MORIAH expands on the heart behind the EPs by adding, “Since this EP was so deeply inspired by my family, I couldn’t wait to translate it into Spanish. Buena Vida will be the first top to bottom project I’ve ever released that some of my family members, including my grandfather, will be able to understand and enjoy and it’s entirety, with Spanish being their heart language.
After completing this EP, I noticed a serendipitous iron post a short drive down a dirt road from my grandfather’s doublewide trailer in El Paso, Texas that says ‘La Buena Vida.’ I take this to be confirmation that even in the most barren and simple places, we can find the greatest joys and most precious times with the people we love. Now that’s what I call a Buena Vida.”
