[EP] Cade Thompson Christmas

Joplin native Contemporary Christian artist Cade Thompson is spreading Christmas cheer this holiday season with a three-song Christmas bundle EP that releases across all digital platforms starting today, October 22.

Cade Thompson Christmas is a  three song holiday project that features two classic remakes “Go Tell It On The Mountain” and “Angels We Have Heard on High” along with one original written by Thompson along with Micah Kuiper and Matt Armstrong,  titled “ I Can’t Wait for Christmas.”

“My Christmas EP brings me so much joy as I have been able to put my personality into each single,” shares Thompson. “There has been so much life and excitement surrounding this project, from the moment we began. The arrangements for these songs bring a fun, fresh and new spin, but keep the traditional heartbeats of two well known Christmas songs. My new original Christmas song was written straight from my own Christmas memories, which we can all relate too. I know these songs will hit the audience differently in a familiar season.  I can’t wait for you to hear them.”

Earlier this week, the breakout artist set out on the Step Into the Light Tour with the Grammy Award-winning band Newsboys, female powerhouse vocalist Mandisa and Irish American band We Are Messengers. Thompson will be performing his radio hits like “Every Step of the Way” and other fan favorites from his debut full length album, Bigger Story, that was released in September. For a full list of tour dates, please visit www.cadethompsonmusic.com.

When speaking about the tour, Thompson says, “I was raised on Christian music,  so being able to go on tour with the Newsboys, Mandisa, and We are Messengers causes me to reflect on what an honor it is to be sharing the stage with these icons. I know that I will never forget these moments that I have yet to experience on this tour,  both on stage and behind the scenes. With the tour kicking off soon, the days have been busy getting merch ready and thinking of everything through the fan’s perspective. My favorite part of live performance is being able to encourage the audience through music and the message of the Gospel…and of course hearing so many stories from fans on how music is impacting their lives.”

[Album] Revival: Live At Chapel – Planetshakers

Internationally recognized praise band Planetshakers globally releases Revival: Live At Chapel from Venture3Media (V3M). Available now at all major digital and streaming outlets via https://link.brddg.co/liveatchapel, the album was recorded live by Planetshakers band with Planetshakers Bible College students surrounding them in-the-round.

Residing in Melbourne, Australia, one of the most locked down cities in the world due to the pandemic, Planetshakers have not been able to meet as a church, and at some points, could not even travel more than a few miles from their homes or leave their house for more than an hour without special government permission. Nevertheless, during these unprecedented restrictions on life as they knew it, the church collectively felt God birth revival in their spirit, and what happened next was deemed nothing short of a miracle.

Stepping out in faith when government authorities opened up a window for limited gatherings, Pastor Russell Evans “pressed record” on what he saw God doing in the life of Planetshakers at its Bible College. While not the big production held in a massive arena that is generally expected from Planetshakers, the resulting Revival: Live At Chapel album was just as alive and celebratory, perhaps even more so due to the palpable joy of the students expressing worship together for the first time in months.

“These are songs for the church recorded with very little production, but with hearts that are hungry for the presence of God along with a few organic instruments,” shares Joth Hunt, who is featured on the recording along with Sam EvansAndy HarrisonJosh HamAimee EvansNatalie Ruiz and Rudy Nikkerud.

Pastor Sam Evans adds, “The songs, born out of a time where things looked so bleak, declare a different story, a God-story of faith, hope and trust in the unfailing Word of God, which is good and true in every season of life.”

“If you can declare the goodness of God in the valley when things are looking bad, you can declare the goodness of God anywhere. That’s faith. That’s a relationship with Christ,” says Planetshakers’ Joshua Brown.

Along with the audio produced and mixed by Hunt, all the new songs were captured on video live during the gathering and release simultaneously with the album today.

Full-production versions of these same songs plus the track “Revival’s Here” are also available on Planetshakers’ REVIVAL. This album was recorded live during the REVIVAL Conference held April 1-3 at Planetshakers Church in Melbourne during the brief break in the pandemic lockdowns. Capturing the pent-up, heartfelt roar of praise and worship that erupted during the conference, this is perhaps the most raw live recording ever released from Planetshakers. The album not only introduces some new worship leaders, but also features the core Planetshakers worship team.

There is also a special Planetshakers Revival 7 Days Devotional available now on YouVersion at https://www.bible.com/reading-plans/27632-revival.

Although Melbourne is again locked down with one of the harshest restrictions in the world, Planetshakers continues its mission to “empower generations to win generations.” The ministry is seeing huge streaming numbers online with hundreds of thousands of people from all across the globe connecting to its worship services and resources remotely.

[Christmas LP] Comfort And Joy – Highlands Worship

With a passion to encourage congregational worship, create resources for churches and draw listeners closer to God, Highlands Worship releases Comfort and Joy  to digital retail and streaming outlets globally via The Fuel Music. The festive, 10 song Christmas offering features new and impeccable contemporary arrangements of beloved classics along with the original song “Greater.”

Recorded during the 2020 Christmas season at Church of the Highlands, one of the largest churches in America, the celebratory album features Highlands Worship and a 55-piece orchestra conducted by Brian Eads (Les Misérables) and made up of members of the AlabamaAtlanta and other symphonies across the Southeast.

“This was the best Christmas experience that I’ve ever been a part of,” shares Highlands Worship’s Chris Griffin. “The team pulled off a technically intricate night that involved each of our church’s 23 campuses and an online experience, all emphasizing the Hope of the season alongside a nostalgic thread that connected well-known lyrics and melodies with contemporary production and music.”

Produced and arranged by Griffin and mixed by Sam Gibson (Chris Tomlin, Jesus Culture, Elevation Worship), Comfort and Joy also features Wes Hampton (The Gaither Vocal Band), Jessica Gilmore (née Procter, Miss Alabama 2017), Jamie Rogan (Billy Currington’s drummer) and more of Highlands Worship’s team of 1,000+ members and 70+ full or part-time musicians.

Opening with an inspiring “God Rest ye Merry Gentlemen” and featuring an epic “Carol of the Bells” instrumental, the recording continues with Highlands Worship versions of memorable classics like “The First Noel,” “Away In A Manger,” “O Come All Ye Faithful” and more.

In addition to the album, churches are encouraged to bring this remarkable music to their own congregations this season. In the coming days, MultiTracks is planning to make available to worship teams the entire Comfort and Joy experience, including lighting, graphics, videos, instrumentation and more resources.

[Album] Wholehearted – We Are Messengers

Curb | Word Entertainment band We Are Messengers debuts its third full-length studio album. Listen to the brand new 12-song collection HERE. Written and recorded during the global pandemic, Wholehearted features the K-LOVE Fan Award-winning group’s current radio single, “Come What May,” as well as previously released instant grat tracks “God You Are (feat. Josh Baldwin)” and “Friend Of Sinners.”

“Like most artists, our world kinda fell apart when touring got shut down. So we did what every good songwriter should do, we catalogued every feeling imaginable and tried to make sense of a strange new world. We danced in the darkness, wrestled with doubt, reconnected with God in a really authentic way, and found the beauty in the forced simplicity of our lives,” explains We Are Messengers front man Darren Mulligan of the deeply personal LP. “We gave ourselves fully to the process of telling the truth again and not caring what the world thought of us. The album captures the heart of a follower of Jesus in one of the most wonderful and horrific times we have faced in modern history. We went all in, held nothing back. This one is Wholehearted.”

Mulligan is a featured co-writer on each of the project’s original offerings with additional contributions by Kyle Williams, Jeff Pardo, Phil Wickham, Apollo LTD’s Adam Stark and Jordan Phillips, for KING & COUNTRY multi-instrumentalist Benjamin Backus, Ryan Ellis and Ethan Hulse, among other songwriting all-stars.

The official music videos for Wholehearted were all filmed in Mulligan’s hometown, showcasing the beauty of the lead singer’s native Ireland. A deluxe edition, Wholehearted +, is also available today, boasting the standard album’s dozen tracks as well as a handful of bonus acoustic selections and the band’s recent collaborations with Cory Asbury and Vince Gill.

This week, the Dove-nominated collective wrapped a string of fall dates on TobyMac’s “Hits Deep Tour.” On Oct. 21, they’ll embark on Newsboys’ “Step Into The Light Tour.”

[Album] Blue Flower – The Gray Havens

The Gray Havens announce the release of their new album, Blue Flower. What began as a simple read of CS Lewis’ autobiography, Surprised By Joy, morphed into inspiration for The Gray Havens’ new concept album, Blue Flower.

Blue Flower, the duo’s fifth studio release, explores a soul-deep place of mysterious, inconsolable longing. The engaging songs give this longing a name and usher the listener from a long winter to a bright summer. Blue Flower is fertile ground for wonder and joy and launches The Gray Havens’ rich song-craft to new heights.

The Gray Havens frontman, Dave Radford, steps into his first official producer role co-producing the Blue Flower album with Ben Shive. The results find the band exploring new sounds that stay anchored in their roots but reach out to serve the arc of the songs. Supported by an array of world-class players (Will Chapman of Colony House on drums and Nathan Dugger of Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors on guitar), each lending their own unique voices, the band is in its finest form.

“It’s been inspiring to watch The Gray Havens music evolve over the last few years and especially with this new album” shares manager Keith Stancil. “We expect Blue Flower to be a major milestone in The Gray Havens music career and a catalyst that exposes them to an even wider audience. Several of the songs from the album have already found homes with sync placements on MTV and in key mainstream and Christian streaming playlists.”

Earlier this year, The Gray Havens launched The Gray Havens Podcast to accompany the release with episodes dedicated to deep exploration of the inspiration and recording for each song.

The Gray Havens will be on tour with John Mark Mcmillan in November and will soon be announcing their official Spring 2002 Blue Flower tour.

Known for their unique blend of narrative-pop, The Gray Havens continue to expand their reach into multiple genres with thought provoking lyrical poetry and music. The duo has performed alongside such artists as The Oh Hellos, Josh Garrels, Ben Rector, John Marc McMillan and Drew Holcomb among others.
