REVERE Announces New Album With Easter Single

As a collective of passionate worshippers from around the world, REVERE prolifically writes and releases songs that bring us back to contemplating the holiness of God. ‘Risen Savior (Sing My Soul)’ announces a new album to come, introducing it with a new song that carries an uncompromising heart for reverent worship.

risensavior

The phrase “familiarity breeds contempt’” dates back to the 5th Century writings of St Augustine, yet this truth still haunts us today.  ‘Risen Savior’ features a powerful personal admonition to “sing my soul, sing out and bless the Lord” in the face of what could become mundane.

Risen Savior (Sing My Soul) – REVERE
The new single invites us to trade numbness for life to the fullest, just as the Christian faith is a one of deaths and resurrections, of endings and new beginnings, of transitions from one season to another.

REVERE is one of these fresh new starts and an opportunity for us to rediscover the gravity and the weightiness of the death of resurrection of our ‘Risen Savior’.

Raw Praise Captured On Latest REVERE Unscripted Single

Joseph Espinoza, Lebron Arnwine, Ana Nobrega, and Evelyn Cortazio got to meet and write together at a REVERE spiritual formation retreat focusing on Portuguese and English songs. As they had never met before, the group started by sharing their testimonies and were so stirred by what God had done for each of them that they penned a song focused on encouraging the Church to exclaim praise to the Lord.

‘Bless His Name’ reminds us of the Lord’s wonderful acts, from the Old Testament to Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. This song invites us to ‘Bless His Name’ and “proclaim his fame with every breath” with a celebratory “undignified spirit of David” type of arrangement, Joseph Espinoza notes.

REVERE’s English unscripted version of ‘Bless His Name’ starts off with a drum loop evolving on a piano melody and strong vocals from Joseph, capturing the raw spirit of praise of that moment.

“Bless His Name” is available now.

The REVERE Brasil project was birthed out of a writing camp and spiritual connection when REVERE and Oni Music partnered up to host collaborative bilingual writing camps from worship leaders and songwriters all over Brazil, the UK, and the USA.

What transpired was a spirit of collaboration even in the middle of the pandemic and having to work via Zoom with translators, learning the style and worship culture of different nations. After finally being able to connect in person when the Brazilian team visited Nashville in January 2022, REVERE Brasil is the first step to releasing a collaborative body of work that features Ana Paula Valadao, Gabriel Rocha, Gabriel Guedes, Nivea Soares, Isaias Saad, Central 3, Corey Voss, Lucy Grimble, Steph MacLeod, and Selah.

The new project compiles two years of bilingual songs being nurtured with REVERE’s heartbeat at the centre; one of reverential worship pointing to Jesus – the person not the act of worship – as well as a sense of comradery. REVERE Brasil is an 8-track EP with songs in Portuguese and English that carry the expression of a movement seeking to unite nations in reverence of the Lord.

REVERE Keep Expanding In The Portuguese-speaking World With “Infitino Amor”

‘Infinito Amor’ (Portuguese for “Everlasting Love”) was penned by Peve, Steph McLeod, and Lucy Grimble during a writing camp with worship leaders from Brazil, the United States, and the United Kingdom hosted on Zoom in 2020. On that day, Scottish singer-songwriter and worship leader Steph Macleod was told that his son had been involved in a work place accident, and due to lockdown rules, Steph and his wife could not attend to their son in the hospital.

All that Steph was left with was surrender, worship, thanksgiving, and through a translator, the sharing of this difficult moment with his co-writers. The song was birthed out of that moment, speaking about the living God who dwells within us; and that whatever comes our way, we can endlessly declare and sing of His goodness.

‘Infinito Amor’ features Brazil’s Central 3’s Peve and bandmate and collaborator Gabriela Maganete. You will soon also be able to hear the English version, Everlasting Love, sung by Steph Macleod and Lucy Grimble.
