[Music Video] Perfection – Switch

Switch releases the official music video for “perfection,” which can be viewed below.

On some level, we all deal with insecurity, the feeling like we just don’t measure up. The beautiful truth is we are not created to measure up to anything. In fact, we are made in the image of God, exactly according to his perfect plan. He loves you as you are and who you are end of the story. We believe this truth will bring you freedom. — Switch

The track is featured on the group’s 2021 EP Better ViewPart I(Sony Music/Provident’s Essential Worship). The six-song EP has a mix of fun tracks and more reflective tracks, both of which will help listeners get a clearer picture of who God is and how much He loves them

Cassidy adds, “We hope this song helps listeners understand that in every moment—high or low—God sees them, He loves them, and He will never let them down.”

[Album] Better View, Part II – Switch

Better View, Part II from Switch is out now (courtesy of Sony Music/Provident’s Essential Worship). Leading up to its anticipated release, the group dropped singles “Covered” and “Letting Go” earlier this year accompanied by lyric videos.

“This project is special to me because, during the times when I felt the most doubt or had the biggest questions, I felt too ashamed to ask them,” said Luke Guevara from Switch. “My prayer is that these songs create a space for wrestling with doubt, acknowledging uncertainty, and embracing the journey of faith.”

Part II of the Better View project follows the fall 2021 release of Better View, Part I. This project brings a Top 40 sound with a 90’s influence, bridging the gap between pop music and Christian lyrics. As with Better View, Part I, the release and theme of Part II come from the group’s hope that as people listen to the songs, they will gain a better view of God and how much He loves them.

“We are passionate about creating songs that combine a modern sound with the truth of the Gospel, and we wrote this album for anyone who is struggling with questions about their faith, especially students and young adults,” shares Switch’s Cassidy Estevez. “This is the first generation that’s growing up with so much exposure to unfiltered hardships across the world and social media comparison as a part of everyday life. We wrote these songs to help them navigate these difficulties with a faith perspective.”

[Music] Covered – Switch

Following the release of “Letting Go” in January, today Switch announces the release of their latest single, “Covered.” Both singles will be on the group’s upcoming album, Better View, Part II, releasing March 11th. Sung by Switch member Cassidy Estevez, “Covered” is an upbeat song that describes the lightness we feel when we put our trust solely in Jesus.

“The song reminds us that we don’t have to know all the answers to know that Jesus has us covered,” said Estevez. “Even in the middle of uncertainty, we can find freedom when we choose to trust God’s plan for our lives.”

Part II of the Better View project follows the fall 2021 release of Better View, Part I (Sony Music/ Provident’s Essential Worship). This project brings a Top 40 sound with a 90’s influence, bridging the gap between pop music and Christian lyrics. [Music] Letting Go – Switch

Switch dropped their newest single, “Letting Go,” ahead of the release of their upcoming album, Better View, Part II, out March 11th. The second part of their Better View project follows the fall 2021 EP release of Better View, Part I (Sony Music/Provident’s Essential Worship).

“Letting Go” guides the listener through a raw conversation with God, starting with hard questions and leading to the realization that God is loving and trustworthy. As one of the more worshipful songs on the upcoming album, its chorus sings: “Even with these questions I open up my hands / Come and wreck my plans / While I’m waiting I will worship I trust You’re in control / Come and make me whole, I’m letting go.”

The songs found on the upcoming release of Better View, Part II bring a Top 40 sound with a 90’s influence, bridging the gap between pop music and Christian lyrics. As with Better View, Part I, the release and theme of Part II come from the group’s hope that as people listen to the songs, they will gain a better view of God and how much He loves them.

“We wrote this album for anyone who is struggling with questions, but especially for the students and young adults who are part of our church,” the members of Switch share. “They’re the first generation that’s growing up with exposure to unfiltered hardships across the world and social media comparison as a part of everyday life. We wrote these songs to help them navigate these difficulties with a faith perspective.”
