Husband & Wife Duo Alabaster Grace Release New Single “Wait Upon The Lord”

Husband and wife duo Brad and Joanie Perry, better known to fans as Alabaster Grace, are celebrating the release of their latest single, “Wait Upon the Lord,” from Westar Media Group.

Brad Perry, a highly decorated former NASA rocket scientist, and his wife, Joanie Perry, a dedicated educator—together known professionally as Alabaster Grace—once again called on the skills of multiple Dove Award-winning producer Chris Bevins (producer and keyboards for Selah, Christine D’Clario, Salvador, Jaci Velasquez) to bring the song to life.

In addition to serving as keyboardist, Bevins brought in some of Nashville’s other finest studio musicians for the recording, including drummer Dan Needham (Amy Grant, Jeremy Camp, Michael McDonald, Sting), guitarist Mike Payne (Casting Crowns, Francesca Battistelli, Mandisa, Lauren Daigle, Natalie Grant), and bassist Jacob Lowery (Gaither Vocal Band, Seth & Nirva).

The highly anticipated follow-up to “Being in Your Presence,” the duo’s most recent single, “Wait Upon the Lord” is an uplifting and encouraging song that reminds listeners that God is faithful to give us the strength we need in every situation.

“Wait Upon the Lord” represents something of a departure from Alabaster Grace’s usual musical style. Weaving Americana vibes throughout the ballad, then offering the listener a catchy, can’t-get-it-out-of-your-head chorus, “Wait Upon the Lord” has both fans and industry insiders excited.

“Alabaster Grace does it again with another great single,” declares Kathryn Ambrose of Westar Media Group. “Wait Upon the Lord” is a joyful song that tells us the Lord will be there for us through everything. This is a must-listen for the Fall!”

“We have had the pleasure of working with Brad and Joanie on several occasions, and their love for the Lord and His music is evident in everything they do,” add Paul Gibbs and Nate Miller of NoteSpire Music. “The Scripture-based lyrics of their songs, paired with beautiful melodies and accompaniments, help draw each listener closer to the heart of God.”

“Brad and Joanie harness the power of the Word to bless so many with the message of hope and encouragement in this world of craziness and prophetic happenings!” says Rac Man Christian Radio’s Jesse Martin.

The Perrys credit the Lord with delivering the right message at the right time for the song.

“We were asked to do special music for the service at our home church,” explains Alabaster Grace’s primary lyricist, Joanie Perry. “Brad said, ‘Joanie, we need to write a song that will go with the pastor’s message.’ We prayed on it, and ‘Wait Upon the Lord’ was the answer to our prayer. The song is based on Isaiah 40, which emphasizes the importance of putting our hope and trust in the Savior and waiting on Him to give us strength for each day.”

“It is an uplifting and encouraging song stressing that God will give us the strength we need,” adds Brad Perry, who wrote the guitar parts and the bridge, and contributed to the arrangement. “When we are tired and weary, He will energize us. We will mount up with wings like eagles, soaring above the storms of our lives, knowing that God will get us through every circumstance.”

Tedashii Releases Deeply Reflective Ep, This Time Around 2 and New Single, “Holy Ground!”

Rapper, public speaker, podcast host, and founding member of the 116 Movement, Tedashii, is releasing a new EP, This Time Around 2, on October 14th. The album features Jon Keith, Big Breeze, Zach Paradis, and Reach Records label mates: Lecrae, Trip Lee, and 1K Phew.

“This Time Around 2 is the outcome of deep self-reflection, a new beginning, and a call to listeners to witness the transformation that is available on the other side if you’re willing to do the work and surrender yourself to God,” shares Tedashii.

Tedashii’s special sauce lies in his distinctive style and ability to transfer pain and struggle into poignant music. Nicknamed TDot, the Texas-born and raised emcee has captivated fans with his energetic sound and booming voice for nearly two decades. His latest project, This Time Around 2, picks up where the original released in 2016 left off and this time around he brings even more wisdom into his music from hard-earned lessons learned. “I talk about what I have lived and not what I’ve learned from reading. As a result, I have a renewed sense of awareness and am constantly working on loving myself and pushing forward through insecurities.”

In advance of This Time Around 2, Tedashii has released several singles and music videos including: “Mirror Talk,” “OBJ,” and “Respect My Team” featuring label mates, Lecrae and Trip Lee and the latest “Holy Ground” directed by Dustbrandfilms. “Wherever I go, God is with me! As a matter of fact, as someone who is made in the image of God, and one who believes that God is the Creator of everything, where I step because he is with me is Holy Ground so I treat life and the world as such. I walk in and show up as my true self knowing I’m on Holy Ground,” shares Tedashii.

“Mirror Talk is a very confessional song. It’s honest, vulnerable, transformative, and reflects some very personal struggles that I’ve navigated through,” shares Tedashii. “In the first verse of “Mirror Talk,” I talk about my struggles with mental health, self-esteem, identity, and even the fear of not fitting in. The second verse talks about my experience as a Black Man in the world at large and the conclusions I’ve come to trying to navigate through white Christian spaces.”

“Respect My Team,” marks the first time that he, Lecrae, and Trip Lee have recorded together since “Nothing I Can’t Do,” released on his 2014 album, Below Paradise. The heartfelt lyrics on the “Respect My Team” speak to the brotherhood between Tedashii, Lecrae, and Trip Lee that launched the 116 Movement and the Romans 1:16 verse which is at the core of Reach Records’ mantra and mission. “I’m always super excited to record new music with Trip Lee and Lecrae. We’ve been friends and label mates for nearly two decades; they’re some of my favorite artists. So, to create new music together is super exciting!” The Texas natives also include a chopped & screwed version of the song on the EP.

In the comedic action music video for “Respect My Team,” which casts Tedashii, Lecrae, and Trip Lee, as Blaxploitation era detectives taking down villains, the three icons go deep undercover and into character. “Some of my favorite films growing up were Kung-Fu flicks,” shares Tedashii. “When I was a kid, I watched Kung-Fu theater every Saturday! I watched everything from Bruce Lee to The Heroic Trio and was a superfan of Jim Kelly, and Chuck Norris. I was such a huge fan of karate flicks that I started taking martial arts as a kid, so many of the moves you see me doing in the video come from my childhood. I still watch Kung Fu flicks to this day!”

In between recording the new music, TDot launched a new podcast called The Dash which is in its second season. “The goal of The Dash is to hold a mirror up to myself and invite guests on to have a real conversation about the reflections we see in our mirrors and how we’re living out our dash. We’re all created with unique gifts connected to our life purpose. Our conversations will explore the journey we’re on, the things we’ve learned, and even what we’re changing to become reflections of God,” shares Tedashii.

He’s also formed a nonprofit foundation, The Chase Foundation, in honor of his one-year-old son, Chase, who passed away in 2012. “After the sudden death of my son, Chase, I was dealing with panic attacks every week and had bouts of anxiety and depression. I started self-medicating, drinking, and isolating myself for safety and ended up in a self-degrading cycle. I was clinically depressed, and after years of self-analysis, therapy, prayer, and time alone with God, I am finally ready to show my scars, despite their ugliness,” he explains. “The loss and pain will always be there, but I’m feeling healthy again. Through The Chase Foundation, I hope to walk with young people the same way I walked with Chase had he still been with us. The Chase Foundation will also help connect parents who have lost a child with resources to assist them as they grieve.”

With new music on the horizon, producing and hosting season two of The Dash podcast, and even forming a nonprofit, Tedashii, is taking this time around to share his renewed relationship with God through his music. “My renewed vision for this music is to show people the risk of trusting God with the things we go through. But, it’s worth it, and if you can hope, you can eventually heal.

Amanda Danziger & Filipe Michael Expand The Worship Genre With Their Collaborative EP Due November 4

Amanda Danziger will release her highly anticipated Seasons EP on Friday, November 4. This project is unique because it isn’t a typical worship album; it was created to emulate cinematic soundscapes, which Danziger describes as devotional worship.

“Devotional worship is a place of listening and stillness,” explains Danziger. “It doesn’t sound like corporate worship or an anthem you sing in church. It’s made to be a spiritual experience in your devotional time with the Lord.”

The Seasons In Sound

Seasons caps Danziger’s musical journey through the year. Each season she teased listeners with singles included on the album, starting with “Vindicate” for winter, “Prison Walls” for spring and “Refining Fire” for summer. And in the album release, “Be Still” will complete the seasonal journey with fall. Plus, the EP will include a bonus instrumental.

Each song in Seasons begins with a distinctive sound to evoke the season. “Vindicate” starts with the rush of a winter storm. Rain and thunder open spring’s “Prison Walls,” and the crackling of a summer campfire introduces “Refining Fire.” For fall, the sound of walking along a leaf-strewn path in the woods begins “Be Still” (pre-save the EP here).

“Each song is approached in a cinematic style that paints a musical picture of the season,” Danziger shares.

With Danziger musically drawing the outline for each song, she relied upon producer and co-writer Filipe Michael to paint in the colors.

“While the songs are my melodies, lyrics, prayers, and my heart, Filipe composed the soundtrack of the entire album. This gave him the ability to think outside the box when it came to composing. He only had stems of my vocals to work with to create the sounds in this album,” she continues.

seasons

Collaborating in His name

Childhood friends who met in church, Danziger and Michael have been collaborating since 2019, but they now live in separate states – Danziger in Pennsylvania and Michael in New Jersey. Working remotely with musical sounds as thir primary means of communication, they brought the album together.

“Soundscapes are like painting a picture and my part of our collaboration is to bring these visions to life,” Michael says.

Adding spice to the soundscapes they create is that both come from multi-cultural backgrounds. “Filipe will joke with me that my melodies don’t sound American or mainstream, and that’s because of my upbringing. I’m a first-generation American after my parents moved from Egypt in the late 70s. I grew up listening to Arabic music in my home, so I find myself singing in minor keys and experimenting with the sounds of Egypt.”

Michael grew up in Sao Paulo, Brazil though they first connected in an Arabic-speaking church. “We used to lead our peers in worship, and from then on, we’ve always known we would create a very special musical piece one day. Seasons is it,” Danziger believes.

Recognition

After releasing the first song of Seasons with “Vindicate,” Integrity Music recognized the unique contribution that Danziger made in the contemporary worship genre and signed her to a licensing deal through its Integrated Music Rights program. This allowed Danziger to remain an independent artist, but also gain access to a record label infrastructure and opportunities.

“The timing was all in God’s hands. I was so excited for this opportunity because it came right in time for the launch of Seasons,” Danziger states. “Seasons is a journey. It is a walk through of an entire year of thoughts, prayers, and life — and I’m grateful to launch this project with the Integrity team. They’ve encouraged us and helped us navigate throughout the entire process.”

[Music] With Love – Tia McGraff

A great buildup of emotion, Tia McGraff delivers true tenderness on the sweetness of “With Love”. Sung with honeyed vocals, the lyricism has a Valentine’s Day splendor to them.

The arrangement builds up in a way that has a soothing disposition to it. Over the course of the journey the way she brings the rest of the band has a communal presence. Electric and acoustic come together playing off each other’s strengths.

By keeping a unique balance the song has a timelessness to all of it, with the song sprawling out into the seemingly infinite. Word choice matters for she makes sure the verses intersect to create vivid patterns.

Mere wisps of sound start things off. Her voice and a single acoustic guitar accompany her. From that point the rest of the trip gets mapped out in full. Energy pours out of the song with each twist and turn of the group. Inclusion of the keyboards is a fine touch bringing to mind the right mixture of the new and old.

She touches upon elements of the blues though hers is a feeling of pure uncut defiance, of a desire to rise above any possible obstacle. Quite skillfully she lets the whole of the band race up with the final stretch of the song simply melting away into a delirious blur.

“With Love” revels in the large and small details for Tia McGraff makes sure that the track touches upon thee

[Download] Ni Suuru – Abijossy Ft. Motivated Dave

Canadian-based Nigerian Gospel artiste, Abijossy is back again with a brand new music video titled “Ni Suuru (Be Patient)”.

Featuring the talented Motivated Dave on his new track, Abijossy reaffirms that Patience is a great virtue. He also admonishes that all will be well only if we remain focused and wait on God’s time.

Motivated Dave while sharing his testimonials on this new release, he noted that the singer’s songs have never been just about flair and melody, as Abijossy has always paid particular attention to the edification of the soul through his lyrics.

“Even though the verse was to be just a little over 60 seconds, many hours of studying and reflecting went into it”, he added.

Often, we put ourselves under undue pressure due to other people’s expectations! We believe we would disappoint those who have certain expectations of us if we do not live up to their standards and definition of accomplishment. The truth is, we end up hurting ourselves when we constantly do that!

This is what leads to edginess and irritation! This is what breeds impatience! We start to compare our lives using other people’s yardsticks and standards!

You must come to the point where competition does not excite you anymore. If others think they are winning, congratulate them! If they think they are doing better, good for them! Getting ahead or behind shouldn’t matter if you know that your essence of living is being accomplished and you are getting better every day!”, Motivated Dave also said.

Abijossy has served us in the past with a number of excellent and worded tracks like ‘The Breath’, ‘Olowogbogboro’, ‘Awamaridi’, ‘Ogo’, ‘Igba(Time’ and lots more.

Abijossy currently lives in Alberta, Canada, and has become a blessing to many lives.

Ni Suuru’s beautiful video was shot and directed by Korrect Films (Nigeria) and Gbenga Awolere Films (Canada).
