One Million Streaming Artist Jeremy Parsons To Release First Single From Forthcoming LP

Influenced by the COVID pandemic, the San Antonio singer-songwriter will release “Tickin’” on October 28th, 2022.

Clock is on the wall
And it keeps tickin’
Yeah time comes for us all
And keeps on tickin’

–Jeremy Parsons, “Tickin’”

San Antonio’s Jeremy Parsons’ 2017 album release, “Things I Need To Say” propelled the prolific singer-songwriter onto the national and international stage. With introspective songs like “Burn This House Down” and “After All These Years” and innovative, award-winning music videos like “Why Is the Bluebird Blue” and “Making Things Up as I Go,” Parsons put himself on the radar as one of roots music’s brightest new artists.

2021’s “Things To Come” continued Parsons’ string of success. The album was recognized as one of Blues and Roots Radio’s Best of the Year. Singles like the title song, as well as “Tragedy,” “Something Other Than You Are” and “Good Ole Days,” hit the top of international iTunes sales charts, as well as charting on national radio airplay charts in the US and abroad. Spotify streaming totals for both albums have surpassed 1 million!

Now, Jeremy Parsons is releasing the first single from his next album project, and it’s shaping up to be his most innovative and genre-breaking releases to day. “Tickin’,” written by Parsons and produced by Dustin Martin, the single brings electronic music elements into the mix. “Tickin’” is out on October 28th, with pre-sale already underway.

“We have those moments when we sit down and look where we are, said Jeremy Parsons. “Sometimes followed by that is the thought, ‘is this where I thought I’d be?’ or ‘is this where I should be in my life?’ The pandemic embodied this moment for me. I was lucky enough to be so devoted to my craft and to have that as my clear focus, but it did leave me wondering, ‘what if I didn’t?’ I pondered where I would have been mentally and emotionally if not for that.”

He further added, “It abundantly clarified how precious our time is and what the focus should be on. I’m lucky to have this creative outlet and found my path in this life. That’s all I want for anyone else. I want them to be happy with their choices for themselves and their life. It’s a journey for us all; we have the time we need to take it and should not take that for granted.”

The Curse of K.K. Hammond Announces Special Halloween Pre-Sale For New Album “Death Roll Blues”

The Curse of K.K. Hammond is an innovative slide guitarist, singer and songwriter who is interpreting Blues music from her own unique perspective. With a love for all things dark, she takes influence from Blues icons such as Skip James, Robert Johnson, Son House, Charlie Patton and Leadbelly, and combines it with her personal musical style and lyrics, thus creatively transforming the Blues genre into her own unique sound, known as “Horror Blues.”

Hammond explains her sound: “It must never be forgotten than Blues music traditionally arose out of some very hard times for African American people and has touched upon some dark subject matters historically. Of course, the early folklore surrounding musicians such as Tommy Johnson and Robert Johnson selling their souls to the devil certainly paved the way for the combination of blues and horror themes too. My lyrics tend to be pretty dark and unsettling at times, and I felt this was the perfect springboard to launch myself into making horror themed music videos to best deliver them.”

Her highly anticipated new album “Death Roll Blues” is scheduled for release on March 31, 2023. In order to celebrate the spooky season in its full force, K.K. Hammond has announced a special Halloween pre-sale for the album, thus giving listeners an opportunity to get a look at the album before the official launch date. For those who purchase the album in advance, the title track will be available as an “Instant Gratification” track.

K.K’s single “The Ballad of Lampshade Ed” (featuring David & the Devil, a fellow bluesman who can claim Jason Momoa as a fan) was extremely well received by listeners and fans hitting the Number 1 spot on the UK itunes Blues chart upon its release.

Watch “The Ballad of Lampshade Ed”

K.K has some excellent industry support including regular plays on the BBC radio 2 Blues Show with Cerys Matthews and Huey Morgan, and on the award-winning “Blue Show” with Gary Grainger. She is also regularly played on the “Balling the Jack Blues show” hosted by Joe Cushley, as well as a multitude of other blues radio stations and podcasts worldwide.

More details about The Curse of K.K. Hammond, along with the Halloween pre-sale, can be seen at http://www.thecurseofkkhammond.com .

Jason Crabb Unwraps Christmas Musical Masterpiece ‘Miracle In A Manger’

Two-Time GRAMMY® winner and 22-time GMA Dove Award winner Jason Crabb unwraps Christmas joy as he releases Miracle In A Mangerspreading holiday cheer and bringing focus to the true reason for the season.

The new project, released on Red Street Records, is available now to download, stream and purchase on CD and vinyl.

Jason’s power-packed vocals are backed by intricate instrumentation and lush orchestral arrangements – all recorded with live strings, woodwind and brass.

Miracle In A Manger kicks off with the rollicking “Go Tell It On The Mountain” and takes the listener through a Christmas journey full of timeless treasures and a few new ‘sure-to-be’ Christmas classics, including the contemplative “Who Could’ve Dreamed,” and beloved songs, “Let It Snow,” “Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “O Holy Night,” and more.

Helmed by GRAMMY®-winning producer Jay DeMarcus, owner of Red Street Records and member of Rascal Flatts, the LP was produced alongside Kevin Rooney (Tauren Wells, Zach Williams, Danny Gokey, Crowder,) and the late Tim Akers (Reba McEntire, CeCe Winans), who passed away recently from cancer. This was Akers’ final project and includes the last songs he wrote.

Jason Crabb says: “I have long admired the musical talent of Tim Akers. From the moment I heard his recordings and arrangements, I knew he had a special gift. Never in a million years did I dream that I would become a friend of his, and to have the opportunity to work with him on this project was truly an honor I can hardly describe. Little did I, or anyone, know that this Christmas project would be Tim’s last project. Thank you, Tim, for sharing your heart and soul in these recordings!”

Jay DeMarcus, owner of Red Street Records, says: “This album is Jason at his finest. Families will enjoy this timeless collection of Christmas songs for many years to come. It continues to be such an honor to work with one of the most talented singers ever.”

“When I signed to Red Street, Jay asked me what I wanted to do. Immediately, I told him a Christmas project was a life-long dream of mine,” Crabb shares. “I hope this Christmas project will stand the test of time. I hope my grandkids will listen to this one day and be proud of what Grandpa did.”

Crabb also penned two songs on this project, the title track “Miracle In A Manger,” written with DeMarcus and Akers, and “Being Home For Christmas,” written with Caleb & Jordan Ward and the legendary Don Koch.

The moving ballad, “Miracle In A Manger,” focuses on the season’s true meaning with Crabb reflecting through song, “It’s a miracle in a manger, nothing more sacred, nothing is stranger. Hope for the world, the promised Savior, a miracle there in a manger.”

“I had a blast writing and recording these songs,” said Crabb. “Even though it was 100 degrees outside when we recorded, we bumped the air down as low as it would go and immersed ourselves in the music.”

“Being Home For Christmas,” which celebrates the joys of family over the commercialized Christmas season, is sure to be a standout. “This song feels just like a warm blanket, cozied up by the fire with your family,” says Crabb. “It just feels good! It’s one of my favorite tracks on the project.”

Crabb puts his own signature spin on two newly-beloved Christmas classics, welcoming special guest Iveth Luna on the perennial holiday tune, “Tennessee Christmas,” made popular and written by Amy Grant, along with delivering an emotive, vocally excellent performance of “Mary, Did You Know?,” written by Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene.

Crabb will support the project through an upcoming Christmas tour and multiple television appearances throughout the holiday season.

Raw Praise Captured On Latest REVERE Unscripted Single

Joseph Espinoza, Lebron Arnwine, Ana Nobrega, and Evelyn Cortazio got to meet and write together at a REVERE spiritual formation retreat focusing on Portuguese and English songs. As they had never met before, the group started by sharing their testimonies and were so stirred by what God had done for each of them that they penned a song focused on encouraging the Church to exclaim praise to the Lord.

‘Bless His Name’ reminds us of the Lord’s wonderful acts, from the Old Testament to Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. This song invites us to ‘Bless His Name’ and “proclaim his fame with every breath” with a celebratory “undignified spirit of David” type of arrangement, Joseph Espinoza notes.

REVERE’s English unscripted version of ‘Bless His Name’ starts off with a drum loop evolving on a piano melody and strong vocals from Joseph, capturing the raw spirit of praise of that moment.

“Bless His Name” is available now.

Rusty Shipp Release Long-Anticipated Concept Album

After releasing NINE new singles in 2022 from their upcoming album — officially titled “Cosmic Innuendo, Vol. 1: Dark Side of the Ocean” — which includes the radio hits “Bottom of the Barrel” and “What’s Kraken?”, Rusty Shipp have finally released the long-anticipated, full-length concept album to the public on digital streaming and retail platforms.

The album stands as an artistic landmark for the band, being their first full-length concept album to be included in a larger, successive story arc, titled “Cosmic Innuendo.” Aside from occasional nods to the famous Pink Floyd album, the album conceptually emphasizes the balance between dark and light, descent and ascent, men and angels. The first half of the album (21 ½ minutes) called “DESCENT” follows the descent of a drowned sailor sinking past undiscovered creatures and mysteries to the bottom of the ocean where his soul is intercepted by a group of sea angels and taken to their underwater kingdom. The second half of the album (21 ½ minutes) is called “ASCENT” and explores this angelic kingdom, ruled by “Poseidon” the Ocean’s King Archangel. After debating the danger involved, the angels decide to ascend and see why men’s souls are sinking so often from the ocean’s surface, feeling a duty to help these men in the world above the waves, which the angels ironically call “Heaven.”

Following this theme of balance, the songs create a diverse tapestry of eclectic genres (grunge, surf, punk, ska, reggae, metal, acoustic, etc) and innovative artistry, while each song also stands on its own as single-worthy with catchy riffs and melodic hooks that give each a pop commerciality. Beneath the surface of the artistic imagery of sea angels, the philosophical messages in each song reflect the angst and conflict that can clearly be traced back to the climate of 2020, in which the lyrics were written. Yet while confronting the issues of 2020 that tore the world apart, the songs carefully shift the perspective of the listener to the things that will bring us all together again, the real hope that is available to every soul on the planet

Mitch Wong Announces Debut Album With Theologically-charged First Single

Australian songwriter and worship leader Mitch Wong introduces ‘Burial’, the first single from his forthcoming debut album. Written in collaboration with Cody Carnes, the new song explores the biblical nature of death and resurrection.

“I knew that this song would be track number one because the album goes on a journey from ‘burial’ to ‘bloom’,” Mitch comments. Yet, more than a structural and creative move, introducing his project with

‘Burial’ sets the scene for the revelation carried in his song writing: the mystery that unfolds after the burial is that we are made new creations in Christ; the old is gone and behold, the new has come. The theological depth of Mitch Wong’s songs is central in his ministry, and ‘Burial’ expands on the challenging call to discipleship that one must face when following Jesus.

“I hope this song provides revelation and wakes people up to the countercultural nature of the Kingdom of God,” he adds. The weighty and hopeful message of ‘Burial’ is shared on an airy and bright soundscape transpiring with the artist’s joy and conviction.

“Can you just imagine all the beautiful little miracles that wait beyond our choice to bury our fears, our pride, and our busy schedules?! The way of the Kingdom is dying to self and living for Christ […] I pray this song will stir believers to embrace that,” he concludes.

With ‘Burial’, Mitch Wong offers the Church a worshipful call to discipleship and a reminder that Jesus asks for our surrender.

“Burial” is available now.

[Music] Father – Branan Murphy

Branan Murphy releases his new single “Father” (Paravel / DREAM) available on all digital service providers today.  The song is released as both a single track and a multitrack coupled with a Dolby Atmos version on Apple Music.

This upbeat pop song was produced by Grammy nominated and 2021 Dove Award winning producer of the year Jordan Sapp.  Murphy also teamed up with Sapp and Dove Award winning songwriter, Paul Duncan to pen the song.

“Father” is a worshipful song amongst the chaos of the world but dig deeper and there’s another layer that addresses the cry’s of absence fathers in the home.

“I was in the studio with Jordan Sapp and Paul Duncan and it was right around the time of all the tragic things that were happening in Afghanistan last year”, Branan explains during a recent interview. We were talking about all of that, and I remember we were all just overwhelmed at how extra crazy the world seemed that day. From Covid to all the political stuff in America to Afghanistan. It was just very real to us that day that the world doesn’t just need God, it needs a Father.

“There’s so much fatherlessness everywhere as it is, but then on top of that, to not know your Creator, your heavenly Father, that’s a hopeless place to be. When you think about it, so many times, the world just looks like a bunch of children without their dad. Sadly, for way too many, that’s true. So we started writing, diagnosing our issues, and we wanted a song that was a desperate cry for help, a cry for the love and the presence of the Father in the mess we’ve made on earth, knowing that he’s not far at all from any of us.”

“Father” will be sent to radio at the turn of the 2023 year and is available now to download/stream.

Earlier this week we shared a TCB Exclusive, where Murphy reflects on what inspired this new song, how he hopes “Father” connects with listeners and where he’s drawing inspiration from recently.
