Scottish folk band Celtic Worship release their first single, “Come Thou Fount,” today with Integrity Music. The song will be featured on the group’s anticipated new album, titled Morningtide, set to release this fall.

With a unique approach to worship, Celtic Worship offers songs celebrating the multifaceted beauty of the Kingdom of God while blending traditional and contemporary Christian music with their native sonorities.

This traditional hymn, originally written in 1758 by Robert Robinson, reminds us that God is the One who takes initiative; He sought us when we were still strangers, rescued us, and takes us to arrive at home. The members of Celtic Worship put their unique arrangement together instinctively, making use of vocalists Steph Macleod and Naomi Stirrat whose performance is perfectly complemented by the distinct instrumental melody arranged by Mhairi Marwick on fiddle and Scott Wood on bagpipes and whistle. Capitol CMG announces the debut single from award-winning songwriter and artist Alexander Pappas. “K.O.” will be featured on his five-song solo EP, IDAHO, which releases October 8 and goes for pre-order today.

“’K.O.’ is a call to action and a key to contentedness,” Pappas explains. “Despite our present circumstances, we’re all equipped to move forward, but allowing yourself the understanding resolution doesn’t always happen overnight. The difference is setting your sights on the destination and knowing it begins with taking the first step. Today that might be telling yourself you’re gonna be ok.”

Pappas, a two-time GRAMMY nominee, is best known as the co-frontman for Hillsong Young & Free. Born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and now based in Sydney, Australia for ten years, Pappas is a prolific songwriter whose anthems – such as Young & Free’s “Alive,” “Wake,” and “Real Love,” along with “Echo” by Elevation Worship – have amassed more than 220 million global streams collectively. Poised for the release of his debut solo project, Pappas’ approach is edgy, energetic, and nostalgic fused with inspirational, pop, and alt-rock beats. Making music that is warm and upbeat or oftentimes like a rainy day pouring his heart out, he explains, “There are songs of worship and songs of heartbreak; these are the songs in the middle, of the now and not yet.”

Singer, songwriter, author and podcaster Mike Donehey is stepping into the solo spotlight after two decades as a founding member and front man for the iconic CCM band Tenth Avenue North, which announced a surprise farewell in 2020.

Donehey, with the backing of an incredible amount of support from listeners, made his solo debut earlier this year with two independently-released EPs, Work of Art and A Father And Two Sons, and a full-length major-label album is set to follow.  Today (August 6), Donehey dropped a new track titled “Unity Hymn” from his upcoming Flourish album, available for pre-order and due out August 27.

“I called the album Flourish after a song I wrote early on in the pandemic last year,” Donehey shared about the inspiration behind his new album title. “I wanted to raise my fist and raise my voice in sharp defiance of my circumstances.
