With his earliest connection to music deeply rooted in the church, the multi-instrumentalist co-wrote RIAA Platinum-certified hit “Here As In Heaven” and Gold-certified singles “Resurrecting” and “Echo,” cementing his reputation as a gifted songwriter and powerful singer.
Now, he’s stepping into a bold new era as a solo artist, melding his diverse musical influences with his honest, conversational lyrical style to create authentic, hopeful art that reminds listeners light can always be found — even in the darkest of moments.
His partnership with Curb was previously announced in February. “My passion for music is ingrained in the depths of hope and the magnificence of the sound of worship — the way it shifts atmospheres, brings healing and transforms lives,” MATTHEWS shared upon inking his recording contract with the iconic label. “Signing with Curb represents a dream unfolding — an opportunity to share my stories and my heart. My music is the outward expression of my inward experience, and my prayer is that it reaches those who need it most.”
