Coquí Releases New Christmas Song “I’ll Still Have Christmas Day”
DREAM Records artists Coquí debuts his new Christmas song “I’ll Still Have Christmas Day” today on all digital retailers and streaming service providers. “I’ll Still Have Christmas Day” is a reflecting song going back to a time of happiness when Samuel Jacob Lopez Jr., better known as Coquí, was young.
It’s the type of song that slows life down during the busy schedule to thank the Lord for the memories of growing up during the Christmas time. The song was self-produced and written by Samuel Jacob Lopez Jr. and mixed and mastered by Jeanmark Rodríguez.
“This song takes me back to Christmas as a little kid, before life got complicated and the holidays felt a little different. It’s a nostalgic nod to those carefree moments, blending classic Christmas vibes with vintage big band flair, dub reggae, psychedelic era Beatles, and a touch of California surf.
While it’s not overtly about the deeper meaning of Christmas, it’s about celebrating what this time of year represents—family, memories, and the chance to slow down and reconnect. My hope is that it becomes one of those songs you keep coming back to every holiday season, a little piece of your own Christmas tradition.” – Coquí
