The Spirituals Celebrate Black History Through Reimagined Hymns
The Spirituals presents their awaited new release, “The Hymns Project.”
Formed in 2020 by artist and creative director, Junior Garr, with arranger and conductor, Marsha Morrison, this award-winning choir celebrates Black History through soul-stirring music. This new EP features five songs that embody The Spirituals’ journey of reimagining hymns, breathing new life into timeless songs and telling God’s grand story in a fresh manner.
Their gripping choir arrangements and captivating performances invite a new generation to embrace the heritage of these sacred songs. Based in London, The Spirituals have graced renowned venues like Lambeth Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, and even Wembley Arena.
With “The Hymns Project,” they hope to continue growing their reach of people and fostering a deeper connection with God by presenting renditions of hymns that have transcended generations, carrying the message of God’s love and hope.
