[Music] Ease My Burdens – In The Wild

In The Wild’s debut single, Ease My Burdens, is now available on digital platforms.

Written, performed, and produced by Jeff Owen, former guitarist for Tenth Avenue North, the song was penned as a simple prayer during a season of transition.

“After Tenth Avenue North came to a close and my family moved to Florida after leaving Nashville, I started pouring out ideas and songs from a very natural and personal place. It was a sobering feeling to be outside of the only life I’ve ever known and be in a completely different environment. So during that time, I would play my guitar outside and just stare up at the sky, dreaming, thinking, and praying. It was there that this song and a few others flowed out of me,” Owen shares.

From the beginning, listeners are drawn in by a soothing rhythmic track, a warm comforting vocal, and space for reflective moments. Simple, yet expressive lyrics point to a Creator who cares for His greatest creation — people.

“I intentionally crafted this song in a way that would sort of operate in the background of people’s lives. Ease My Burdens might be your companion by a campfire, while you’re doing the dishes or studying. My hope is that the song would help facilitate the prayer life of others,” says Owen. “It’s amazing how much lighter I feel after much prayer and crying out to God. And it’s not about the feeling — it’s about the realization that God is our provider, not us.”

Authenticity seeps through Ease My Burdens and is sure to help stir honest times of reflection and dialogue in the hearts of listeners.

“I think the industry lacks in raw and organic artistry and I hope this song resonates with believers who are hungry for it,” says Owen. “Sometimes worship doesn’t look larger than life. Sometimes it looks vulnerable and bare. I want Ease My Burdens to connect with people who are hungry for worship music that fits in between their moments of life.”

[Music] Anything To Bless Your Heart – Crossroads Music

Crossroads Music seeks the heart of God in their new single, Anything To Bless Your Heart.

Produced by Dwayne Larring and written by Austin Livingood, Chris Smith, Erica Bostick and Robbie Reider, Anything To Bless Your Heart was penned with a posture of surrender to bless the heart of God.

“The song was written with this intent of being available for God’s intentions from the moment we wake up until we close our eyes again,” Livingood shares. “We want to chase after the things God thinks are worth pursuing. We want to be actively available at all times, through all things.”

Based on scriptures like Psalms 103, where David speaks to his soul to Bless the Lord, Anything to Bless Your Heart is an offering of surrender to the plans and purpose of God.

“Psalm 103 says, ‘Bless the Lord, O my soul’. That’s a way of saying I want everything in me, every part of me to bless the Lord. It’s not saying I get it right every day or hit that nail every day. It’s saying I want everything I am to be a blessing to the Lord,” says Justin Mosteller. “One morning, I wrote down everything in front of me that day — every place I needed to be at every time. Then, at the very bottom of the page, I wrote, ‘What are you doing today, God? How can I bless Your heart?’ It reframed my entire day. I’m not a slave to, ‘What am I doing today? And how can I get through it?’ I can live freely for something greater to simply bless the Lord with all of me.”

And for Crossroads Music, that offering is more than a song, it’s a lifestyle that reflects the heart of their church community.

“At our church, there’s a saying that our senior pastor, Brian Tome has shared with us — it’s a saying he says right away upon waking: ‘God, whatever you have going on today I wanna be a part of it’,” Livingood shares. “To start your day off with such a simple and humble statement impacts the posture of the rest of your day because you’ve made an active decision to hand over the reins of your life.”

“I chose ‘Go Tell It On The Mountain’ because it is a celebration of the Savior’s birth, the whole reason why we celebrate Christmas,” explains Reeves, who arranged the track with producers Ben Schofield and Mark Campbell. “I had so much fun recording this song. We decided to add some jazzy, classic elements to it, as well as another chorus section to really make it come alive even more. I hope that this song reminds you of the joy of Christmas and what a gift it was to have our Savior, our King Jesus, come to this Earth. It is worth shouting about.”

Earlier this summer, Reeves dropped poignant original track, “Years,” which she penned at the height of the global pandemic as a positive ode to an unprecedented year. “‘The First Noël’ is a song, like I’m sure for a lot of you, that I’ve heard, sung and loved since I was a kid,” shares Cleveland, who uses Stars Go Dim as his stage moniker. “This Christmas, we wanted to take a song that reminds us of those simple and classic Christmases of our past and reconnect with the story of Christmas in that way. We added a beautiful and worshipful chorus that feels like it’s been part of the song forever. My prayer for you as you listen to this song is that it can bring us together, connecting us to the simple and peaceful tradition of the season, but that you will also be able to worship and sing along as we declare the truth about Jesus coming to Earth.”

“The First Noël” serves as the title-cut of Star Go Dim’s upcoming Christmas EP. The six-track collection, filled with both originals and standards, arrives Nov. 5.

The modern twist on the beloved Christmas selection comes on the heels of Stars Go Dim’s brand new radio single, “Yes He Does,” the artist’s first taste of new music since 2019’s Better.
