Planetshakers Releases New Recording Of Popular Song “Nothing Is Impossible”

Internationally recognized praise and worship band Planetshakers globally releases “Nothing Is Impossible – Live In Manila,” today (Feb. 24) from Venture3Media (V3M). First released in 2011 and having received over 150 million streams to date across various platforms, the newly recorded live version is available now at all major digital and streaming outlets via https://planetshakers.streamlink.to/nothingisimpossiblelive.

Written and produced by Joth Hunt, “Nothing Is Impossible” was recorded by Planetshakers band as 60,000 people attended four back-to-back sold-out events in Manila, Philippines Sept. 8-11, 2022 at the 15,000-seat SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The band was visibly energized by the audience’s explosive, jubilant response to the song. Along with the audio, this joyful declaration is captured on video for the Deluxe Edition of the single.

“The year was 2008, and I remember standing in a Planetshakers staff prayer meeting when Pastor Russell [Evans] told us he was preaching on Sunday about faith,” says Hunt of the song’s early roots.

“So I went back to the studio and began to read the Bible and pray and ask God to give me a song of faith. Thirty minutes later, ‘Nothing Is Impossible’ was birthed.”

Since then, the song has been recorded in multiple languages by numerous other musicians around the world, each incorporating their own creative expressions.

“To see the impact of this song and how God has used this song is just amazing,” continues Hunt. “I remember hearing about a boy who got struck by lightning.

He ended up in the hospital being a quadriplegic. As he laid in the hospital, his family decided to play this song on repeat and fill the atmosphere of that hospital room with faith. When the doctors said there was going to be no way, we saw God do a mighty miracle where he was fully restored and able to walk again.

Nothing Is Impossible – Planetshakers

“This song is filled with the Word of God,” adds Hunt. “The Word of God is Truth that says we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. And we see so many impossible situations being made possible by the power of God.” See the remarkable video backstory of this song below.

Along with “Nothing Is Impossible” and the recently released, “Yes And Amen,” Planetshakers’ current, full production live album GREATER and its companion GREATER: Live At Chapel project both released last fall. The chapel album re-crafts GREATER songs in a musically accessible way for smaller gatherings and was recorded by the band on a mountaintop vista near Melbourne, Australia along with Planetshakers Bible College students.

[Album] GREATER: Live At Chapel – Planetshakers

Internationally recognized praise and worship band Planetshakers globally releases GREATER: Live At Chapel today (Oct. 28) from Venture3Media (V3M). Available now at all major digital and streaming outlets via https://planetshakers.streamlink.to/greaterlive, the album was recorded live by Planetshakers band on a mountaintop vista near Melbourne, Australia along with Planetshakers Bible College students.

Following the release of Planetshakers’ full production, live album GREATER last month, the core Planetshakers worship team, which consists of Joth HuntSam EvansAndy HarrisonJosh HamAimee WalkerChelsi NikkerudRudy Nikkerud and more, gathered again for the intimate mountaintop encounter, GREATER: Live At Chapel. Re-crafting GREATER songs in a musically accessible way for smaller gatherings, this chapel recording was produced and mixed by Hunt, who also wrote or co-wrote all but one title on the 11-song recording.

“As our praise went up in His presence, we had the overwhelming sense of God’s glory coming down, even as the mountain was engulfed in a cloud the day we recorded,” shares Hunt.

In the turmoil of the valley, where stressors like inflation, finances and health can take a heavy toll and can lead to depression, Planetshakers offers praise and worship that reaches toward the mountaintop despite any present circumstances.

“It may not happen all at once, sometimes it takes years, but like a bodybuilder building strength over time through strenuous exercise, so is our praise leading us upwards,” says Sr. Pastor Russell Evans. “Like a tapestry in the hand of God, how much more beautiful is that view after having spent time in the valley.”

“When one realizes that Jesus is greater than anything that we may face in life, there is a freedom and peace that you walk into that truly reflects God’s kingdom and inspires others to chase after the same life changing encounter,” adds Sr. Pastor Sam Evans.

Sharing a joyful celebration that infuses every aspect of Planetshakers, GREATER: Live At Chapel opens with the remarkable trade of “Beauty for Ashes,” declares that God is greater than any situations we face in the title track, and highlights the thankful, steadfast response of praise with “Victory of Jesus” and “Psalm 23.”

Planetshakers Releases Live Album ‘Greater’

Internationally recognized praise band Planetshakers globally releases GREATER today (Sept. 2) from Venture3Media (V3M). Available now at all major digital and streaming outlets via https://link.brddg.co/greaterlive, the album was recorded live at Planetshakers’ GREATER Conference in Melbourne, Australia earlier this year.

GREATER is a full production experience featuring the core Planetshakers worship team consisting of Joth HuntSam EvansAndy HarrisonJosh HamAimee EvansNoah WalkerChelsi NikkerudRudy Nikkerud and more. Produced and mixed by Hunt, who also wrote or co-wrote all but one title on the album, the 11-song recording was inspired by Pastor Russell Evans.

“Pastor Russell has a God-given theme for every year, and for 2022, the theme is ‘greater,’” says Hunt, who wrote the title track with Pastor Sam Evans. “In Planetshakers, we really try to connect with a theme that God has given us, tapping into the prophetic word that Ps. Russell shares.”

“God is greater! He is greater than any circumstance that we may face and our trust in Him will see us overcome any obstacle and see victory over every enemy that may come our way,” declares Pastor Sam Evans. “With this belief in our hearts and that declaration in our mouths, we will experience greater than our highest thoughts and prayers.”

unnamed 10

Sharing more of the behind-the-scenes moments that inspire Planetshakers’ songs, Hunt says that one of his favorite worship tracks on GREATER, “Move In Power,” came during an inspired moment at a weekly staff prayer meeting: “What I love about our church is that we are always open to letting the Holy Spirit move and lead us. For this particular meeting, I was on the keyboards as we were praying, and then something just happened to me. I felt like heaven was opened up, and I started singing a prophetic song. Sometimes I would sing a song, and we would go back and tweak it. This song came exactly as it is on the album. It was such an anointed moment.”

Sharing a joyful celebration that infuses every part of the Planetshakers experience, the album also features “Beauty For Ashes,” “No. 1 Sound,” “Victory Of Jesus” (co-written with BJ Pridham), “Emmanuel” (co-written with Noah Walker) and the Harrison-penned “Psalm 23.”

“When you read the Psalms about praising God, it’s very descriptive,” notes Harrison. “Clap your hands all you people, shout to God with the voice of triumph, rejoice before him, dance before the Lord with all your might – scripture paints a picture of what praise should be like…a great celebration.”

Encouraging the church to not lose this celebration of praise, Planetshakers’ Joshua Brown adds, “When we offer praise, it opens up the atmosphere. Hearts are drawn to Jesus; there’s a hunger for his presence and we can receive from God.”
