Koryn Hawthorne – Speak to Me (Queen Mix) Ft. Queen Naija

To kick off Women’s History Month, chart-topping GRAMMY®- nominated songstress, Koryn Hawthorne, released a girl power rendition of her chart dominating single “Speak to Me” featuring R&B artist Queen Naija.

Premiering exclusively on Rated R&B, “Speak to Me (Queen Mix)” features powerhouse vocals from both Hawthorne and Queen Naija and is a perfect match up of both Gospel and R&B sound. “Speak to Me (Queen Mix)” serves a refreshing delivery of Black Girl Magic and unity among genres. The new track is now available on all digital music providers.

“I was honored to be asked to get on the remix of a gospel song being that my foundation started in the church, but I was also excited about getting on a song that I was a fan of already. I think it’s very important for women to support each other in general, whether it be in music or any other industry,” shares Queen Naija.

With boundless vocal artistry, the Billboard Music and NAACP Image Award-winning hitmaker continues to deliver fan favorite tracks featuring melodic mixes of gospel, pop, hip-hop and R&B. Coined as a contemporary urban single “Speak to Me,” Hawthorne’s lead single from her sophomore album, I Am, instantly dominated the charts debuting #1 on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs Chart and continues to hold that position for 15 weeks. Playing on both Gospel and R&B radio in partnership with Epic Records, the nostalgic track hit top 5 on the Gospel Billboard Radio Charts, top 15 on the R&B Radio Charts, and reigned #1 on the Gospel Digital Sales charts for 10 consecutive weeks. “Speak to Me” features a sample from gospel icon, Donnie McClurkin’s popular melodic single “Speak to My Heart,” and was co-written by Johntá Austin (Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige), Troy Taylor and Jeremy “TryBishop” Hicks.

“Some of the greatest movements in history have been when women supported each other. I was so excited to work with Queen Naija on this project and hope this track will inspire other artists of various genres to collaborate and support each other, especially women,” echoes Hawthorne.

Download Album : Koryn Hawthorne – I Am

Billboard Music Award and NAACP Image Award winner and two-time GRAMMY®- nominee Koryn Hawthorne, released her highly anticipated album, I Am. The new album is the second full-length project from the dynamic inspirational artist. In conjunction with the album release, Hawthorne has released a new single, “How Great,” and a video featuring contemporary Christian music artist and songwriter, Matt Maher. “How Great” demonstrates how her journey has come full circle, referencing the hymn “How Great Thou Art,” which she performed on NBC’s The Voice and received her first #1 on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart with five years ago.

Having carved a lane of her own, Hawthorne provides a refreshing blend of gospel, pop, hip-hop and R&B with I Am. She collaborated on the album with some of the music industry’s most talented songwriters and producers including, Maher, Johntá Austin, Makeba Riddick, Troy Taylor, Jeremy “TryBishop” Hicks, Daniel Breland, Jason Ingram, Steffany Gretzinger and Dahryl “DJ” Camper. Comprised of ten tracks, seven of which were co-written by Hawthorne, the new album showcases Hawthorne’s “urban inspirational” signature sound, boundless vocal artistry and creative penmanship. Tracks such as “You” and “Sunday,” and “Know You” capture the essence of who Hawthorne is musically, with the former featuring syncopated beats and horns that are staples in the songstress’ hometown of Louisiana. Songs including the lead single “Speak to Me” and “Joy” demonstrate Hawthorne’s ability to transcend across all genres, with the latter featuring Mary J. Blige’s 1995 hit “You Bring Me Joy”. I Am, is more than a new album. It is Hawthorne’s personal statement and testament.

With a track record of topping charts and breaking records, Hawthorne’s single “Speak to Me,” is the #2 most added song at Urban AC radio this week. The melodic feel-good single was co-written by Austin, Taylor and Hicks, and is currently playing on both Gospel and Urban AC radio in partnership with Epic Records. “Pray,” I Am’s first single, which was released earlier this summer, hit #1 on Billboard’s Gospel Digital Song Sales Chart within the first week of release. And Hawthorne holds the title of the most weeks at # 1 by a female artist on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs Chart, where her infectious hit “Won’t He Do It,” stayed for 41 weeks.

“The album is entitled I Am because my journey has come full circle. I am who God says I am. I am called to be everything that He has called me to be. I pray that people step into their calling. I pray that this album turns hearts towards God. That when you go deeper and discover Him, you will discover yourself,” expresses Hawthorne.

Koryn Hawthorne And Lecrae Are Unstoppable Super Bowl Gospel ‘19

RCA Inspiration’s artiste and record smashing Diva Koryn Hawthorne paired up with CHH Frontliner Lecrae to give an enthralling performance at the Super Bowl Celebration all thanks to BET.

Guess its not far fetching to say ever since Koryn gained stardom at the The Voice, singing contest. Indeed, as only 21years of age, Unstoppable is the word that comes to mind at the mention of the name Koryn Hawthorne. Who would have thought Hawthorne was going to be the first woman to top four gospel charts simultaneously in five years as well as the longest number 1 female artist holder on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs Chart yet she did anyways.

Gospel music lovers could not help but savor her sublime collab with aced rapper Lecrae at the Super Bowl Gospel’19. They had an epic connection and obviously could not have gotten any better than this.

Unstoppable is basically a song of encouragement and hope to that Guy / Lady that is having it rough, remembering that our hope and our gaze should be on the lord because he never fails.

LYRICS

[Verse 1]
The atmosphere is changing
Nothing stays the same
Heaven is waiting
For the mention of the Name
The Spirit is moving
Burning like a flame
Healing the broken
By the One we proclaim

[Pre-Chorus]
Raise it up
Fill the sky
Chains will fall
Mountains move
We lift Him high

[Chorus 1]
Speak the Name
The Name above all other names
Speak the Name
The Name the wind and waves obey
All of heaven’s coming down
Fill the earth with a sound
Of the Name
The Name of Jesus

[Verse 2]
Gather all who wonder
Hostages of shame
Miracles unfolding
At the mention of the name
Our darkness is fleeing
Mercy raining down
Healing waters flowing
As our lips make the sound

[Pre-Chorus]
Raise it up
Fill the sky
Chains will fall
Mountains move
We lift Him high

[Chorus 1]
Speak the Name
The Name above all other names
Speak the Name
The Name the wind and waves obey
All of heaven’s coming down
Fill the earth with a sound
Of the Name
The Name of Jesus
Speak the Name
The Name of Jesus

[Bridge]
Strongholds are broken
I’ve been made free
I am forgiven
Fear has to leave
Strongholds are broken
I’ve been made free
I am forgiven
Fear has to leave
Your Name is healing
Your Name is power
Your Name is holy
My strong, strong tower
Wonderful Name
Glorious Name
Powerful Name of Jesus
Jesus

[Chorus 2]
Speak the Name
The Name above all other names
Speak the Name
The Name the wind and waves obey
All of heaven’s coming down
Fill the earth with a sound
Of the Name
The Name of Jesus
Of the Name
The Name of Jesus
Speak the Name
The Name of Jesus

LYRICS
Ain’t nobody stoppin’ my shine
They try to break me try to take me out
But I got Jesus on my side
Felt so bad I thought I would die
But ain’t no power stronger than the one
That came and laid down his life
And I got mountains to climb
But the enemy can’t stop me
‘Cause there’s a calling on my life
So, when I’m crying, don’t last too long
‘Cause he’s gon’ step in and make it alright
Won’t He do it?
He said He would
Fight your battles for you
They gon’ wonder how you sleep at night
Won’t He do it?
Ah yes, He will
Anybody tell you something different
You know that’s a lie
You gon’ look back and be so amazed
How it turned out
It’s only His grace
Won’t He do it?
He said He would
So, I trust Him at all times
I’m about to lose it again
I’m about to let them know where I’m from
Don’t take me there again
I just call on Jesus, my friend
Get me back in line one more time
‘Cause he’s always listening
Ain’t nobody perfect, everybody’s hurting
I need your whisper Lord, save me from my weaknesses
‘Cause you’re always on time
Come and get your breakthrough
‘Cause I’m gonna get mine
Won’t He do it?
He said He would
Fight your battles for you
They gon’ wonder how you sleep at night
Won’t He do it?
Ah yes, He will
Anybody tell you something different
You know that’s a lie
You gon’ look back and be so amazed
How it turned out
It’s only His grace
Won’t He do it?
He said He would
So, I trust Him at all times
See what the enemy had planned for my downfall
Turned out to be the greatest victory of my life
‘Cause when it comes at you fast and hard
There’s the only one that can come and make it right
So, ain’t no need for stressing and crying
‘Cause he gon’ show up just like He did the last time
And the last time
And the last time
I know, I know, I know, I know
(Won’t he do it?)
Won’t He do it?
He said He would
Fight your battles for you
They gon’ wonder how you sleep at night
Won’t He do it?
Ah yes, He will
Anybody tell you something different
You know that’s a lie
You gon’ look back and be so amazed
How it turned out
It’s only His grace
Won’t He do it?
He said He would
So, I trust Him at all times
Won’t he do it? He said he would (All times, all times)
So, I trust Him at all times (All times, all times)
All times, all times
So, I trust Him at all times (All times, all times)
All times, all times
So, I trust Him at all times
All times, all times
So, I trust Him at all times
