RCA Inspiration Celebrates Multiple Nominations In Five Categories For The 2022 GMA Dove Awards

RCA Inspiration celebrates nine Dove Award nominations for song and album releases over the past year. This year’s 53rd Annual GMA Dove Awards will take place in October, with the nominations honoring releases from DOE (Life Room Label/RCA Inspiration), Travis Greene, Mali Music (K Approved Enterprises/RCA Inspiration), Koryn Hawthorne, and Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling (HezHouse Entertainment/RCA Inspiration).

The nominations span five categories: New Artist of the Year, Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song of the Year, Gospel Worship Recorded Song of the Year, Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year, and Traditional Gospel Album of the Year, with six nods across the two Contemporary Gospel categories.

Separately, DOE garnered a nomination for Gospel Worship Recorded Song of the Year on the track “Breathe” released from Maverick City Music (feat. Chandler Moore, Jonathan McReynolds, DOE), that she was a co-writer on.

The 53rd Annual GMA Dove Awards will be held live in Nashville, TN on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022, and air on Friday, October 21st, 2022 on TBN and the TBN app at 8 pm ET and 10 pm ET. There will be an encore presentation on Friday, October 28th, 2022 at 8 pm ET and 10 pm ET. Celebrating the variety of music and entertainment in the Christian and Gospel genres, the Gospel Music Association’s (GMA) Dove Awards honor Contemporary Christian and Gospel to Rap/Hip Hop, Rock, Pop/Contemporary, Bluegrass/Country/Roots, Inspirational, Spanish Language, Worship, Children’s albums, Film, and more.

The 2022 BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Juneteenth UNITYFEST concert, co-presented by the Robert Randolph Foundation (@therrfound) was held in Brooklyn, NY.

A national multi-cultural experience united diverse voices and communities, in commemoration and celebration of Juneteenth and Black culture, featured performances from multi-award winning gospel artist, Tye Tribbett (@tyetribbett), legendary vocalist, Deborah Cox (@deborahcox), Grammy-award winning gospel singer, Israel Houghton (@israelhougton), inspirational R&B singer, Mali Music (@malimusic), and six-time Grammy-nominated steel pedal-guitarist,Robert Randolph (@robertrandolph).

The event was hosted by actor and comedian Barry Brewer (@barrybrewerjr) and made possible by a phenomenal list of sponsors and partners, including Heal America, Levitt Foundation, and LiveOne as the official streaming partner.

Jonathan McReynolds & Mali Music Close Out 2021 With A Holiday Tiny Desk Concert

NPR Music premiered a special Tiny Desk Concert featuring GRAMMY-winning artists Jonathan McReynolds and Mali Music. Coming off the release of their collaborative album, Jonny x Mali: Live in LA, and the Jonny x Mali Tour earlier this year, the two artists showcase their prolific talents in this holiday themed performance. The concert, which closes out the NPR Music series for the year, includes some Christmas classics and a high energy rendition of “Movin On,” which earned Jonathan and Mali a GRAMMY for Best Gospel Performance / Song at the 2021 awards.

Additionally, Jonny x Mali: Live in LA is nominated in the Best Gospel Album category at the the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards taking place on January 31, 2022.

RCA Inspiration Congratulates Mali Music On His GRAMMY Award Win

RCA Inspiration, one of the premiere labels in Gospel and inspirational music, congratulates Mali Music (K Approved Enterprises/RCA Inspiration) on his first GRAMMY Award win. Announced during the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards Premiere Ceremony, Mali Music won Best Gospel Performance/Song as a co-performer in the Jonathan McReynolds & Mali Music #1 hit song “Movin’ On” (RCA Inspiration/eOne). Mali Music, who’s also a co-writer on the soulful track (credited as Kortney Jamaal Pollard), garnered this GRAMMY win on his fourth career nomination, following three prior nominations across Traditional R&B, Urban Contemporary, and Gospel categories.

Four-time GRAMMY® nominated artist, composer, and producer, Mali Music, premiered his new video for “Blessed,” an up-tempo, hip-hop infused track from Mali’s latest album, The Book of Mali (K Approved Enterprises / RCA Inspiration), which was released in August 2020.
