[Music] Stay – Onome Ovwori Ft Uwana Etuk

In the Kingdom of God, the currency to access true power is intimate and sustained fellowship with the Father. This profound connection is often compared to the deep bond shared between married couples, where intimacy and time together cultivate strength. The more you stay in God’s presence, the more His power fills you.

In Luke 24:49, Jesus instructs His disciples to “stay” until they are “clothed with power from on high.” This power not only empowers believers to perform mighty acts but also enables them to live a life that reflects God’s holiness.

The song “Stay” beautifully captures the longing of the bride (the Church) for her Bridegroom (Jesus), expressing a deep desire for His presence. Featuring the talented trumpet virtuoso, Minister Uwana Etuk, “Stay” carries a compelling message that resonates with all who seek to experience the transformative power of God’s presence.

[Video] Resurrection Hope – Aaron Williams

Aaron Williams introduces “Resurrection Hope,” a brand-new single announcing an upcoming project releasing in spring 2025.

In October 2023, Williams unexpectedly lost his friend and pastor. Staggering through the grief with his church family, he remembers their gatherings feeling like quiet prayer services for months until eventually, the theme of “Resurrection Hope” began emerging. The devastation started to make space, little by little, for him to ponder the meaning of Christ’s resurrection.

Inspired by 1 Corinthians 15, Williams penned “Resurrection Hope” as a song that stands in the face of life’s most difficult moments with the victory and hope of Christ. Though it was born in the ashes of loss this song is anthemic and spacious, inviting worshippers to step into the reality of resurrection.

With “Resurrection Hope,” Williams tells of the foundational belief repeated by generations of the Church: Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again.

Music Review: DPB’s “Peer Pressure” – A Bold Anthem of Faith and Identity

In a world where cultural currents push and pull at the hearts of young people, DPB’s latest single, “Peer Pressure,” stands as a powerful beacon of faith and self-worth. As a Christian rap artist with decades of ministry and musical influence, DPB (David Paul Brooks) delivers more than just a catchy beat—he provides a message of hope, identity, and resilience rooted in biblical truth.

A Bold Message Against the Tide

At its core, “Peer Pressure” is an anthem of resistance against the forces of conformity that often lead young people away from their true selves. The song narrates the struggles of a high school girl and boy as they wrestle with the desire for acceptance, body image concerns, and the temptation to compromise their values for popularity. The lyrics vividly portray their thoughts:

“I don’t fit in. I don’t have any friends. I want to be noticed by them, by her, by him…”

These opening lines set the stage for a deeply relatable and emotional journey. DPB doesn’t shy away from the raw reality of teenage insecurity, yet he offers a way out—not through worldly validation, but through a God-centered perspective.

Musical Composition: A Compelling Fusion

Musically, “Peer Pressure” blends contemporary hip-hop beats with DPB’s signature positive rap delivery. The rhythm is infectious, yet the depth of the lyrics ensures that the song is more than just an earworm—it’s a call to action. The chorus, with its repeated warnings of pressure “coming after you all the time,” serves as a reminder of the constant battle young people face, but also reinforces the need for spiritual strength.

The production quality is polished, with a smooth mix of modern trap elements and classic hip-hop flow that makes it both relevant and timeless. DPB’s voice carries authority and passion, underscoring the urgency of his message.

Biblical Relevance: Standing Firm in Faith

From a Christian perspective, “Peer Pressure” is more than a motivational song—it’s a call to spiritual discernment. The Bible warns about the dangers of conforming to the world:

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind…” (Romans 12:2)

DPB echoes this biblical truth as he encourages listeners to stay true to their God-given identity. The song suggests that seeking God’s purpose is the key to overcoming social pressures, a message that aligns with Proverbs 3:5-6:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

This biblical foundation makes “Peer Pressure” not just a song, but a ministry tool for youth pastors, parents, and mentors guiding young people through the challenges of modern culture.

Hope Over Hype: A Call to Purpose

While the song addresses the temptation to fit in through external validation—sports, fashion, wealth, or even crime—it ultimately rejects these fleeting solutions. The second verse shifts focus toward choosing purpose over popularity, with lines like:

“Nah, I just need to be myself… Stay in school, keep going forward.”

This is a refreshing contrast to much of today’s mainstream hip-hop, which often glorifies materialism, rebellion, and self-indulgence. DPB’s alternative narrative encourages listeners to choose wisdom over recklessness, faith over fear, and God’s plan over peer approval.

Final Verdict: A Must-Listen for Christian Youth

“Peer Pressure” is not just a song—it’s a movement. DPB has crafted a track that is both musically engaging and spiritually convicting. The combination of hard-hitting beats, relatable storytelling, and biblical encouragement makes it a must-listen for youth struggling with identity and self-worth.

In a world where many feel pressured to conform, DPB reminds us that true identity is found in Christ. This single is a timely message for today’s generation and a valuable tool for churches, schools, and ministries striving to guide young people toward God’s purpose for their lives.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) – A powerful, faith-filled rap anthem for today’s youth.

Nemiroff goes on to share a personal struggle with mental health she recently experienced saying in part, “I had walked through an unexpected tragedy around a year ago and was flooded with intense sudden anxiety months later not realizing I had stuffed so much down surrounding it all.

I was at point where the anxiety at times felt so crippling and scary that continuing to live this way just felt exhausting and tbh…. wasn’t sure I wanted to somedays. I started opening up with close friends/family and letting them in and I also started going to counseling. God has used it to help me process some really difficult things, identify core wounds, and bring about a lot of healing as well. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted and I feel like myself again!”
