One night after a show I had just gotten back to my hotel room and was looking for the sticky note pad of paper in the room. It turned out to be in the nightstand drawer and sitting right next to it was a bible. In that moment I wondered if that bible had a story outside of what was written in it. If maybe there ever someone who was going through something they couldn’t really get out of and by opening it up and reading some of the stories they were reminded they don’t have to be stuck. Reminded there is hope. I’ve had many of those moments myself so I decided to write about it and ‘Hotel Bible’ is what came out. -August
