Brooke Ligertwood Releases “A Thousand Hallelujahs” Multi-Track

GRAMMY-award-winning songwriter, producer, and worship leader Brooke Ligertwood releases a multi-track EP for her song, “A Thousand Hallelujahs.” The release features multiple versions of the powerful anthem including a new radio version (which is impacting radio today), a live performance, a Passion 2022 live recording, and an acoustic rendition of “A Thousand Hallelujahs.” Click here to listen to these special recordings of the song.

Brooke Ligertwood shares, “As Darrell Johnson says, ‘when we come to worship on a Sunday, we join a worship service that has been happening long before we were around and will continue long after our earthly time ceases.’ This song finds context in not only the generation’s worship of Christ’s Church on the earth but the eternal reality of worship in heaven. When we worship, we join both.”

Ligertwood’s critically acclaimed 2022 album, SEVEN (Live), has garnered more than 120 million global streams since its release. The lead single, “A Thousand Hallelujahs,” from that album has amassed more than 30 million global streams and made four international Top 50 viral charts.

As a prolific songwriter, Ligertwood’s songs have more than 1.5 billion global streams and have been translated into over 15 languages. Her songs have topped the CCLI chart with two No. 1 songs and several Top 25 worship songs that have been sung around the world like “What A Beautiful Name,” “Who You Say I am,” “King of Kings,” “Hosanna” and more. With her songwriting she has been honored with a GRAMMY Award, one RIAA Platinum certified single, and two RIAA Gold certified singles.

Next month, she will also be embarking on the SEVEN Tour including a performance at the historical Ryman Auditorium on March 19th. Click here for the complete tour schedule.

Download Mp3: Nineveh – Brooke Ligertwood

GRAMMY® Award-winning songwriter, producer and critically-acclaimed artist Brooke Ligertwood drops the second single “Nineveh” from her forthcoming live solo album “SEVEN” which is now available for preorder. Out today on all digital platforms with an accompanying live performance video, “Nineveh” is written by Ligertwood along with Pastor Steven Furtick and is a narrative journey through the Biblical book of Jonah that concludes with a personal, individual challenge. The piano-driven anthem soars into “God have mercy” refrains that were written into the song from its genesis specifically for a choir to sing – a vision that comes to life through a powerful live ensemble of voices in both the audio and video recordings.

“When Pastor Steven Furtick messaged me in the spring of 2021 and said he and I should write a song called ‘Nineveh,’ the ‘world’ of this song immediately sprung to life in my spirit and we began and completed this work a relatively short time later,” says Ligertwood.

Ligertwood adds, “It is a rare and deep joy to be able to write a song that closely examines a narrative of scripture while simultaneously inviting the listener to allow the scripture to examine them. ‘Nineveh’ is one such rarity and I feel honoured to have co-written it with a songwriter and thinker I immensely respect – it was a joy from beginning to end.”

[Music] A Thousand Hallelujahs (Live) – Brooke Ligertwood

GRAMMY® Award-winning songwriter, producer and critically-acclaimed artist Brooke Ligertwood releases her first single, “A Thousand Hallelujahs” through a new partnership with Capitol CMG.  Available today along with an accompanying live performance video, which can be viewed below, the premiere track gives fans a glimpse of what’s to come from Ligertwood’s forthcoming solo album, “SEVEN”.

After six mainstream albums with Sony Music under maiden name “Brooke Fraser” and in parallel, 17 years with Hillsong Worship, which she still currently leads globally, Ligertwood is combining her two decades of experience as an artist/producer and her passion for serving the church with her new solo offering under Capitol CMG (yes, in a happy twist this means her seventh solo album is indeed called SEVEN).

A Thousand Hallelujahs is simply and unashamedly a song of worship for the Church,” said Ligertwood. “With lyrics that celebrate the origin and direction of glory, the song itself also becomes the vehicle for how to return that glory where it belongs – to Christ.  It is intrinsically, deliberately, and singularly vertical, and tantalizingly joyful. I pray it becomes of use and timely help to believers and congregations everywhere.”

About the new partnership, Hudson Plachy (CCMG, Co-President) said, “Brooke is one of the most prolific artists and songwriters in the genre and her already storied career has received the industry’s highest accolades. We are honored to partner with her in this next season on this incredible album, SEVEN, and could not be more excited to see this music impact the world.” Brad O’Donnell (CCMG, Co-President) added, “Brooke is a one-of-a-kind songwriter and artist who we admire deeply and have been fortunate to work with for years now. We are thrilled to be partnering with her on SEVEN which we believe is a very special project and a gift to the global church.”

Recorded live in Nashville, TN, “SEVEN” consists of entirely brand new worship songs written by Ligertwood and husband/longtime collaborator Scott, Jason Ingram (who co-produced the album with her), Pastor Steven Furtick, Brandon Lake, Phil Wickham and friends. It features a band composed of gifted musicians from the breadth of the modern worship movement (Hillsong, Bethel, Vineyard), a 30-piece choir, and a collection of stunning new prayer-soaked songs written and arranged in line with Ligertwood’s singular vision with Jesus at the center. SEVEN is set for release on February 25th.

“A Thousand Hallelujahs” was written by Brooke Ligertwood, Scott Ligertwood and Phil Wickham.
