‘Anyway,’ written by Josh Grimmett, David Leonard, Chris Davenport, and Hastings, is a declaration of faith in Jesus in the face of adversity.

Hasting writes: ‘I have to trust that whatever mess I find myself in, it’s what’s making me the person I was made to be. I have to trust when it comes to God that his ‘will is worth the test’ in highlight, in heartbreak, it’s all the same and my response to him should be as such, the same.’

Nominees for the 2022 K-LOVE Fan Awards were announced today, with Anne Wilson, Casting Crowns, for KING & COUNTRY, Katy Nichole, Maverick City Music, TobyMac and Zach Williams all leading with three nominations each; CAIN, Crowder, Brandon Lake & Jenn Johnson, Tasha Layton and Zach Williams followed with two each.

A brand new category honoring the Podcast of the Year has been added to the ballot this year, and fans are now able to begin voting for their favorites here – a full list of nominees is below.

The biggest fan weekend in Christian music will take place May 27-29 in Nashville, with a kick-off concert Friday at 7pm, followed by an emerging artist’s showcase and songwriter’s showcase on Saturday, and the annual Sunday morning worship service, all at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel.

Nashville’s iconic OPRY will welcome the Fan Awards on May 29, hosted by ASCAP Christian Songwriter of the Year Matthew West and ten-time GRAMMY nominee Tauren Wells, airing on TBN June 3rd (airing back to back at both 8pm and 10pm ET). Sunday night (May 15), MRC and NBC celebrated an electrifying evening with the “2022 Billboard Music Awards” (BBMAs) broadcast live on NBC coast-to-coast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and live on Peacock.

Host Sean “Diddy” Combs was joined by today’s Billboard chart-topping artists for exhilarating performances, empowering moments, and historic wins. Eight on-air awards were given out, in addition to the earlier non-broadcast categories. Winners for relevant Christian and Gospel music categories are below.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has reacted to the news of a Christian Student that was beaten and burnt to death in Sokoto state over alleged blasphemy.

The Association condemned the act in a press statement released by Joseph Bade Daramola, Esq, CAN’s General Secretary that reads: “DEBORAH’S KILLERS MUST BE BROUGHT TO BOOK“.

“The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) condemns in strong terms the gruesome murder of a Christian, 200 Level student of Shehu Shagari College of Education,  Sokoto, Deborah Samuel by some extremist fellow students on alleged blasphemy”

“The unlawful and dastardly action of the perpetrators must not only be condemned by all right thinking people but the security operatives must fish them out, prosecute them as it is expected of them. It is the failure of the security agencies and the government to rise up to such criminalities in the past that gave birth to terrorists and bandits. And as long as the State fails to bring these beasts and criminals amidst us to book, so also the society will continue to be their killing fields”

“We acknowledge the swift reaction of His Eminence, Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar 111 who not only condemned the criminal and religious intolerant action but called on the security agencies to bring the perpetrators to justice. It is our expectation that the State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, would ensure that the matter is not swept under the carpet, as it was before“.

“We also call on all teachers and preachers of religious intolerance, extremism and terrorism to repent before the wrath of God descends on them if the State failed to bring them to book. They are agents of death amidst us”

“We recall the provocative and demeaning advertisement of the Sterling Bank where the bank compared the Resurrection of Jesus Christ to “Agege bread”, up till now, nobody was attacked and even the CAN leadership has accepted the apology tendered by its Chief Executive, Abubakar Suleiman. Killing for any God in the name of blasphemy is ungodly, satanic, foolish, reprehensible and totally unacceptable. This is not a Stone Age and Nigeria is not a Banana Republic. Nigeria remains a non-religious State where no religion is supreme to the other“.
