The collaborations of Bill and Gloria have resulted in more than 700 popular gospel songs, including the hymnal standards “Because He Lives” and “He Touched Me.” They have collectively garnered eight GRAMMY Awards and more than a dozen nominations; and they have received more than two dozen Gospel Music Association (GMA) DOVE Awards, earning the title “Songwriter of the Year” eight times.

Bill and Gloria were the first musical artists to be inducted into the Christian Booksellers Association’s Hall of Honor, and they recorded the first inspirational album to achieve gold status by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Bill and Gloria were named Songwriters of the Century by the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers, and they were honored by the Indiana Historical Society in 2006 with the Living Legend Award. The couple are members of the Gospel Music Hall of Fame as well as the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame.

In the early ‘80s, Bill founded the Gaither Vocal Band, a group that has raised the bar for gospel quartets and touched audiences all over the world for more than 30 years. Together the couple has eagerly shared their stage and helped define the careers of countless young artists.

In 1991, Bill gathered the Vocal Band together with a few of his gospel music heroes to record a song. That recording marked the birth of Gaither Music Group’s Homecoming Video Series, which has grown to more than 150 titles strong. Gaither Music Group has sold over 40 million DVDs and CDs, and 130 of the Gaither Homecoming videos have achieved precious metal status by the RIAA, with 10 certified multi-platinum, 60 certified platinum, and 60 certified gold.

With performances in world-renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and The Sydney Opera House, the award-winning Homecoming Series airs weekly on television networks all over North America and Europe; and the Homecoming concert tour celebrates more than 25 years of live events that bring gospel music to major arenas around the world.

The Rock Music Boldly Proclaims ‘The Future Is Sure’ July 14

The Rock Music, a collective of Spirit-led, Christ-centered worshippers flourishing for more than two decades in the heart of Utah, is set to bow to The Future Is Sure on July 14. Produced by Sam Hart (Aaron Shust), Joel Pack, Jordan Clark, and Nate Pyfer, the seven-song EP features five originals along with two beloved classics reimagined in the acclaimed ensemble’s signature style.

Celebrating the certainty of the Good News, The Future Is Sure delivers such standout tracks as “Mercy,” an intimate and yearning response of worship co-penned by Sam Hart along with The Rock Music’s Steele Croswhite, Thomas Scribner and Caleb Yetton; “Not Like Mine,” a tender worship ballad by Croswhite pledging total devotion to the Lord; and the soaring pop anthem and latest single “Saved By Grace.” The latter cut features a guest turn from Nashville-based worship duo For The Fatherless and was co-written by Croswhite and For The Fatherless’ Brian Yak.

the future is sure

“With conviction and clarity, Brian and I penned ‘Saved By Grace’ in the span of an afternoon,” shares Croswhite. “It was written with those who have struggled with religious legalism in mind. Our congregation, The Rock Church, is located in Utah, where less than three percent of the culture identifies as Christian.

Although many in our region have heard of Jesus, they do not understand the radically free gift of salvation, grace, and forgiveness offered to us through His sacrifice. As the Bible says in Ephesians 2:8-9, ‘For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.’”

The Future Is Sure also spotlights The Rock Music’s take on the stirring African American spiritual “Give Me Jesus” and a reinterpretation of the popular modern hymn “How Deep The Father’s Love,” alongside the original selections birthed from the Salt Lake City-based collective’s mission to bring glory to Jesus while evoking worship from the Church.

“Woven throughout the EP are themes of grace, mercy, holiness, repentance, and worship,” Croswhite adds. “In collaborating with multiple producers and songwriters, our prayer was to release a body of work that is filled with longing and hope, providing expressions of both corporate worship and intimate moments of communion with the Lord.”

Joseph Habedank To Release New Single “The Basement” May 25

Joseph Habedank, one of today’s leading voices in Christian music is set to release “The Basement,” on Daywind Records, Friday, May 25th. The date signifies his ten years of sobriety from drugs. The track is co-written by Habedank and is a homage to the thousands of church basements that hold meetings for people seeking recovery from addiction across the world.

thebasement

In a personal and redemptive voice, Habedank shares the following with his fans as he prepares to release “The Basement”:

“It was like a tornado hit in May of 2013. Every single part of my life was impacted and damaged by my drug addiction.  If you can imagine the scene. It’s dark, it looks like more storms are on the way, and any eventual restoration looks almost impossible.

But on May 25 of that year, the clouds began to break.  I made it through the day, and days after, 24 hours at a time. Through much prayer and the support of Porter’s Call and MusiCares, I began my path to recovery at Cumberland Heights in Nashville, TN. After 30 days of inpatient treatment, through the advice of my counselors, I then attended 90 recovery meetings in 90 consecutive days.

Just as one would seek shelter during a tornado, many of these recovery meetings took place in the basement of different churches around Nashville.  In March of 2022, I sat down with my friends and fellow songwriters Michael Farren and Tony Wood to write what is now ‘The Basement.’

Ed Leonard, president of Daywind Records, shares his thoughts, “This song captures the miraculous way that God works in recovery programs around the world. An addict’s journey to recovery is painful, emotional, lonely, and hard. It is usually riddled with setbacks and shortfalls.

Many don’t survive. The best chance for survival is to seek the help of professionals in a place filled with people who are struggling just like you. Take things one day at a time, sheltered in these safe spaces, and allow God to take control and work in your life. Joseph followed this path and works each day to stay sober.

Daywind made the decision without hesitation to support Joseph and his solo ministry from the beginning. We knew his character. He had a support system with his program. He had accountability and support through his incredible wife, Lindsay. But most of all, Joseph has the Master Physician in his life.

The people encouraged through his testimony, both addicts themselves and the large and growing population of people whose lives have been affected by addicts, number in the hundreds of thousands. We are so proud of Joseph and will continue to support him and those who struggle with or are affected by addiction, one day at a time.”
