Evidence (Studio) – Josh Baldwin
Dove Award-nominated singer/songwriter and worship leader Josh Baldwin traces the legacy of God’s faithfulness with today’s “Evidence,” the debut single from his forthcoming Bethel Music sophomore set.
Produced by Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, Cory Asbury) and penned by Baldwin, Cash and Ethan Hulse (Jeremy Camp, Zach Williams), the anthemic “Evidence” celebrates His steadfast love through every generation.
Evidence’ came out of wanting to write and sing a song about my history with the Lord—our history with the Lord, Especially nowadays with what’s going on in the world, it’s so easy to let fear creep in and let our current situation cloud us into forgetting what the Lord has done for us. This song speaks to that, it talks about ‘all throughout my history Your faithfulness has walked beside me.
– Josh Baldwin
I’ve been thinking of that so much in the last few months, I know what things look like right now, but what do I know about the Lord? Well, I know He’s always been for me; He’s always been with me; He’s always good. And through that He’s teaching me how to actually walk in His victory, what He’s done for us.
His six-song EP, Live At Church, released (Download Here) earlier in april features a live rendition of Baldwin’s recent single “Let The Redeemed”; a fresh take on Hillsong UNITED’s classic “Came To My Rescue”; and the spontaneous “All I Really Want,” among other selections.
LYRICS
Verse 1
All throughout my history
Your faithfulness has walked beside me
The winter storms made way for spring
In every season, from where I’m standing
Chorus
I see the evidence of Your goodness
All over my life
All over my life
I see Your promises in fulfillment
All over my life
All over my life
Verse 2
Help me remember when I’m weak
Fear may come but fear will leave
You lead my heart to victory
You are my strength and You always will be
Bridge
See the cross, the empty grave
The evidence is endless
All my sin rolled away
Because of You, oh Jesus
Chorus 2
Why should I fear
The evidence is here
