[Music] Press Rewind – Munday Martin
WHY is Munday so different lately? What is the method to his madness to create a retro sound that seems to fit in so good with this younger generation? Munday Martin will drop his 16th single of said sound on St. Patrick’s Day, produced by Dove Award winner John Mark Painter (Fleming and John, The Grits, DC Talk, Randy Stonehill, Steve Taylor)
Munday asked the Lord a question in 2021. It was 20 years after full time missions to 34 countries and revival across America and the globe, ultimately leading to a tent revival that lasted 30 days near his home town… “How can I win more people to Jesus on a mass scale? How can I influence a new generation seeking for good in this world?” That is when the Lord directed him to go find the one and leave the 99 inside the four walls of churches and enter the music industry.
Recently a mother of a small child in Iceland who can barely spell made his Mom a picture of a cross she sent me and at the top of the cross were the words SUPER JESUS. This child listens to my songs every day and the family is now some of my most loyal and biggest fans.
Munday knew that if he can reach a small child across the globe through a song, then the potential is a double edged sword. Reach the child, reach the family.
From churches playing his songs, and secular radio stations, melodies are wooing hearts to a message of freedom from addictions, serenading broken hearted fatherless lambs, helping them find meaning in life where suicide plagues a love sick world.
Press Rewind – Munday Martin
In his new song “Press Rewind” he asks the question, “Why try to go back now to what’s comfortable, ministry and life as I knew it before, how will my fruit continue to grow and blossom like this?” Believe me it’s been tempting to try to go back to the old wineskin and even temptations in general. The whole body of Christ is tested even after salvation.
Yet how will the one fallen on the Jericho road find mending when all ignore him who pass by?We are needed at this hour.
Find out this and more and mark your calendars on St. Patrick’s Day as we don’t “Press Rewind,” but we gaze into the future of humanity and find reasons to seek their hearts and anchor their souls in Jesus. It’s going to take a revival to reach the church, but it’s going to take a renaissance to reach a culture!
