A remix version of the top radio single, “Chasing Me Down” from sister duo Alicia & Whitney is being released today. The new single, featuring Christian Hip-Hop Artist Rezurrection, goes for adds to Christian AC, Christian Hot AC/CHR, and Christian Rhythmic-formatted radio outlets.
“Chasing Me Down – Remix (featuring Rezurrection)” was written by Alicia McDermott-Yanik, Whitney McDermott and George Hill Jones (aka Rezurrection). Sean Hill, who produced the original version, also was at the helm for the remix. The non-remix single, “Chasing Me Down,” has enjoyed radio success, topping the charts at No. 1 for its CRC Weekly debut, claiming the No. 1 spot on the CRC Monthly Chart and sitting at No. 2 on the CRC Quarterly chart.
In 2018, Alicia & Whitney released “A Portrait of Worship”, the duo’s sophomore album. The CD yielded, “New Thing,” the duo’s first single, which debuted at No. 1 on CRC Weekly and hit No. 4 on the CRC Monthly chart. Earlier this year, a new single, “All For Nothing,” also debuted at No. 1 on CRC Weekly, and held the No. 2 spot on CRC Monthly and the No. 3 spot on CRC Quarterly.
The sisters, who grew up in a musical family, have been singing since they were young. The death of their father when the sisters were young adults rekindled a passion for songwriting as they worked through their grief by writing songs. It was during this time that the young women felt God urging them to go back to the core of who He created them to be and to help others come to know Him and the purpose He has for each person. Their debut album, “Core,” is a collection of songs meant to help others reflect and heal from the inside out through the love of Jesus.

I thought it was over until the upper week precisely on a Tuesday; i was spending time with the holy spirit and worshiping then this song about the cross started coming out of my mouth, immediately i knew a new song has been released to me”.

Phil Stacey, season 6 finalist on American Idol and lauded singer/songwriter and worship leader, has released an inspirational new worship anthem, “Let It Be Me,” focusing on personal worship.
The song was written after a very personal experience Stacey had. Phil states: “I was at the Gateway Church Worship Conference in the fall of 2019. It’s easy for me to get caught up in observing rather than participating when I’m not the one leading worship, I’m analyzing everything. I remember looking around the room and seeing people with their hands stretched high, others with tears streaming down their cheeks, and still others on their knees with their faces to the ground. Suddenly it hit me. God is in this room. He’s touching hearts. Changing lives. And I’m ignoring him.”
The moment convicted the preacher’s kid. Continuing, Phil says “Why did I think I should be the exception to our corporate worship? Why was I willing to miss out on an opportunity to bring him glory? I lifted my hands and began to sing and immediately God’s presence surrounded me in such a powerful way.”
