‘STAY PRAYED UP’ The Inspiring Story Of Gospel Music Group The Branchettes Coming To Limited Theaters

Stay Prayed Up, a documentary of harmony, fellowship, and a “church gospel noisy crew” is poised to release in limited theaters June 17, 2022, followed by a home entertainment launch on Apple TV and Google Play in July.

The only thing mightier than Lena Mae Perry’s electrifying voice is her faith.  She’s spent the last 50 years sharing and sharpening both as the steadfast bandleader of The Branchettes, a legendary North Carolina gospel group that has packed churches throughout the South and lifted hearts as far away as Ireland.  Stay Prayed Up is a spirited celebration, inviting audiences into “Mother” Perry’s close-knit community as the 83-year-old strives to extend The Branchettes’ sacred song ministry ever forward.  The film follows The Branchettes as they record their first live album, a hallmark in the canon of Black gospel groups.  Through shared prayer, laughter, and praise, this “church gospel noisy crew” demonstrates that music, like faith, ain’t nothing without some fire inside.

Greenwich Entertainment acquired the North American distribution rights to this feature directorial debut of co-director, Matt Durning, and second feature from co-director, D.L. Anderson (FARMER/VETERAN).  The Vittles Films and Interlocking Pictures documentary premiered to rave reviews at its World Premiere at the Telluride Film Festival and at DOC NYC.

“We believe Stay Prayed Up offers a well-timed, welcomed dose of spiritual and communal uplift,” said Co-Director Anderson. Co-Director Matt Durning added, “We are thrilled to partner with Greenwich to offer this soul stirring experience to a range of theatrical audiences seeking healing and renewal, regardless of their faith practice or background.”

Stay Prayed Up was produced by Mikel Barton, Phil Cook, Lena C. Williams, and Leslie Raymond. Greenwich’s Andy Bohn negotiated the acquisition with Cinetic Media’s Jason Ishikawa on behalf of the filmmakers.

Simple Kingdom (Acoustic Video) – Bryan & Katie Torwalt

Bryan & Katie Torwalt share the official acoustic video for their newest single “Simple Kingdom”. “Simple Kingdom” is available now to download/stream and will be featured on the Torwalt’s upcoming album slated to drop May 20. Pre-order I’ve Got Good News here.

“The way Jesus talked about The Kingdom of God was completely backwards and upside down compared to the culture of the day, and it still is. His Kingdom is as simple as love. He welcomed the children, and stopped for the one. His Kingdom is humble, and always seeks to serve. His Kingdom is backwards, where the last become first, and what’s treasured in heaven, the world calls a curse. His Kingdom is coming, and at the same time He said it was at hand. As it is in Your Kingdom Lord, let it be with Your church!” – Bryan & Katie Torwalt

[Music] Anywhere Jesus Is – Scotty Inman

Music runs through Scotty Inman’s veins. A second-generation vocalist, Scotty’s music career has taken him around the world and allowed him the share the message of Christ on stages that many only dream of.   While his nearly two decade tenure with the fan-favorite Triumphant Quartet has afforded him opportunities and accolades too numerous to count, the four-time BMI awarded singer/songwriter found himself with a considerable catalog of songs personal to him; songs about faith, family and life.  These songs birthed the inspiration behind his debut solo release, Anywhere Jesus Is.

“I have been blessed to have cuts by not only Triumphant, but several other artists within the genre. However, I realized that some of the songs were messages that I needed to share myself,” shares Scotty Inman.  “A solo project is the perfect opportunity to speak my heart and produce music that might not fit the mold of what I do with Triumphant, but I’m excited to branch out and let listeners get a glimpse into another side of who I am!”

Anywhere Jesus Is, produced by Josh Swift (The Isaacs, Doyle Lawson), features 10 songs all co-written by Inman including the first single, ‘Grow Up Slow.’  Listeners will love the upbeat tune of ’Saved People,’ and feel at home with the title track, ‘Anywhere Jesus Is.’  Country music fans will recognize the voice of legend John Anderson, who joins Scotty on ‘Good Enough For Me,’ and love the acoustic vibe of ‘God Made Good,’  Regardless of musical styles or preferences, there is literally something for everyone on this incredible project!

In celebration of the release of Anywhere Jesus Is, Scotty Inman has released his next single to radio, entitled ‘Saved People.’ This fun, engaging song contains a simple but poignant message: Saved people, serve people. Served people get saved. From the pen of Scotty and Jimmy Yeary, this new single will not only have listeners singing along, but serve as a daily reminder to be the hands and feet of Christ.

The liner notes of Anywhere Jesus Is contain a whos whos list of co-writers, including Jimmy Yeary, Tony Wood, Scott Krippayne, Lee Black, Nathan Woodard and others, but each song is uniquely personal to Scotty and intentional about the message he wishes to convey.  Not often does a project come along with no filler songs, nothing to skip past to get to the good part. But Anywhere Jesus Is is just that.

Anywhere Jesus Is is available for purchase on all digital & streaming platforms, as well as scottyinman.com

Renowned Worship Artists & Songwriters Collaborate For ‘Centricity Worship And Friends’ EP

Centricity Worship, a division of Centricity Publishing, releases its debut EP, Centricity Worship And Friends, today (May 13) to digital and streaming outlets everywhere via https://fanlink.to/cwfriends. All of the songs were composed at Centricity Worship writing retreats where many well-known artists and songwriters from various record labels and publishing companies gathered to create music for the Church to sing.

Produced by Patrick Mayberry, the collaborative tracks on Centricity Worship And Friends include the Heath Balltzglier and Seth Condrey-led “No Other King.” Written by Mayberry, Chris Renzema and recent GRAMMY Award-winner Mitch Wong, the song was originally released on the current North Point Worship live album Our God Will See Us Through.

“King Jesus continues to defy our expectations,” says Wong. “We wrote this song about the mystery of who Jesus is; the humility, the kindness, the compassion that we wouldn’t first come to expect from royalty. No other king has loved as deeply, served so humbly, or triumphed as unequivocally as our King. We hope that this song will bring you back into wide-eyed wonder of Jesus.”

“The Centricity Worship And Friends EP is a beautiful collection of worship songs for the Church, filled with biblical truth and singable melodies,” remarks Mayberry, who not only produced the EP, but also co-wrote and is featured on some of the tracks.

Centricity Worship was created as a platform for song discovery with the goal of equipping the global Church with new and powerful worship songs. It’s foundation dates back to a series of songwriter retreats which birthed songs like Lauren Daigle’s “Come Alive (Dry Bones)” and Corey Voss’s “Nothing But The Blood.” These retreats have since become a part of Centricity Worship’s DNA.

“Centricity Publishing has been doing these worship retreats for years, and out of them have come some really powerful songs that have gone on to inspire worshipers around the world,” says Chad Segura,Vice President, Centricity Publishing. “Along with our own team of writers, we always like to invite other talented songwriters from around the industry as well. We love getting to do this with our friends. And in recording some of the favorite tunes from the resulting collaborations, our hope is that people will discover and connect with these songs, incorporating them into both their personal and corporate worship settings.”

[Music Video] Come Home – Tauren Wells

Ten-time GRAMMY nominee Tauren Wells returns with a new single – “Come Home.” Against an ominous, beat-heavy backdrop, Wells takes an unflinching look at the harm done by hypocrisy. In the gritty, soulful call-and-response chorus, he offers an alternative, envisioning home as a place of steadfast, unconditional love. Listen HERE. The track, which was produced by Tedd T, is from Wells’ new album, Joy in the Morning, which is set for June 10 release.

In the official video for “Come Home,” a one-shot, continuous take live performance with full band, Wells roams the rooms of a beautiful yet deserted house. Performing the song with raucous urgency, he rips the coverings off the furnishings and, along with his bandmates, infuses the home with life once more. Directed by Micah Bickham (Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande) and Steven Lester (John Mayer, Needtobreathe), the video was shot in Nashville.

On May 29, Wells will co-host the KLOVE Fan Awards with Matthew West at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. On August 5, he will headline the second night of KLOVE’s multi-artist concert at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Get tickets for Red Rocks HERE.

“Come Home” follows “Empty” – a song that Wells debuted on the “Tamron Hall Show” in April, bringing tears to the eyes of the show’s host. View his performance HERE. Fans who pre-order the digital edition of Joy in the Morning will instantly receive “Come Home,” “Empty” and “Fake It” (feat. Aaron Cole). See below for the full track listing. Download Mp3 : Holy Fire – Fait Favour

Gospel music minister Fait Favour comes with the live video of “Holy Fire,” one of the singles off her last released EP titled “At Your Feet.“

The song “Holy Fire” is a beckon of a child unto his Father. It is an expression of hope. It is a supplication which admits man’s fallibility and God’s supremacy, that when the Spirit comes with the fire, we are quickened. Holy Fire is also a cry of intercession and blessing to humanity.

“Stoke those flames and get on fire for God to win souls. Get on fire for God to get that scholarship, to achieve greatness. Get on fire for God to remain in Holiness… Holy Fire burn me till I do! May your Joy never end as you burn for God… Amen.” – Fait Favour

[Music Video] Name Above All Names – Jonathan Kome

Worship music minister, Jonathan Kome is out with a brand new sound titled “Names Above All Names”.

Speaking on his new song, Kome explains that ‘Name Above All Names’ is more than a song but also a declaration of the one true God who reigns forever.

He is still the Great One of Ages past and still the same God of today. Here is a song  brought to the world as a reminder of the price He paid for us all to rule over the ideologies, patterns and principles of darkness being brought to the world at the time we find ourselves in.

It is clear that the world has tried so hard to prove Him false but we know that nothing can contend with the sovereignty of our God. My prayer is that as we listen and worship with this song, we remember the victory we have in and through Him alone because truly it is in Him we were made more than conquerors.

“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” [Philippians 2:9-11 NKJV]

Jonathan Chidiebere Ugorji, simply known as Jonathan  Kome is a full time worship minister, singer and composer. He is a man truly passionate about worship and devoted to the things of God. His worship style opens up the heavens to lead them into their fullness in God.

Name Above All Names is also available on all digital platforms.
