Pratt says, ‘It reminds me of where I came from…The farms, the dirt biking, the mudding, and catching crawfish in the creek at my great Grandpap’s farm. We also had a few chickens, horses and cows in a barn my Dad built, by our house. Believe me, there’s no way of getting around the dirt and mud when you raise animals like that.”
He continues, “I have a Soft-top Jeep Wrangler that I keep, for the most part, pretty shined up and cleaned. One day I was driving it, top down, on my way to Tonic Studio’s to record, when a guy pulled up next to me at a red light and yelled, ‘You better feed that thing a little mud.’
It made me laugh. It validated that I had to record this song. I thought if he only knew I was on my way to record a song about that very thing. If you listen to the very last line in the song, I used his inspiration: ‘You ain’t country til’ you feed ’em a little mud.’ Coming from the sticks and experiencing the true Country Life is a blessing.”

Davis, an evangelist, worship leader, songwriter, and musician, grew up in the small town of McComb, Mississippi. He was musically inclined as a child. In high school, he began writing songs with the goal of starting a heavy metal band. After graduating from high school, Davis, like many, was caught up in the cares, losses, and responsibilities of life.
However, God had other things in mind when He placed a musician friend, a church family, and a praying grandmother in his life that would lead to his salvation to Christ in August of 1990.
“It was kinda funny,” Davis recalls. “I was trying to recruit this guitarist friend of mine to join my band and he led me to the Lord instead.”
Davis set out to make a difference for the Kingdom of God, first by serving his local church in a variety of ways, including music ministry, signing in two gospel groups, and songwriting. Three years later, Davis accepted God’s call to be more involved in music ministry with ministry engagements and concerts on his schedule.
Today as a minister and music evangelist, Davis says that he is committed to the call for revival and evangelism through the message in preaching and in the song that leads people into the presence of God.

“The songs I write have come from different places in life,” Davis explains. “Some may be for the Church in worship or encouragement or some may be from experiences that have made an indelible mark on my life.
“I’ve even had songs come to me in dreams with me waking up singing them. No matter how they come, they all mean a lot to me and I want to share them with the world. The way I see it, God gave them to me for a reason.”
Davis has shared the stage and worked with numerous Christian artists, including Ginny Owens, Jared Anderson, and Sonic Flood. He’s held multiple ministry events through the years which included concerts, outside crusade events, festivals, youth conferences, and revivals.
Today, Davis serves as a full-time worship pastor.
“It’s exciting,” Davis shares, “to see how God is building something from nothing and that has been the story of my life…how God has taken nothing and made it into something for His Glory.”

“Armor” is accompanied by a newly released music video that was written, directed, and produced by Washington, DC-based filmmaker Kennard Blackwell. Starring martial artist and actress Jackie SJ Kim, the cinematic clip depicts a powerful juxtaposition of heavenly and earthly realities.
“When we approached him about the video, Kennard had been reading C.S. Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia to his daughter, so that series provided much of the inspiration for the ‘Armor’ visual,” Seth Ready shares. “Throughout the video, a young lady receives anonymous notes containing false statements about her which are increasingly pointing her to destruction.
We soon find out that there are dark figures (the Enemy) behind the notes. In contrast, Nirva and I are shown as heavenly messengers encouraging the young lady to put on the armor of God to overcome these dark figures and the lies they are telling her. She eventually does just that and is victorious over the Enemy.”
Now based in Virginia, where Nirva Ready serves as an instructor at Liberty University, the couple also continues to co-host the Freemind Podcast. Since its launch in 2018, the podcast has released more than 100 episodes addressing cultural hot-button issues from a biblical perspective.
