Ten-time GRAMMY nominee Tauren Wells releases new versions of his hit song “Joy In The Morning.” Wells recently announced his upcoming Spring 2023 headlining “Joy In The Morning Tour,” in support of his recent album by the same name.

Kicking off the 19-city tour on January 26th, 2023, the national run will hit cities across the Southeast, Eastern Seaboard, New England, Midwest, Southwest and West Coast.

Released in 2022, Joy In The Morning is Wells’ third solo album and first for Capitol Records/CCMG. He celebrated its release with appearances at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles, “Fox & Friends” and “Good Morning America.”

Most recently, Wells delivered the national anthem at the Detroit Lions’ 83^rd annual Thanksgiving Day Classic game against the Buffalo Bills. He also welcomed the holiday season with the release of his single “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays,” a reimagination of the much-loved *NSYNC classic.

This week’s devastating impact of Hurricane Ian in Florida necessitates moving dates for my 2022 Joy in the Morning Tour, which was set to launch next week. With the emotional toll from the tragic loss of life, the level of infrastructure damage, and the need for community clean-up over the next few weeks, we and the promoters have mutually determined it is necessary to move these events which, consequently, also means rerouting the entire tour. Some tour dates will remain in fall 2022, but others will necessarily have to move into 2023. We will post frequent updates on the progress of rescheduling the tour. If you already have tickets, the ticketing platform from which you purchased will email you information regarding any potentially rescheduled show.

Joy In The Morning is Wells’ third album and first for Capitol Records/CCMG. While the title captures the brightness that comes with the dawn, the songs capture the wide range of human experience. “Throughout the sessions, I was thinking, ‘How many people can I encourage with this album?’” he recalls. “You can consider the pain. Tickets for The Joy In The Morning Tour will go on sale on Monday, May 23 at 10a local time. This outing is Well’s third headline tour, following last year’s sold-out, 23-city run.

“Performing is my favorite part of what I do. I love it,” says Wells. “I love the entertainment aspect of it – just being able to get out there and dance and sing and crack jokes and tell stories. It is life-giving and it’s a great privilege to have people showing up every night to go there together.”

Joy In The Morning will be released by Capitol Records/CCMG on June 10. Wells will celebrate with an appearance at the GRAMMY Museum L.A. Live on June 13. The evening, which is part of the museum’s “The Drop” series, will feature an intimate conversation with Wells, moderated by television host Jason Kennedy, and a performance.
