The way that so many of you connect with this song says a lot. It says that there’s so many of us navigating a challenging season. We’re clinging to hope that there are better days ahead. We can simultaneously be in a hard season while also acknowledging God’s goodness and faithfulness.
We can even catch glimpses of ‘better days’ here and there. But what truly stands out is that this means we’re not alone. You’re not alone. We’re all in this together waiting for God to do something. I guess we’re all just waiting for some better days. -Ellis

Additional highlights of Songs From The Dark include“Mercy,” a petition for healing and grace featuring GRAMMY-nominated, Dove Award-winning singer/songwriter Cindy Morgan; and the gentle, assuring lilt of “For Love,” showcasing evocative harmonies from lauded singer/songwriter Skye Peterson.
“It has been a long season since I last released a record that was marked by just me and the piano keys underneath my fingertips or my guitar tucked up against my chest with an arch of a melody and some lines I had hidden away,” Greer shares. “I waited for the season where I would find space to offer up whatever I had to music—and eventually to others. I finally found it, and those songs became Songs From The Dark.”
