With over 2-million streams as well as appearances on Good Morning America, That Sounds Fun podcast with Annie F. Downs, and I Am Second, MŌRIAH (Smallbone) releases a new EP entitled Curtain Call today (Oct 28).
In time for Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 – October 15), this studio recording of her hit EP Live from the Quarryshowcased elevated sound and vocals from the chart-topping Latin-American recording artist. MŌRIAH self-produced each studio rendition under her independent creative services company, Sanctuary Studios. Her focus with this release was to show singers and songwriters how to see their “indie artist” season as an opportunity to incubate the skills of engineering, distributing, and marketing their own music.
The American Idol alum, who is co-host and producer of K-LOVE/AccessMore’s Hit Podcast BECOMING:us shares, “For many years, I was looking for permission to express the sounds I was hearing in my head. It wasn’t until I decided to produce by myself that I was able to uncover my own healing.”
MŌRIAH describes the production process this way: “Maybe you’ve heard these lyrics before. But not like this. Every rhythm element, synth sound, texture, bass line, and guitar strum came from my fingers. It’s imperfect, it’s messy, it’s experimental and it’s from my heart. To yours. Each song has come back for its ‘Curtain Call.’ To say thank you, in its most honest form, for your love, your friendship, and your honesty. You are known, seen, and loved.”
As Lecrae releases, Church Clothes 4, he boldly stands at the crossroads of sacred and secular, a lane he unashamedly accepts. In the ten years since the first Church Clothes mixtape (hosted by DJ Don Cannon) released in 2012, no one has been able to surpass the heights that Lecrae has reached crossing CHH over to the mainstream, planting his feet simultaneously in the street and the Church without compromising. While the critics blasted him for not picking a side, the people spoke even louder, downloading the music for the original Church Clothes over 100,000 times within 48 hours.
On November 4th, he brings the righteous and ratchet together yet again and this time for Church Clothes 4, the last of the mixtape series! He maintains the unashamed posture reflecting on Romans 116, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to EVERYONE who believes first to the Jew, then to the Gentile!’ emphasizing that his music also is not just for believers, but for everyone! In Episode 2 of his Church Clothes TV short airing on YouTube, Lecrae explains, “I’ve always been a combination of my roots and my faith. I love God but I grew up in hip-hop and the hood. People always want to put me in one camp or the other. Truth is you (with me), you can’t have the righteous without the ratchet. They’re two sides of the same coin.”
While Church Clothes 4‘s first single “Spread The Opps,” recognized the opposition, his second single “Fear Not” acknowledges that our faith in God is bigger than our deepest fears! On “Spread The Opps,” Lecrae stated “I’ve been running for so long from the opposition. Since I was a kid, there were enemies, both physical and spiritual, that were trying to destroy me. I decided to stop running. This song, “Spread The Opps,” is me knowing that even in the valley of death, God is with me. He’s scattering the opposition.”
On the second single, “Fear Not,” he shares,“Everyone deals with fear. I’ve met some of the most hardened criminals sitting behind prison walls confess their fears. Fear makes us run, or fight, or do nothing. I believe the cure is fear is faith. Faith in a God who is bigger than our biggest fears. We don’t have to be afraid of the dark. The dark is afraid of the light within us. Fear Not is the articulation of that.”
A verse in “Fear Not,” speaks to the illusion of fame! “They don’t even recognize me when they see me coming all they see is fame. They don’t know behind these Cartier’s, just a little boy full of pain.”

Putting a 21st century arrangement on a 19th century classic hymn, Jermaine Bollinger releases a new single, “The Solid Rock,” to Christian AC-formatted radio outlets today. His latest release, based on “My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less,” is included on Bollinger’s album titled “Classics.”
“The Solid Rock,” written by Bollinger and Edward Mote, follows “Risen,” which debuted at No. 1 at CRC Weekly and is the fourth consecutive chart-topper for Bollinger.
The Christian music industry veteran’s career also has produced the No. 1 singles “Revival, released by Bollinger’s ministry, Little Egypt Worship; “Set Us Free,” which Bollinger released in 2021, and “Beyond,” a single released earlier this year.
Named for Jermaine Jackson from the iconic Jackson 5, Bollinger has developed into an excellent representation of his namesake. Not only is Bollinger a talented singer/songwriter, but the musician plays a variety of instruments, including drums, keyboards, guitar and bass.

Singer-songwriter Rachael Nemiroff will treat her fans to a visualizer version of “Hero or Heretic” with Steven Malcolm. The black and white version will be more relaxed with the artists, as they give a more personal treatment of the song.
It’s a good way to enjoy “Hero or Heretic” with two different presentations that still have the same great sound and the artist’s performances. The music video will debut Friday at 11:00 am CT.
“I wanted to give music lovers another piece of the song that included the visual lyrics,” said Nemiroff. “With this revised version, it can give fans the opportunity to hear the song in a new way. My fans seemed to enjoy the visualizers in the past, so it’s a special treat for them.”
