I CHOOSE YOU – Kierra Sheard off Keirra Sheard’s self-titled musical work of art KIERRA (Karew Entertainment / RCA Inspiration) – An amazing album making some record breaking milestones like benching Kanye West’s JESUS IS KING album on the Billboard Chart.
The album includes 15-tracks with sounds ranging from Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Gospel, and features some live recorded songs which Kierra performed before a sold out crowd in her hometown of Detroit, MI. Demonstrating her lyricism, Kierra either wrote or co-wrote all of the tracks on the album including the beautiful ballad “Grateful,” the authentic and raw “Human,” and “Better.” Assisted by a dynamic team, KIERRA features production from her frequent collaborators, Harmony “H-Money” Samuels and her brother J. Drew Sheard, as well as songwriters Mia Fieldes, Varren Wade, Edgar “JV” Etienne, Justin Brooks and rising Chicago artist Sir the Baptist. In addition to Missy Elliott and Tasha Cobbs Leonard, the album features vocals from other star Gospel Artists Todd Dulaney, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Le’Andria Johnson and Kierra’s nephew Jacob Sheard.
The new music video for “There Was Jesus” from GRAMMY Award-winning artists Zach Williams and Dolly Parton makes the headlines.
Last November, Williams and Parton’s breathtaking duet was broadcast live with the audience as they sang “There Was Jesus” at the 53rd Annual CMA Awards. Since their amazing success, the song has gained incredible traction, and has become a Williams’ most successful song to date, along with the title track of his 2019 album, Rescue Story.
“When I first heard ‘There Was Jesus,’ it was one of the best songs I’d ever heard,” Parton shares about being featured on the song. She continues, “I loved Zach’s voice, and at that time I wanted to do something more uplifting. I felt like it was a Godsend, so I thought yes, this is my record and I’m going to sing with him on it! I’m really proud of how it turned out. I think people are going to get a blessing out of it. I know I have.”
With respect to the experience of Williams working with Dolly Parton, from recording the album to performing it live at the CMA Awards to finally shooting the music video, he says, “Dolly has been a champion since day one of this album. I never imagined this would happen in a million years, and the whole experience of working with her has always been an blessing and a pleasure”.

Jesus will You meet me here Let Your peace wash over me I need You now more than ever Teach my soul to sing
My God is still in control And still He reigns on His throne Though mountains may tremble and sea billows roll I’ll sing it is well with my soul My God is still in control
You have not left me alone Though the world has let me down All of my sorrow and pain I will trade it for a crown
Thank You for staying with me When the night was closing in Whatever my lot, you are still God I will sing again

Open every door Let earth and heaven roar Fling wide you heavenly gates Here let Your Kingdom reign Behold the glory King Honor His majesty Fling wide you heavenly gates Throw high your praise and come awake
There is no language That could ever form words around Your grace No amount of pages Could describe what You’ve done inside this place There is no religion That could box You in, that could keep You in No limit to Your greatness Now we can’t help but sing

You see what’s hidden under the surface You see the beauty under the tarnish
You will find in fire what You call gold You will find in fire what You can mold
Find me here in Your presence I’m not leaving the same Let Your refining fire Purify me again Let the weight of Your glory Bring me back to my knees O God come with revival You can start it in me
You have purpose, You see the outcome You have intention, You’re bringing freedom
