Barely three weeks after the release of her latest album House On The Hill, Amanda Cook offers fresh new single (Audio + Video) “Still” on the wake Easter Weekend.
“We could all use a little more stillness. It gets noisy and crowded in our minds and lives and 9-5’s. This song came to us in a moment of needing stillness to be a true possibility. That return to center. The gravitational pull of Peace.”—Amanda Lindsey Cook
– Amanda Lindsey Cook
“Still” is Amanda Lindsey Cook’s new single giving language to the verse, “Be still and know I am God,” a Psalm written by King David during a chaotic time when trusting God was a choice he had to make. When faced with fear, Amanda learned to surrender and lift her fears to God—rather than trying to extinguish them herself—and watch them fall into perfect peace.
“Still” brings us back to the peace of God that is always present and accessible in every situation, no matter how hopeless we may feel.
Canadian Award winning Songstress and worship leader, Amanda Cook releases first single Awakening off her forthcoming album House on a Hill.
Before the new year, Bethel Music’s Amanda Lindsey Cook reemerged to fans on social media after a long hiatus, posting a handwritten note which explained the singer’s absence, hinting at new music in the works. Today Cook reveals the letter’s allusive meaning with the announce of her upcoming House On A Hill, set to release Mar. 29.
Amanda describes her project as a journey of coming “through the trees, into an open field, where I could lie down and catch my breath.”
Coincing with the announcement of the album, Cook has released a brand-new music video for the breathy yet emboldening track, “Awakening,” mirroring the singer’s own personal journey throughout the making of the project.
Having shelved four amazing solo projects and numerous appearances with bethel music, we can’t actually blame fans and Music enthusiasts for the heightened expectation.
