Congratulations to Maverick City Music, who took home Top Gospel Album at the Billboard Music Award for their April 2020 release of Maverick City Vol. 3 Part 1. The Billboard No.1 worship group earned double-nods in their winning category and was also a contender for Top Gospel Artist.

Since its debut on Friday (4.30), Old Church Basement, a collaboration between Maverick City Music and Elevation Worship has quickly made an impact on the charts. The track was written by Dante Bowe, Chandler Moore, Omari Walthour , Jonathan Jay, Tony Brown, Nate Moore and Brandon Lake during a Maverick City Music Spanish camp. “Hermoso Dios” is off of Como en el Cielo, which dropped last week (Mar 19)

. The album is Maverick City Music’s first Spanish album.

Maverick City Music releases official video for “Gracias” featuring Aaron Moses, Blanca, and Edward Rivera, alongside an official video.

The track was written by Moses, Johnny Peña, Kelia Marin and Lemuel Marin. “Gracias” is the second single off of Como en el Cielo, which is also released today. The album is Maverick City Music’s first Spanish album.

Maverick City Music releases the official music video for “Acercame” featuring Johnny Peña and Laila Oliver.

“Acercame” was written by Peña, Paz Aguayo, and Luis de Peña during a Maverick City Music Spanish camp.

“Acercame” is the first single off Maverick City Music’s first Spanish album, Como en el Cielo, set to release March 19th. The group shares about the upcoming release, “The vision and heart of Maverick City has always been to create space where it is yet to be created. Music that transcends language and cultural barriers is the by-product of that. Como en el Cielo, is Maverick City Music’s hearts in action.”
