Matthew West Previews Worship Side Of Upcoming Double Album With “You Changed My Name”

Matthew West is kicking off the year with a taste of what’s to come with the release of uplifting new track “You Changed My Name,” out today.

He also shared the accompanying video, which was directed by Sean Hagwell and serves as a display of fellow worshipers coming together joyfully as chosen children of God. The worshippers featured in the visual are fans who West surprised at his Come Home For Christmas event in December with the chance to be a part of this special video.

West’s upcoming double album, MY STORY YOUR GLORY, is set for release on February 17 and is available for pre-order now here. The first part of the album, MY STORY, embodies the countless stories fans have shared with the songwriter over the years as well as personal experiences and the second part, YOUR GLORY, marks West’s first official worship album.

“As we get closer to the release of this double album, I’m so excited to share a song from the Your Glory worship album,” shares West. “‘You Changed My Name’ is the song declaring the powerful truth in knowing our true identity in Christ. I can’t wait to lead this in worship and I hope its message will remind us all that we are not only saved by grace, we are changed by grace.”

You Changed My Name – Matthew West

The five-time Grammy® nominated artist is poised and ready for an impressive 2023 after a monumental 2022 – his prior single “Me On Your Mind” spent 6 weeks atop the Mediabase Christian Airplay chart and graced the top the Billboard Christian Airplay Chart for 5 weeks. The track was his fifth consecutive chart-topper and  marked West’s 25th number one song combined as an artist and songwriter – now up to 27. He was named NSAI’s Songwriter-Artist of the Year following the footsteps of artists including Luke Combs, Luke Bryan, and Taylor Swift to name a few. West is notably the first predominantly Christian artist to win the award in over 20 years. He released his sixth book “The God Who Stays,” an engaging and thoughtful exploration, balanced with West’s trademark wit and humor, that helps us reconnect to the Biblical truth that God is with us. In his most personal book to date, West was inspired by the dramatic events of 2020 to go on a spiritual journey of rediscovery and revival inspired by the words of his hit song “The God Who Stays.” The proven storyteller finished out the year with a partnership with Great American Family to highlight “Come Home For Christmas” on their channel all holiday season and a high profile appearance of the carol on The Kelly Clarkson Show – watch here.

Additionally, fans can hear him on “The Matthew West Podcast” which has surpassed an impressive 2.5 million downloads and drops new episodes weekly under the “That Sounds Fun” network. He is gearing up to captivate fans across the nation with the MY STORY YOUR GLORY tour. For dates and ticket information visit matthewwest.com/tour.

Matt Redman Releases Third Single From 2023 Live Album

Matt Redman releases ‘Halfway Empty’, the third single off his anticipated 2023 album. The new song – and its compelling title – explores the idea that when our cup is full to the brim and overflowing, we aren’t even close to the end of God’s grace; it’s not even “halfway empty”.

Matt Redman wrote most of the lyrics in a hospital waiting room as one of his children underwent surgery; a tough moment in which he could practice focusing on the Lord’s kindness and provision.

“I hope that’s what this song will do for other people too – in the middle of our battles and struggles – to help us remember we are constantly held, cared for and provided for,” he says. ‘Halfway Empty’ encourages the Church, reminding us that there has never been a day when the goodness, blessing, and favor of our God didn’t show up in our lives somehow.

There’s an innate gentleness to ‘Halfway Empty’ as it was recorded in an acoustic style, emphasizing the tender heart of God towards his people. Written alongside Quinten Coblentz, Wes Writer and Lynnea, the new single is a worshipful song of remembrance and thanksgiving about the plentiful, lavish, and inexhaustible goodness and grace of God in our lives.

“Halfway Empty” is available now.

She has also been privileged to have several personal encounters with the God of the holy scriptures which have shaped her life.

”Anyone at all can call on The Name of Jesus Christ and get rescued but the believer’s advantage is to wield that name as an instrument of defense to enforce the government of God on the earth in our daily lives and communities, for us to experience God’s love, joy, righteousness, peace, and prosperity through the Lord Jesus Christ.”

”The believer as part of the body of Christ, can also use the name of Jesus Christ as the authority to continue the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ who was manifest to destroy the works of the devil.”

My belief in the name of Jesus has turned to experiences of triumph through a most difficult period of pain, suffering and trouble that has led to confident, firm and unshaken faith in the living Christ.  ”I’m living and breathing today, only because the Name of Jesus Christ works wonders.”

Enlisting the help of acclaimed singer/songwriter Cory Asbury, Grant’s moving version of the hope-filled ballad is available HERE.

“The first time I ever heard this song, I was so overcome with how it just made me think of the message of the Gospel. The lyrics immediately made me think of the love of Jesus and how it has the ability to find every single one of us. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you’ve done, there’s never a moment that you are so far gone that the love of God can’t find you,” Grant says. “I feel like I have the opportunity, not only to let the love of God find me, but to then let the love of God shine through me so I can carry that light and that love to so many people who need to know the message that no matter who you are, when you’re broken and on the ground, you will be found.”
