The Blessing (Live Album) is her first new album after three years with the release of The Blessing (Live Album) on October 23rd (Capitol CMG).
In anticipation of the new album, three singles are available this week: “First Love,” “Embers” and “Obsession (ft. Cody Carnes),” along with the pre-order for the album. Despite her deep desire to lead worship with a live audience for this project, the album was uniquely recorded and captured live this summer during the pandemic without an audience at her home church, The Belonging Co, in Nashville, TN.
Phenom gospel music headliners Tauren Wells & Kirk Franklin joins forces in sublime single Millionaire (Good Like That).
Collaborating for the first time in recording, the two multi-platinum hit makers had paired up for the thumping song, recording it in Franklin’s Dallas studio. Six-time GRAMMY® nominee Tauren Wells and sixteen-time GRAMMY® winner Kirk Franklin came back together again, this time meeting in Nashville for the filming of the video, which was directed by Patrick Tohill. On “Millionaire (Good Like That),”Wells delivers a sizzling track with Franklin, praising God’s faithfulness in making a way to come through doubts or difficulties. Showcasing the boundless creativity and inventive sounds they’re known for, the song was recorded for Tauren Wells’ hit album Citizen of Heaven, released earlier this year.
Tauren Wells says, “I met Kirk Franklin in 2012 in LA, at the GRAMMY Awards!! “Be Praised” was written by Moses, Dante Bowe, and Joel Barnes during a Maverick City Music camp. The track will be released as part of Maverick City Music Vol 3 Part 2, which will be available on October 9, 2020.
