time regularly with God in solitude, and in my case, in my own empty room. I can’t wait for people all across the world to hear this very special project.”

[Music] Tears – Cade Thompson

Today, Red Street Records recording artist Cade Thompson releases the final lead-up track to his sophomore album, Empty Roomtitled “Tears”  alongside a music video.

Sharing the inspiration behind “Tears,” Thompson explains, “Most of my songs start with stories from my life or the people I meet. This song was no different, except that it took on a deeper meaning when I shared it with my mom. She said, ‘Cade I’m not sure if you know this but this song is a big part of my testimony.

When I was a single mom and having a hard day parenting, tears were rolling down my face, and the leader of my bible study could see I was struggling. She prayed for me, and my heart shifted when she said, Dear Lord, do not let her tears be wasted. I realized then that God does not waste anyone’s tears.’ It was almost as if at that moment I knew I had written this song to share a part of my mom’s story.”

Written by Thompson along with Carter Frodge, Tony Wood, and AJ Pruis, the song delivers listeners a comforting message of hope amidst pain as it sings, “Let this be your comfort / Let this be your hope / He’s got plans to use the hurt / In ways that you don’t know.

Red Street Records Chief Operating Officer, Kelly Rich, shares, “Cade is such a gifted songwriter, and this song is such a powerful ode to his heart and the purpose behind his music. We couldn’t be more excited for listeners to hear ‘Tears’ and gear up for the remaining tracks of Cade’s new album.”

As a young rising artist, Cade Thompson has been able to share his music, including two top 25 Christian radio singles and today’s “Tears,” with fans around the country as an opening act for the GRAMMY-winning Christian rock band Newsboys. Thompson can be seen throughout the summer at additional tour dates and major music festivals.

Red Street Records’ artist Cade Thompson releases the official music video for his latest single “Lost Without You.” Thompson co-wrote “Lost Without You” with Jess Cates, Matt Armstrong, and Micah Kuiper, who also produced the song.

“This is a very personal song,” Thompson shares. “I was raised in the church, though I quickly found out that the struggles of growing up are universal. Through touring with music, I was given the opportunities to speak into my peers’ lives at a young age, giving me a window into such a variety of struggles, not the mention my own! As I get older, I reflect often on how lost I would be without Jesus’ kindness, goodness, and provision over the years.”

[EP] Cade Thompson Christmas

Joplin native Contemporary Christian artist Cade Thompson is spreading Christmas cheer this holiday season with a three-song Christmas bundle EP that releases across all digital platforms starting today, October 22.

Cade Thompson Christmas is a  three song holiday project that features two classic remakes “Go Tell It On The Mountain” and “Angels We Have Heard on High” along with one original written by Thompson along with Micah Kuiper and Matt Armstrong,  titled “ I Can’t Wait for Christmas.”

“My Christmas EP brings me so much joy as I have been able to put my personality into each single,” shares Thompson. “There has been so much life and excitement surrounding this project, from the moment we began. The arrangements for these songs bring a fun, fresh and new spin, but keep the traditional heartbeats of two well known Christmas songs. My new original Christmas song was written straight from my own Christmas memories, which we can all relate too. I know these songs will hit the audience differently in a familiar season.  I can’t wait for you to hear them.”

Earlier this week, the breakout artist set out on the Step Into the Light Tour with the Grammy Award-winning band Newsboys, female powerhouse vocalist Mandisa and Irish American band We Are Messengers. Thompson will be performing his radio hits like “Every Step of the Way” and other fan favorites from his debut full length album, Bigger Story, that was released in September. For a full list of tour dates, please visit www.cadethompsonmusic.com.

When speaking about the tour, Thompson says, “I was raised on Christian music,  so being able to go on tour with the Newsboys, Mandisa, and We are Messengers causes me to reflect on what an honor it is to be sharing the stage with these icons. I know that I will never forget these moments that I have yet to experience on this tour,  both on stage and behind the scenes. With the tour kicking off soon, the days have been busy getting merch ready and thinking of everything through the fan’s perspective. My favorite part of live performance is being able to encourage the audience through music and the message of the Gospel…and of course hearing so many stories from fans on how music is impacting their lives.”

My hope for this album is that it inspires each listener to truly walk in a relationship with Jesus and join the story.”
