Red Street Records’ recording artists Consumed By Fire drop their latest single, “Man That Made Me,” available everywhere today alongside an accompanying acoustic video.
The rising CCM trio comprised of brothers Josh, Jordan, and Caleb Ward wrote “Man That Made Me” as a tribute to their father, a traveling missionary who planted churches and ministered to more than 33 nations.
With powerful instrumentation and a lyrical message that’s guaranteed to pull the heartstrings of listeners, “Man That Made Me” holds an even greater impact as it releases on the one-year anniversary of their father’s passing.
Jordan Ward shares, “Growing up we would often hear a reoccurring sentiment from other men in the churches dad pastored saying, ‘Pastor, I was reflecting the other day about the type of husband and father I want to be, and then I thought of you… I told the Lord that if I was just half the husband, father, and man that you are to your family and the call of God on your life, then I would feel accomplished and fulfilled in these areas.’
As kids, it was incredible to hear men from around the world sharing the same feelings towards our dad. Now that we’re older and the torch has passed on to us, we find ourselves reflecting and feeling the same way.”
Written by Jordan and Caleb Ward along with Brian Bunn and produced by Scotty Wilbanks, “Man That Made Me” tells a story of a father’s legacy and the pride of his sons to be able to walk in his footsteps. The band shares the story behind the song that sings,
“When I look in the mirror, I’m starting to see / A little more of him and a little less of me / I hear the words that he taught me / About hope, my faith and belief / Now I’m just doing my best to take on / Half the faith that he stood on / That legacy you wanna leave / Now, I just wanna be / Lord, I just wanna be / Half of the man that made me.”
“Man That Made Me” follows Consumed By Fire’s recent First Things First EP release and current radio single, “First Things First,” which has climbed all the way to No. 2 on the Christian radio charts and marks the first Top 5 single for both the band and Red Street Records.
The trio has also been recently nominated for Group or Duo of the Year and Breakout Single of the Year for “First Things First” at the 2023 K-Love Fan Awards and will embark on their very first headlining tour this fall.

Singer/songwriter and worship leader Jennifer Marie has released her new EP, You Can Whisper, today, Friday, May 19, 2023.
The project, which follows the success of the title song, the gorgeous ballad, “You Can Whisper,” which hit the No. 1 spot on the weekly Christian Radio Chart, delivers a hopeful reminder that when life is at its lowest, even the softest prayer can make a significant difference.
“After having our second daughter, I felt the need to put my writing and music on hold to raise my young family,” says the mother of two, who first put her music-writing pen to paper at the age of 15. At the time, as she regretfully laid down her God-given gift of music, she felt like a flame went out in her heart.
But she rekindled that fire during her family’s annual vacation in 2020. During the week, sitting alone by the fireplace at a secluded cabin in the Minnesota woods, the Lord made it very clear to her that it was time to begin writing again.
The collection of songs she began writing at the cabin that evening is featured on her new project, You Can Whisper, produced by Sean Hill (Jamie Grace) and Beck Nebel.
With a diverse palette of creative influences, ranging from gospel/CCM greats CeCe Winans, Natalie Grant, Nichole Nordeman, and Kari Jobe, to pop stars like Alicia Keys, Lauryn Hill, Sarah McLachlan, Jewel, and Sara Bareilles, plus a lifelong love for classic Disney, Jennifer Marie’s potential to reach within and beyond the church walls are immediately apparent from the moment her magnetic voice and passionate playing deliver a series of deeply personal lyrics.
While each song on the EP has a different theme of love, hope, or longing, the overarching messages of this project are rooted in both fresh beginnings and finding one’s greatest purpose through steadfast faith. Given its ability to ever-so-eloquently touch on all of those themes, the title track was a natural place to start as the lead single.
“I have been a believer most of my life, but I can still easily get caught up and forget to prioritize God in my day-to-day activities,” says Jennifer Marie of the song’s subject matter. “The song, ’You Can Whisper,’ was written on a scratch piece of paper as I sat alone by the fire at the cabin back in 2020, returning to the Lord’s calling on my life: to go back to my love of writing music after several years of walking in the wilderness of life. I prayed for God to help me remember, to whisper into my heart the purpose and plans He made me for.”
Besides that thought-provoking ballad, which showcases her gentle, gorgeous vocals, the track listing includes the momentum-building believers’ anthem cry, “Breathe A Miracle,” which paves the way for the just-as-pristinely-produced “Keep It From Me.” “Keep It From Me” is a contemporary pop gem with a contemplative tone, and lyrics that focus on how the Lord is ultimately in control of everything in our lives.
There’s also the angelic delivery and breezy rhythms of the unwaveringly optimistic “Good Will Come,” the piano-centered beauty of the encouraging “Hold On,” alongside the chilling, ethereal closer, “Deep Waters,” a rejuvenating prayer of God’s faithfulness.
In “Keep It From Me,” Jennifer Marie reveals she isn’t afraid to tackle the toughest topics with honesty and authenticity. “‘Keep It From Me’ was written directly from my feelings of frustration that the Lord wasn’t taking something away that was painful in my life, while at the same time, trusting that He would keep me from something that wasn’t meant for me,” she remembers. “Those are really hard lessons to learn.”
“Hold On” was written for the person grappling with life when the bottom has fallen out,” continues Jennifer Marie. “I wrote this song for a person very near to my heart who had just lost a child, and it was difficult for me to know how to help her. When a couple endures the loss of a child, their pain feels endless. How can I plead for someone to hold on to hope when life can be so painful? Too often we believe the lie that God doesn’t want to be involved in our story, but as the song says, He sees you / He hears you… I wanted to encourage her to hold on to the truth that our heavenly Father saves every tear that falls. There is no circumstance beyond His love.”
As Jennifer Marie keeps moving forward in faith toward her calling, live audiences and online followers alike are joining her on the journey and embracing her heartfelt musical expressions.
“I’ve found that my God is constant and true. I bring my worries to Him and pray to be still enough to hear His voice,” she sums up. “My hope and prayer are that when someone questions the purpose of their life or wants to understand why bad things happen, God will use these songs to touch their hearts and calm their uncertainty.”

May 18th, 2023, rising hip-hop artist WHATUPRG just over a month after releasing “God Made A Way,” his first single since his debut album “New Hollywood,” has just dropped a new single, “BENDICIÓN”.
Produced by Andrew Prim and Enzo Gran, WHATUPRG returns with a bilingual song that captures the essence of the type of artist RG is. With its infectious Latin-inspired beats and uplifting lyrics, ” BENDICIÓN” is the perfect anthem for anyone seeking blessings and positivity in their life. The song begins with a mellow, yet powerful guitar riff that sets the tone for the rest of the track.
BENDICIÓN translates to Blessing, which is the theme RG continues to highlight in his music and to his listeners. His last single, God Made a Way, in which RG raps about God providing a way through the lows and struggles of life, has become an anthem for many creators on social media. Quickly after its release, the song began to trend on Instagram, with hundreds of creations per day, in which people used the song to tell their individual stories of triumph.
These stories, while fueled by the high-energy and inspirational beats of the song, were truly inspired when RG told his own story through various clips showcasing his journey as Mexican American artist from Gwinnett, Georgia who grew up loving music and refused to give up on his dreams.
RG raps about this on the new single as well, citing legends such as Lecrae and Kanye as his influence growing up. ‘I’m a product of Lecrae, Ye, Lupe, and André’ Notably, RG is now signed to Lecrae’s label, Reach Records–a story of success that social media outlets such as @liljupiterr and @sleepingongems reported on the once in a lifetime come up recently.
The artist has become an inspiration for many young, independent artists looking to fulfill their dreams, and Bendicion is once again another anthem, this time one that can also be enjoyed in RG’s native language of Spanish for others to grasp as a testimony of what can happen when you remain consistent and faithful.
RG’s debut album New Hollywood was released in September of 2022 and “BENDICIÓN” is RG’s second single in the past 2 months. Showing no sign of slowing down soon, fans have been and will be delighted with new music and content consistently.
Steven Malcolm is back with a monstrous new track featuring LZ7, “Monster,” available today on all DSPs. The song, produced by Jimmy James and Dayme highlights Steven’s battle with inner demons.
After releasing his landmark album Tree in 2022, the 5-time GMA Dove Award nominee continues to position himself as a leading voice in faith-based hip-hop music. Over rapid 808s and synthesizing bass lines, Malcolm depicts the disruptive forces aiming for his flesh. His swift flows are delivered in a melodic riddim that nods to his Jamaican roots.
The powerful lyricism fortifies LZ7’s poignant hook, “There’s a monster living underneath / If I said there wasn’t I’d be lying through my teeth / So will I finally find me and find the real me / Will I finally find me and set the monster free.”
“I’ve always loved the drill sound,” says Steven. “The link up with LZ7 was perfect because it brought the sound of the UK and the heart of Jesus all in one room. I wanted to go beyond the surface and talk about something we all struggle with, the inner evil desires.”
This is Malcolm’s first collaboration with the rap-dance outfit hailing from the UK. LZ7’s frontman Lindz West’s hypnotic vocals amplify Malcolm’s suave, tactful rhymes. The solemn theme reinforces Malcolm’s ambition to be transparent and relatable to his listeners.
He raps, “Don’t try n lie to me / What be inside be haunting and wicked / Daily I pry / Peel back the layers / It took me a minute / Faithful I battle / Sword on my side I’M READY TO DRILL IT!”
“Monster” sets the tone for Malcolm’s forthcoming album and serves as a rallying cry for those feeling conflicted. It’s a story of faith and triumph as listeners hear Malcolm slay his demons. Later this month, the Michigan-bred hip-hop artist will share his impassioned bops with more than 30,000 music fans across the UK at Big Church Festival 2023. The long-running music festival is known for showcasing the best Christian artists in the world.
