TyBrasel Shining Final Cover

Raised on the outskirts of Memphis, Brasel struggled with criminal behavior before rediscovering God and renewing his purpose as a faith-driven hip-hop star. Since then, he’s used music as a means of encouraging others to move past their own obstacles. Produced by Dirty Rice, Joseph Prielozny, and JuiceBangers, TRANSCENDENT will mark his fourth release for Curb Records’ hip-hop imprint, IVAV, joining an acclaimed catalog that also includes 2020’s The Divine Storm and 2018’s Destined For Greatness.

“TRANSCENDENT is about rising above all types of emotions and challenges that can lead you down a dangerous path,” Brasel says of the upcoming record, which also includes collabs with The WRLDFMS Tony Williams, Aaron Cole, Foggieraw, Jay-Way, and Parris Chariz. “Those challenges can be anything from ego to depression to pride to fear. We can tap into our divine resources to overcome those obstacles, and that story is reflective of my own life — my personal story of transcending.”

[Music Video] Never Too Far – Blanca Ft. Ty Brasel

Award-winning Curb | Word Entertainment artist Blanca shares the official music video for “Never Too Far” featuring Ty Brasel. The powerhouse vocalist explores the dichotomy of her emotions and insecurities on “Never Too Far.” Featuring her label-mate, Ty Brasel, the upbeat pop track acknowledges that despite our mistakes, we’re never out of reach of a God who consistently pursues us. Coming face to face with her brokenness in light of God’s grace, the singer finds comfort in a Love that stays on the song, which she co-wrote with Anton Göransson, Isabella Sjöstrand and Brasel.

The seamless collaboration with the hip-hop titan isn’t the only artist feature locked in for The Heartbreak And The Healing. Blanca duets with GRAMMY Award winner Dante Bowe on her current Top 10 and climbing single, “The Healing,” and enlists acclaimed Gospel artist Jekalyn Carr for shimmering, groove-laden selection “New Day.”

Blanca’s third studio project, The Heartbreak And The Healing, offers two sides of the same story — the hurt and the redemption. Written in the wake of a painful divorce, the songstress vulnerably cracks her heart wide open on the new 14-track collection that beautifully showcases the merger of her unstoppable voice and her transparent lyricism. A diverse fusion of pop, Latin, hip-hop and Gospel, the full-length effort follows Blanca on a journey of self-discovery as she rises from the ashes stronger and more empowered than ever before. The fresh set features chart-topping hit “Even At My Worst” and “The Healing (feat. Dante Bowe),” which the pair performed at the 2022 K-LOVE Fan Awards, where Blanca was nominated for Female Artist of the Year.

[Music Video] God Is The Best – Ty Brasel Feat. 1K Phew

The summer is looking bright for IVAV recording artist Ty Brasel, who will release his new album, TRANSCENDENT, during the months ahead. The GMA Dove Award nominee keeps his eyes glued to the sky with TRANSCENDENT’s first single – hitting digital platforms today, “GOD IS THE BEST” offers a three-minute blast of street-smart spirituality, delivered by an artist who proudly combines hip-hop momentum with pop melody.

1K Phew makes an appearance, too, with both rappers glorifying their maker over buzzing keyboards, trap beats, upright piano, and thumping bass. Listen to the track HERE.

“It’s a mixture of two worlds: these energetic, powerful verses that really move, and a heartfelt section with piano and singing,” Brasel says of the new song.

Equally powerful is the track’s music video, also out today. The clip was filmed in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, with the San Juan National Forest serving as a picturesque backdrop. Featuring snowmobiles, wintry weather, and stunning landscapes, the video crackles with the electric energy shared by Brasel and his duet partner, fellow artist 1K Phew. Check out the video HERE.

FINALCOVER GITB TyBrasel

“He just perfectly fit into the track,” says Brasel of 1K Phew, who previously teamed up with the GRAMMY®-winning Lecrae for 2021’s collaborative mixtape No Church In A While. “Some guests get on a song and do their own thing and run it off the tracks a little. But 1K Phew brought his unique style while staying true to what was being created. He made it greater.”

Like the rest of TRANSCENDENT, “GOD IS THE BEST” was produced by Dirty Rice, Joseph Prielozny, and Juice Bangers. Those three producers also helped create Destiny, Vol. 1, Brasel’s 13-song mixtape from November 2021. Working once again with the same team, Brasel found an opportunity to “take everything up a notch, sonically,” while adding new depth and dimension to his lyrical focus on faith, self-improvement, and resilience.

“I’m always finding new ways to innovate and talk about my story in a new way, but my central message is consistent,” he says. “I want to remind people that better days are always ahead, and it’s OK to not be OK, because God sees that and he cares. That’s why God is the best.”

Ty Brasel Set To Release The Music Video For Single “4 The Stars”

“Memphissippi,” based IVAV (a hip-hop division of Curb Records) Rapper Ty Brasel recently released his mixtape Destiny: Vol. 1 at the end of 2021. Produced by Dirty Rice, Joseph Prielozny, and Juice Bangers, Destiny: Vol. 1 also features cameos from a long list of hip-hop collaborators, including Jay-Way, J. Monty, Plan G, 1k Phew, Jenna Wright, and Parris Chariz. The success of Destiny: Vol 1 resulted in Ty being featured in Wonderland MagazineCelebMixEssentially Pop, PopWrappedYahoo Style and more! The breakout single “On Me” featuring Jenna Wright is currently climbing TheHotChart.com at #7. The release of Destiny: Vol. 1 follows Ty’s 2020’s The Divine Storm and 2018’s Destined For Greatness albums which resulted in more than 53 Million+ streams off the back of hit single “Praying Hands,” “Night Dreaming,” and “Highlight.” The release of Destiny: Vol. 1 was a culmination of years of hard work for Ty as he channeled his years of struggling and perseverance to create a mixtape that motivates others to push through the dark times in life.

When asked about the message he wants fans to take away from not only Destiny: Vol. 1Ty said, “Doubt, trauma, and fear can threaten to get in the way of people accomplishing their goals, sometimes, they can hinder you from even trying. I’m trying to show people, using my own life and my own music as an example, that you can always keep going.” No better is this message of perseverance heard than on Ty’s single  “4 The Stars” featuring J. Monty, which he describes as, “one of those motivational anthems with hard hitting drums and a catchy chorus. It speaks on the complexities of battling grief & fear while still pursuing your dreams and the plans of the Divine.”

Ty Brasel was born in Memphis, TN, where he grew up at the intersection of East Memphis & Olive Branch, MS. This area, referred to by locals as “Memphissippi,” is where Ty first recognized his passion for music. His style was first showcased on 2017’s “Young T,” 2018’s “Destined For Greatness,” and 2020’s “The Divine Storm” draws inspiration from the southern style of rap he was raised with, as well as influences like Kendrick Lamar, Curren$y, and Post Malone. As a teenager Ty chose a path that led him down a road of substance abuse and crime. After an encounter with God following his senior year of high school, Ty decided to change his ways and began a new spiritual journey. He enrolled into college at Ole Miss and started a hip-hop group with a friend. However, once in college some of those same demons began to present them self again, and Ty was arrested four times during his freshman year. At this point Ty had a choice to make in his life and chose to drop out of school during his third semester to focus his energy on music. With no money and no real plan Ty went home and used his struggles as motivation when creating his music. Ty’s songs are often aimed at people in the down cycles of life, and in his lyrics, the theme of overcoming life struggles and personal demons is ever present. The notion that while there may be storms within, peace and hope are attainable. No better is this hope for a brighter future heard than on Ty’s 2021 mixtape Destiny: Vol. 1 where Ty reflects upon his life to this point. Stay tuned to Ty’s socials below on updates on the release of the music video for “4 The Stars” as well as future releases from Ty Brasel.

[Album] Destiny: Vol. 1 – Ty Brasel

IVAV’s Ty Brasel knows a thing about destiny. Raised on the outskirts of Memphis, he struggled with criminal behavior before rediscovering God and renewing his purpose. Now a faith-driven hip-hop star, he reflects upon his life story — and encourages others to move past their own obstacles — with his newest mixtape, Destiny: Vol. 1. Listen HERE.

Released today by IVAV (a hip-hop division of Curb Records), Destiny: Vol. 1 is full of rapid-fire rhymes, melodic hooks, hard-hitting beats, and celestial keyboards. The result is a genre-crossing hip-hop record for doubters and believers alike, delivered by an artist who has proudly traded the darkness of his past for the bright promise of a better future. Produced by Dirty Rice, Joseph Prielozny, and JuiceBangers, Destiny: Vol. 1 also features cameos from a long list of hip-hop collaborators, including Jay-Way, J. Monty, Plan G, 1k Phew, Jenna Wright, and Parris Chariz.

Destiny: Vol. 1 arrives on the heels of 2020’s The Divine Storm and 2018’s Destined For Greatness, two solo albums whose hip-hop highlights — including viral hits like “Praying Hands,” “Night Dreaming,” and “Highlight” — helped Brasel earn more than 52 million streams worldwide. He builds upon that success with Destiny: Vol. 1, mixing his longtime fondness for southern rap and contemporary pop with atmospheric interludes, autobiographical lyrics, and the otherworldly uplift of gospel music. Brasel has always created his own sound, but he’s never sounded so driven — so destined, even — as he does here.

“Doubt, trauma, and fear can threaten to get in the way of people accomplishing their goals,” says Brasel, who raps about his past struggles to help inspire others to seek salvation. “Sometimes, they can hinder you from even trying. I’m trying to show people, using my own life and my own music as an example, that you can always keep going.”

Destiny: Vol. 1, Brasel’s mixtape release for IVAV, is available HERE now.
