Pentatonix just released their new album Holidays Around the World on Friday (October 28)!

The Grammy award-winning A Cappella group – Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola and Matt Sallee – collaborated with quite a few artists from around the world for their sixth holiday album.

Featured on the album are Lea Salonga, Meghan Trainor, The King Singers, Hiba Tawaji, La Santa Cecilia, Lang Lang, Grace Lokwa, Shreya Ghoshal, and HIKAKIN & SEIKIN.

“The holidays have taken on a new meaning for all of us over the past couple of years. We cherish this time of year more than ever,” Scott shared in a statement. “However, we wanted to spread this message as far as possible. That’s why we decided to bridge the gap between cultures and genres in a way we never have before. Now, we can’t wait to see all of you on the road.”

As previously announced, Pentatonix will be hitting the road in November and December on their Pentatonix: A Christmas Spectacular Tour. Check out the tour dates below!

It was also just announced that October 28th has been declared “Pentatonix Day” in Los Angeles!

The city recognized the group’s contributions to the city over the last decade, with the resolution reading, “the Los Angeles City Council hereby declares October 28, 2022 as ‘Pentatonix Day’ in Los Angeles to acknowledge global impact of Pentatonix and to extend best wishes to this five-member group.”

PTX will be honored in Los Angeles once again in 2023 when they receive their very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!

Earlier this year, Kirstin gave birth to her first child. Scott also debuted his first solo single, which he wrote about his fiancé.

Acclaimed singer/songwriter and best-selling author Ellie Holcomb releases her new Christmas EP, Sing: Christmas Songs, Today November 1st to accompany her latest children’s book, Sounding Joy, which was released earlier this month. Limo’s Afrobeat Remix became an instant viral hit across all short-form social media platforms with over 110,000 Instagram Reels, and thousands of videos created daily on TikTok reaching over 80,000 on the platform. After releasing NINE new singles in 2022 from their upcoming album — officially titled “Cosmic Innuendo, Vol. 1: Dark Side of the Ocean” — which includes the radio hits “Bottom of the Barrel” and “What’s Kraken?”, Rusty Shipp have finally released the long-anticipated, full-length concept album to the public on digital streaming and retail platforms.

The album stands as an artistic landmark for the band, being their first full-length concept album to be included in a larger, successive story arc, titled “Cosmic Innuendo.” Aside from occasional nods to the famous Pink Floyd album, the album conceptually emphasizes the balance between dark and light, descent and ascent, men and angels. The first half of the album (21 ½ minutes) called “DESCENT” follows the descent of a drowned sailor sinking past undiscovered creatures and mysteries to the bottom of the ocean where his soul is intercepted by a group of sea angels and taken to their underwater kingdom. The second half of the album (21 ½ minutes) is called “ASCENT” and explores this angelic kingdom, ruled by “Poseidon” the Ocean’s King Archangel. After debating the danger involved, the angels decide to ascend and see why men’s souls are sinking so often from the ocean’s surface, feeling a duty to help these men in the world above the waves, which the angels ironically call “Heaven.”

Following this theme of balance, the songs create a diverse tapestry of eclectic genres (grunge, surf, punk, ska, reggae, metal, acoustic, etc) and innovative artistry, while each song also stands on its own as single-worthy with catchy riffs and melodic hooks that give each a pop commerciality. Beneath the surface of the artistic imagery of sea angels, the philosophical messages in each song reflect the angst and conflict that can clearly be traced back to the climate of 2020, in which the lyrics were written. Yet while confronting the issues of 2020 that tore the world apart, the songs carefully shift the perspective of the listener to the things that will bring us all together again, the real hope that is available to every soul on the planet

In time for Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 – October 15), this studio recording of her hit EP Live from the Quarry showcased elevated sound and vocals from the chart-topping Latin-American recording artist. MŌRIAH self-produced each studio rendition under her independent creative services company, Sanctuary Studios. Her focus with this release was to show singers and songwriters how to see their “indie artist” season as an opportunity to incubate the skills of engineering, distributing, and marketing their own music.

The American Idol alum, who is co-host and producer of K-LOVE/AccessMore’s Hit Podcast BECOMING:us shares, “For many years, I was looking for permission to express the sounds I was hearing in my head. It wasn’t until I decided to produce by myself that I was able to uncover my own healing.”

MŌRIAH describes the production process this way: “Maybe you’ve heard these lyrics before. But not like this.
