Brothers of the Heart — the “country, bluegrass, gospel dream team” (Cowboys & Indians) featuring award-winning americana/bluegrass/country/gospel artists Jimmy Fortune, Bradley Walker, Mike Rogers, and Ben Isaacs — returns with its 12-track sophomore album Listen to the Music (Gaither Music Group), releasing Friday, January 20.

Produced by group member Ben Isaacs (producer for Oak Ridge Boys, Rory Feek and more), the Brothers reimagine country, gospel and pop classics, including “Ring of Fire,” “Desperado” and “Bye Bye Love,” showcasing the super group’s signature seamless harmonies and impeccable arrangements.

“I feel like it starts with doing your best to honor the music’s roots,” Isaacs says. “There are little signature licks, and I felt like it was important to not change an arrangement so much that you confuse people. So much of this type of record is about recognizability, so you want to do everything that you can to put your stamp on it but to also honor the originals.”

The Brothers will celebrate their new record with a performance on the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday, February 7. Tickets are available for purchase here.

Listen to the Music’s debut track, the group’s reimagining of The Statler Brothers’ “I’ll Go to My Grave Loving You,” along with the album’s second single, a breathtaking arrangement of the classic hymn “Just As I Am,” are available everywhere now.

Following Brothers of the Heart’s acclaimed debut album Brotherly Love (more than 31 million streams worldwide), the Listen to the Music record will be accompanied by a performance DVD and TV special. Filmed at the Opry’s iconic Studio A and hosted by The Statler Brothers’ Don Reid, the TV special will debut on Thursday, January 19, at 6:30PM EST on RFD-TV with an additional airing on Saturday, January 21, at 6:00PM EST.

The special will air on UPtv on Sunday, January 29th, at 9:00 AM and will be seen on PBS, TBN, Heartland, GaitherTV, FamilyNet, CTN, GMTN, Guardian, Liberty, TCT and TLN. In Canada, the special will air on Vision TV, CTS, The Miracle Channel, and Hope TV.

“For me, this is so much more than music,” says Walker. “When you hear people talk about this group they say, ‘You can tell that you all love each other, and you can tell you all are having fun.’ That’s the best thing about it to me. The Barrie, Ontario band was formed in 2016.  The Michael Jack-produced single is their first release of 2023.

Barrie, Ontario-based country rock band, The High Road is known for pumping out hit-caliber songs in the country and rock genres. Songs like “Sweet River Woman,” “Drive” and “Huckleberry” have helped the band earn over 2K monthly Spotify listeners. The band, led by chief songwriter and vocalist, Don Scott, has now released their first single of 2023. Titled “Brand New You,” the song is a befitting release for the new year since the song is about new beginnings and opening up to new experiences in life.  “Brand New You” was produced by renowned engineer/producer, Michael Jack (Billy Ray Cyrus, Olivia Newton-John).

Having started with founding members and previous bandmates, Don Scott (Vocals, Guitar, Keys) and Ron Fathers (Vocals, Bass, Guitar), The High Road was soon joined by Richard Fathers (Vocals, Guitar, Keys, Lap Steel Guitar, and Harmonica) along with Dave Martin (Vocals, Keys, Guitar, Drums) and Greg Frank (Drums and Vocals.) Together, all 5 members of the band leverage their unique musical expertise and experience to create memorable country songs fused with classic rock elements for a timeless and nostalgic feel.

The High Road

Justin Mattock is a nationally recognized multi-genre Canadian producer and musician. His latest Pop-Country single is “Seventeen.”

Whether it’s pop, punk, rock, or country, Vancouver-based producer, songwriter, and artist, Justin Mattock has created notable hits across genres. With his ever-evolving musical style and sound, Justin has released his first single of 2023. “Seventeen” is a nostalgic and introspective song that looks back on being 17-years-old, during the summer of 1995. With a timeless, yet current sound, the song is primed for radio playlists in 2023.

Since joining the Canadian music scene in 2014, Justin has ventured into a variety of different scenes and genres. Starting out producing Vancouver-based Pop-Rock group Chase Your Words, the band’s prior success quickly helped him make a name for himself on a national scale. Nigerian Gospel singer, Racheal Oluwatosin Odunayo, has released her official debut single titled, “So Mi D’eri”.

“So Mi D’eri” translates as “Turn Me Into Testimony” in the English Language.

This new sound is also produced by Oyinlade. Racheal Oluwatosin Odunayo serves as an evangelist at Christ Apostolic Church, Transfiguration District Coordinating Council.

Despite being a singer, So Mi D’eri is her debut produced track.

The first show airs on January 17^th and will feature an interview with Reach Records co-founders, Lecrae, with CEO Ben Washer who will take you on a journey of Reach Records from its founding in 2003 to the present.  

Since the 116 Movement began, Reach Records roster has grown from its sole artist, multi-award-winning artist, and New York Times best-selling artist, Lecrae, and expanded from original 116 members Tedashii, Trip Lee, to include Andy Mineo, and newcomers 1K Phew, Wande, Hulvey, WHATUPRG.

Another big move for Reach Records is the inclusion of Tedashii‘s single “Get Out My Way” ft Lecrae in Apple’s iPhone 14 “Action Mode” commercial.
