Showcasing the breathtaking vocals and versatility from Raine and Moore, “Paul And Silas (At Midnight)” is a reminder that joy can be found even in the darkest moments of life. The track blends convicting, traditional gospel sounds with contemporary and world music, and it’s an extension of the transcending style the two are known for as part of Maverick City Music.

Kirk Franklin says the vocalists are “the next generation of gospel music,” and it’s easy to see (and hear) they are the face of the next wave of inspiration. One Name – Naomi Raine

Stream & Enjoy

“‘One Name’ is about Jesus and my total reliance on him,” says Naomi. “Over the past few years, people have listened to my music, experienced my ministry, and have begun to know my voice and my name. I just wanted to release a song about The Name that’s higher than every other name in a world where there’s so much emphasis on the names of celebrities and brands.

I want to bring a message of hope, but not hope in me or my gifts, but in the God who gives them both freely and I pray that people find hope when they listen to the song.”

More than a collection of songs, ‘Cover The Earth’ is a full-blown worship experience full of upbeat and praise-worthy songs that blend pop, R&B and more, while delivering encouraging and uplifting messages across ten songs and four “flow” song transitions. The album was recorded in the heart of New York City and produced by Naomi with Adale Jackson.

Naomi will celebrate the release of “One Name (Jesus)” with two events, one in Jamaica on March 18th and one in South Africa on April 1st with more to be announced.

On ‘Cover The Earth,’ Naomi addresses how faith can free us from mental prisons (“Paul & Silas (At Midnight) [with Chandler Moore]”), fear (“Uncovering”), greed (“Costly”) and more, while also revealing the character behind her source of inspiration for the music.

Naomi also sings of the courage it takes to be a light in dark places on songs like “We Agree (Flow),” in which she boldly roots herself in her faith despite modern culture, proclaiming “we don’t care what the left or the right is saying ‘cause we agree with Heaven.”

“‘Cover the Earth’ is a project about the goodness of God, his kindness and faithfulness,” adds Naomi. “It is a call to action for those that love God to seek Him and spread the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ everywhere we go.”

Naomi’s debut live record follows her vulnerable album ‘Journey’ and its follow up ‘Journey: Acoustic Sessions,’ which were released in 2022.

In the past year, Naomi has performed on the BET Awards, GRAMMY Awards and more. The GRAMMY, NAACP, Stellar, BET, Billboard and Dove Award-winning artist is one of the top songwriters in the gospel genre, and starting this April, she’ll co-headlining the first-ever all-female worship tour, It’s Time Tour, alongside Tasha Cobbs Leonard, TAYA, Natalie Grant, Tamela Mann and others.

[Album] Journey – Naomi Raine

In the past year, Naomi Raine has taken a leading role in the GRAMMY Award-winning collective Maverick City Music. Today (7.8), she releases her solo album ‘Journey’ via TRIBL Records. Across 15 songs produced by Raine with G. Morris Coleman, and seven intimate “car chat” recordings, the album dives into Raine’s life journey through the ebbs and flows of marriage, motherhood, mental health and more. Through her most vulnerable and personal songwriting yet, Raine embraces life’s discomfort and finds acceptance in every stage of her journey.

Listen to ‘Journey,’ here: orcd.co/nrjourney

“’Journey’ is finally here,” says Raine. “I’ve been working on this project for some time and it really is an expression of my heart — the processing, the discovery, the growth, creativity and collaboration through song. This is such a vulnerable project for me, and I’m grateful to share it with the world. My hope is that anybody who hears these songs will get the courage to love, live and be free from the fear that holds us back from living apologetically and inauthentically.”

journey

Raine, a GRAMMY, Billboard Music, Dove and Stellar Award-winning artist, has always felt a calling to music, performing since the age of two. Throughout her life, it has served as a coping mechanism. ‘Journey’ explores trauma from her past, while offering optimism and hope for moving past it. She began writing these songs in the aftermath of a miscarriage and in the midst of attending marriage therapy after her 2020 tour was canceled due to COVID. Nearly all 22 tracks are self penned, with a few written alongside Adale Jackson, co-producer G Morris Coleman, Gary Coach, Kayla Thompson, Taylor Drevan Hill and Tywan Mack.

“Hold On” is an anthem of strength to fight for yourself and each other during the hardest moments in life, while “Good Story” equally honors the beautiful and broken parts of a relationship. “World On Fire” reflects on a seemingly endless stream of tragic headlines that have covered the news these past few years, while “Won One” is an positive, upbeat anthem about keeping your head up. She confronts the consequences of bottling up feelings on “Still Alone,” and then finds freedom to put herself first on “Choosing Myself.” Raine closes the album with “Merrily,” a song that finds joy in the craziness of life and “Brand New,” which confirms the security she has as a result of her faith.

The album is sprinkled with “car chats” that she recorded while driving. In these intimate recordings, she talks about surrendering self-dependence, the heart’s uncertainties, staying strong through tribulations, hard goodbyes, self-discovery in the midst of pandemic-induced isolation, sacrifices and more.

Raine recently performed at the 2022 Essence Festival in New Orleans and has made appearances at the BET Awards, The TODAY Show and The View with Maverick City Music who she is currently on tour with. For more information, visit naomirainemusic.com.
