[Download] I’ve Witnessed It – Passion

Sixstepsrecords/Capitol CMG’s Passion has released their newest song, “I’ve Witnessed It,” which debuted at Passion Conference last month.

For more than two decades, Passion has continued to unite students in worship, prayer and justice, gathering a generation ignited for the fame and renown of Jesus.

Led by Passion’s Melodie Malone, the song connected immediately with more than 30,000 students in attendance across two events over the New Year holiday. Click here to listen to the truth in this anthem “I’ve Witnessed It.”

“We don’t often use the word ‘witness’ in our everyday vernacular, and it is my hope that we reinstate a bit of the meaning it carries in this song,” shares Passion’s Melodie Malone. “Eugene Peterson says ‘a witness is never the center but only the person who points to or names what is going on at the center…’ If that is true then not only are we all witnesses but it’s why we were created — to give praise and honor and glory to the only one worthy of all of it, Jesus Christ.”

This year’s conference was held in two locations. The first gathering in Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX at Dickies Arena, followed by Passion’s home base in Atlanta, GA at State Farm Arena. In addition to today’s release of “I’ve Witnessed It,” the live performance video from Atlanta has premiered on YouTube. Click below to watch this powerful performance captured.

Malone continues, “We sing to remind our souls of the character of the one we worship and to help resuscitate a faith in desperate need of hope.”

I’ve Witnessed It – Passion

Ushering in the writing, recording and leading of some of the most recognizable and unforgettable worship anthems of this generation, Passion has two RIAA Gold Certified Singles (“Even So Come” and “One Thing Remains”) and more than 3.2 billion global streams. Following the release of this new song, Passion will have a new live album that was recorded during both events releasing March 2023.

[Album] Passion Offers First Christmas Album ‘Hope Has A Name’.

Today, sixstepsrecords/Capitol CMG’s Passion presents their first ever Christmas album, Hope Has a Name, on all digital platforms. This special holiday offering was recorded in studio at Passion City Church in Atlanta. Hope Has a Name features Passion worship leaders Kristian Stanfill, Brett Younker and Melodie Malone along with friends Crowder and Chidima.

“We have wanted to create a Christmas album for many years, but just haven’t been able to find the time as normally we are in full planning mode for Passion Conference,” shares Passion’s Kristian Stanfill. “With so many things being canceled and changed this year with the onset of COVID-19, one of the few blessings has been time. We had more time to dream, write and create what it would look like to make a Christmas record. The heart of this whole project is an invitation to come and find everything you need in Jesus. Come if you’re broken / Come if you’re searching / If you need healing / He’s where you find it (lyrics from ‘Hope Has a Name’).”

“Although it is a daunting task to make new Christmas music, we wanted to write songs that help tell the Gospel story of God with us – stepping into our lives to rescue us – songs that explode in worship in wonder and awe,” continues Passion’s Brett Younker.

With this year bringing so many uncertainties across the globe, Passion felt this was the perfect time to create a special project to help listeners express their love and devotion to God during the holiday season. Passion teamed up with others in the worship community for co-writing and production including Jacob Sooter, Matt Maher, Jeff Pardo, Sean Curran, Stefan Cashwell, Kirby Kaple of Housefires and Aodhan King and Ben Fielding of Hillsong Worship. Hope Has a Name features five original songs and two classics including the reimagined “O Come All Ye Faithful (His Name Shall Be)” with a new bridge

Behold The Lamb – Passion ft Kristian Stanfill

Adept music subset Passion of the magnanimous Passion City Church releases her Kristian Stanfill lead single Behold the lamb.

From its start in 1995, Passion has been rooted in the confession of Isaiah 26:8 – “, walking in the way of Your truth we wait eagerly for You, for Your name and Your renown are the desire of our hearts” – existing to glorify God by uniting students in worship, prayer and justice for spiritual awakening in this generation. Passion has encountered millions of students and 18-25 year olds whose lives have been transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. One of the most impactful aspects of the movement has been voices uniting together to lift up the name of Jesus, currently led by Kristian Stanfill, Brett Younker and Melodie Malone. With a multitude of hits such as “How Great Is Our God,” “God Of This City,” “One Thing Remains,” “Even So Come” and “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord),” listeners continue to be impacted by Passion. Through it all, Jesus continues to remain at the center

Behold The Lamb, is basically a delineation of all that transpired at Calvary – The story of redemption, written on his hands, his unending reign and absolute victory.

LYRICS

See Him there, the great I Am
A crown of thorns upon His head
The Father’s heart displayed for us
Oh God, we thank You for the cross

Lifted up on Calvary’s hill
We cursed Your name, and even still
You bore our shame, and paid the cost
Oh God, we thank You for the cross

Behold the Lamb
The story of redemption written on His hands
Jesus, You will reign forevermore
The victory is Yours
We sing Your praise
Endless hallelujah to Your holy name
Jesus, You will reign forevermore
The victory is Yours

All for us, this sacrifice
For every sin our Saviour died
The Lord of Life can’t be contained
Our God has risen from the grave
Oh, our God has risen from the grave

Behold the Lamb
The story of redemption, written on His hands
Jesus, You will reign forevermore
The victory is Yours
We sing Your praise
Endless hallelujah to Your holy name
Jesus, You will reign forevermore
The victory is Yours

When the age of death is done
We’ll see Your face, bright as the sun
We’ll bow before the King of kings
Oh God, forever we will sing

Behold the Lamb
The story of redemption, written on His hands
Jesus, You will reign forevermore
The victory is Yours

Behold the Lamb
The story of redemption, written on His hands
Jesus, You will reign forevermore
The victory is Yours
We sing Your praise
Endless hallelujah to Your holy name
Jesus, You will reign forevermore
The victory is Yours

You reign forevermore
The victory is Yours
King Jesus reigns forevermore
The victory is Yours
