Amanda Danziger and Filipe Michael will released part two of their Seasons EP, titled Seasons Instrumental today, January 20, 2023. The project which initially launched on November 4, 2022 was created to emulate cinematic soundscapes, which Danziger describes as devotional worship.
“Devotional worship is a place of listening and stillness,” explains Danziger. “Over the years I have written every song I’ve done with my co-writer Filipe Michael, so I wanted to show that we are a team with our latest project Seasons. Filipe is the sole-composer of this project, while I have written the lyrics and melodies. Seasons Instrumental is going to give the listener a completely different experience — you’ll be able to hear all the nuances and creativity my co-writer put into composing Seasons. I hope listeners go into a quiet place for this experience when it releases.”

Matt Redman releases ‘Halfway Empty’, the third single off his anticipated 2023 album. The new song – and its compelling title – explores the idea that when our cup is full to the brim and overflowing, we aren’t even close to the end of God’s grace; it’s not even “halfway empty”.
Matt Redman wrote most of the lyrics in a hospital waiting room as one of his children underwent surgery; a tough moment in which he could practice focusing on the Lord’s kindness and provision.

New single ‘Good Ground’ was initially inspired by the opening account in the book of John, setting up a Christological lens through which to read the Scriptures: Jesus is the Word.
Following from there, the parable of the Sower takes on a whole new meaning when perceiving Jesus being the One sown in our hearts; the hope of the world has been enmeshed into the spiritual soil of this earth.
“We get to participate as gardeners and cultivators through our living testimonies, our stories. This song is a prayer for the ground of our hearts to be soft so that we don’t miss the best thing we have going for us in Christ,” Zach Bolen says. ‘Good Ground’ is good news! It’s a song for those who feel burdened, guilty, and not enough.
Citizens invite listeners to trust the gravitational pull of salvation, embrace the goodness of God, and move in that current rather than fighting against it. With compassion and conviction, Zach adds that, “perhaps a song like this would help to mentally and spiritually free people from the toil of thinking that it’s on us to save the world. While the band were tracking the song, they recorded Brian [Eichelberger] crumpling paper as a joke, however the effect worked and wound up on the bridge. With their new single, Citizens call us away from a results-based gospel to into perpetual rest.

“Osobe” is a Yoruba phrase which is being translated as “You Said It”. According to Dabo, the song is one borne out of personal experience during a challenging time and therefore serves as an assurance in God’s promise to every believer to trust in His blessings as we diligently follow.
