Sarah Kroger introduces “The Gardener,” the third deluxe single and bonus track from her recent album “A New Reality.” The new release comes out of John 15 and is a sung prayer for pruning and for growth. Yet, its gentle melody and Kroger’s ethereal vocals underline a sense of fearlessness permeating the process. “The Gardener” reminds listeners that God’s fundamental goodness makes pruning a source of joy and relief, but not of harm.

Heartfelt and intimate, the new song moves through its scriptural inspiration and weaves in Galatians 5, the well-known passage on the fruit of the Spirit. “The Gardener” shines with the hope that good fruit shall grow out of remaining in Christ and letting God cultivate our lives.
