GRAMMY®-nominated Cody Carnes has released the radio version of the title track to his forthcoming live album, Firm Foundation, which will release on August 25th. This song is going for adds today at radio and has also moved up 15 spots to the Top 20 on the most recent CCLI chart.

Although a version of the LP’s title cut has been circulating for more than a year, Carnes says he’s known for quite some time that “Firm Foundation (He Won’t)” was always meant to provide this collection’s namesake.

“This is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever been a part of writing, and I really believe in it,” Cody Carnes shares. “I’ve seen it spark a room while I’m leading like no other song I’ve been a part of.”

Carnes adds about the songs on this upcoming album, “These songs celebrate the God who never ever fails. They were written out of encounters with Jesus and they carry His certain hope in uncertain times. When everything around me is shaken, I’ve never been more glad that I put my faith in Jesus.”

“Firm Foundation (He Won’t)” is the follow-up song to his first-ever No. 1 radio single, “Ain’t Nobody,” which spent four weeks on the top of the Mediabase Christian Audience chart. Carnes was also recently nominated for “Breakout Single of the Year” at this year’s K-LOVE Fan Awards where he performed his hit song with country artist Russell Dickerson, which will have a special encore presentation on TBN tonight and is available on the TBN app. 

Last summer, Carnes held a two-night live worship event at his church home base, The Belonging Co., in Nashville. The special event produced his first-ever live album, God Is Good!, which was released last year as well as the upcoming Firm Foundation. Carnes spoke with K-LOVE On Demand about this special recording and writing process that resulted in two very unique projects on the show, “Empty Stage with Andrew Greer.”

“’Call On The Name’ is a salvation song,” explains Cody Carnes. “It leads people through the call and the confession that scripture talks about. Romans 10 says, If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.. everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Premier Productions and Cody Carnes announce the God is Good! Tour with special guest Benjamin William Hastings.  The tour will span eight cities and will see Carnes on his first solo headlining tour.

“Wow, this is my first headlining tour,” said Carnes. “I’m so expectant for these nights. We’re months away and I’m already dreaming up ways to make this night special. I love that I get to do my own night because that means I have all the time I need to sing all the songs I’ve been a part of writing over the last few years.”

The God is Good! Tour will also see Benjamin William Hastings in a supporting role. Hastings joins the tour fresh off the Chris Tomlin x UNITED Tour, with his self-titled debut album releasing on November 4. “I believe moment after moment will be special, especially with my friend Benjamin William Hastings bringing his incredible songs to the night as well. After two original singles announcing a new album, Outbreakband collaborate with Urban Life Worship on third release ‘Ich laufe zum Vater’, the German version of Cody Carnes’ song ‘Run To The Father’. The two German bands initially played the song during a live worship night and were so touched that they desired to bring it to life as a release.

Talking about the upcoming album, on which the new single will feature, Outbreakband worship leader Juri Friesen says, “We wanted to go back to our roots in terms of the philosophy behind this album, namely, to include translations and it was clear that this song had to be it!’ ‘Ich laufe zum Vater’ resonates with truth about God, our Father, and paints multiple pictures of His love.

Becoming a father 18 years ago, Juri shares how this experience overwhelmed him to the point of changing his whole life, “I understood for the first time what the Father must feel for me – for all his children.”

Outbreakband’s vision is to reawaken a passion for the Lord and for worship in the youth of Germany and bordering German speaking countries. Their new album is set to release on September 30th.
