Reach Records’ award-winning artist, 1K Phew, releases the official music video for “Saved Me”. The track is from his first official solo album, As I Am. 

“God gave me the swag and the sauce and I’m going to use it! I just want to share my life through this music. Soileau described his journey to songwriting, “I was looking everywhere and searching for a new career that would realize the full potential of my God-given gifts through sixteen years of working in the healthcare industry at that time. I truly believe God found me and gave me a message through another person. I initially started songwriting as a joke with a fellow employee but later realized I could really write. It was natural to write Christian songs along with Country songs because I had been listening to CCM for over twenty years due to a hunger for spiritual music outside of church on the weekend.”

Soileau, lyricist, was introduced to songwriting later in life by a patient at his physical therapy clinic. He was always searching for what God wanted him to do since he didn’t feel like therapy was his final destination. Five years after his patient introduced him to the CMT/NSAI song contest he won it with the help of co-writer and vocalist Chase. Chase has his own history in the industry with a former stint on The Voice, Team Blake and currently singing with the break-out Christian band, I Am They. Soileau is originally from Louisiana but now resides in Spring, Texas with his wife and three kids. Chase is from Fort Worth but now lives outside of Nashville.

Although it takes decades for traditions to be formed, CalledOut Music’s end-of-year gift is something we now comfortably look forward to. This 2022 single, which the artist shared a snippet of weeks ago has been worth the suspense. ‘Ese’, a Yoruba word translating to ‘Thank You’ is an Afro-pop single that speaks of God’s unending faithfulness.

Reflecting on the track, COM says, ”It started off as a freestyle.  We all should have moments when we pause and reflect on God’s goodness; Ese was written on one of those days. I wrote it one gratitude-filled morning. It really became a full fledged song after the overwhelming response it received on social media – so many people wanted a full version out quickly.  I hope it reminds listeners to always give thanks regardless.”

Last week, two-time GRAMMY Award winner Lauren Daigle, through her organization The Price Fund, wrapped up her season of fall giving with donations of $100k to New Orleans’ Ellis Marsalis Center, Roots of Music, NOCCA, KidSmart, and Young Audiences of Louisiana presented at her sold-out holiday performances at New Orleans’ Saenger Theatre. The concerts, which have become an annual tradition for Daigle, provided the perfect opportunity to highlight the importance that music charities can bring to underserved communities by allowing several children and young adults to perform on stage. In addition to the New Orleans organizations, Daigle presented funds to Roots Music, Country Music Hall of Fame’s Words & Music, and Notes for Notes at her holiday concerts at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium and 42Strong, Colorado Healing Fund, Music Health Alliance, Agape School and Greater Good Music earlier this fall, bringing The Price Fund’s Fall total of $681,000.
