Joel Houston’s AMXNRADIO Unveils Debut Album

Joel Houston, the multi-award winning songwriter, producer, and frontman of Hillsong UNITED, unveils the full-length debut album from his latest creative venture, AMXNRADIO.

Following a string of EPs that introduced listeners to AMXNRADIO, this album represents the most complete and revealing portrait of the project to date. It’s worship music reimagined, unfiltered, experimental, deeply personal, and profoundly honest.

This isn’t UNITED. And it’s not a solo project, either,” Houston explains. “It’s more like an outlet; a place to explore what worship can sound like when nothing’s off the table. I needed to make this, not for a crowd, but for my soul. And I hope there are others out there who connect with that.”

Spanning 15 tracks and just over an hour in length, The Profound Foolishness Of ~ is a poetic and cinematic listening experience;  a collage of late-night prayers, raw journal entries, and experimental worship expressions.

The album features previously released songs like “SOM3ONE like U,” “i just wanna beliiieve..” featuring Ivan Theva, and “iN THE ENd (up2U)” with longtime collaborator Matt Crocker. They are tracks that have already begun to define AMXNRADIO’s distinctive sound.

“I set out to make a body of work that didn’t chase commerciality or fit the mold,” says Houston. “Just honest-to-God prayers I wrote like stream-of-consciousness — feelings with a beat, music like a wall of mistakes, words like a spray paint mural. Hopefully something that gets better with time, and reveals something new each time you listen.”

Co-produced by Houston alongside longtime creative partner Michael Guy Chislett (also of UNITED) and UK-based producer Aaron Hollinger, the album also features contributions from Benjamin William Hastings, Aodhan King, Ben Fielding, Nathan Finochio, Anabelle Kitto, Jeriana, Joshua Kpfeuzen, Ben Tan, and others, making up a creative circle of friends and collaborators whose fingerprints can be felt throughout the project.

Musically, The Profound Foolishness Of ~ draws inspiration from across the spectrum; ambient and electronic elements mix with intimate piano, cinematic builds, and melodic fragments. The project evokes comparisons to Bon Iver, Fred again.., Sigur Rós, and even Moby or Massive Attack,  while ultimately standing in a category of its own: deeply spiritual, strikingly vulnerable, and wholly original.

“If all this ever is, is something that helped me find God again — or helped someone else find themselves in God again — then it’s done its job,” Houston says. “I’m not trying to impress anyone. I just wanted to make something real.”

With more AMXNRADIO music planned and UNITED’s return on the horizon, Houston sees both projects as distinct but complementary expressions: united in purpose, grounded in a shared pursuit of worship that tells the truth.

John Mark McMillan Returns To Worship With New Album

Platinum-selling songwriter John Mark McMillan releases his first worship music in over eight years after a season where he hadn’t touched or written worship music. Today breaks that silence with his new album release, Cosmic Supreme (Anotherland), available everywhere.

“There was a season of my life when I started to think I wouldn’t write conventional worship music anymore,” shares John Mark McMillan. “Then life forced me to slow down and I began to catch myself singing little praise choruses in the quiet hours of my daily routine. I wasn’t going to record them. I didn’t even write all of them down at first.

But eventually, I found that my days had become pleasantly haunted by these sweet worship songs. So, I started to feel like maybe they deserved a home.  I guess my heart had something it needed to say to God, even if I didn’t know it.  My greatest hope for this collection of songs is that they would dignify our tendency to lean into the mystery of God again.”

TAYA Debuts Sophomore Album ‘The Reminder’

Worship leader and songwriter, TAYA, releases her sophomore album, The Reminder, available everywhere. With more than one billion streams, TAYA has already made a beautiful impact on the worship genre in a short amount of time.

“I’ve heard it said, you have all the time in the world to write your first record, and then run out of time for the second. Not wanting to put myself in that position, I started this project sooner than I felt ready in 2023,” shares TAYA. “After resting, fasting, praying, and waiting for God, He spoke to me. Unbeknownst to me when God spoke, I was carrying our first child Bo.

We would become parents and would learn to do so, living out of suitcases. Our son would travel to over 16 different countries by the time he was 11 months old. My management team would dissolve, and another team would do the same. My husband and I would feel led to leave our church home of over 13 years. And I would receive my first of two skin cancer diagnoses.

It all felt both joy-filled and extremely difficult. I was overwhelmed yet it was a pressing season that resulted, by the grace of God, in a steeled conviction of what God has and hasn’t called us to. God was and is faithful and kind. And that is the circumstance for this album to be shaped.”

Produced by Austin Davis, The Reminder is a perfect collection of 12 songs of worship declarations of  God’s faithfulness. The album includes the songs, “Worship!,” “One and Only,” “Simple Phrase,” “Come Into The Light,” and “Gonna Be Good,” which were released before today’s album drop.

This week, TAYA stepped into that historic circle at the Grand Ole Opry for her Opry Debut. She performed her recognizable and 4x RIAA Platinum single, “Oceans,” along with the title track “The Reminder.” This month she will embark on her first-ever US headlining tour, “Come Into The Light,” with each date featuring a special support artist, including Joe L Barnes, Leeland, Tiffany Hudson, and Mack Brock.

She adds, “I pray this record is a testament to God. Like an altar built in the desert, may these memorial stone songs help us remember what He has done. May they help us thank Him for His unyielding and unchanging faithfulness,  and may they become sustenance for the days ahead.”

Faith Worship Arts Shares ‘Fill This House’

Orlando, FL worship band Faith Worship Arts releases their new album Fill This House on DREAM Worship. The 12-song album is a part live, part studio album coming in both HD and SD formats and includes 9 live videos that were directed and produced by Kyle Timian.

‘“Fill This House’ is Faith Worship Arts’ latest worship album, filled with songs that emphasize God’s greatness and the prioritization of His presence in our lives. As we were writing, one of our groups—led by Sydney James and Josh Daughtry—wrote the song Fill This House.

The song is a cry to God for an overflow of His presence and power, as well as a longing for a continued, Spirit-filled encounter with Jesus. It was written during a season that reflected the posture of our local congregation, and it became the rallying point around which the rest of our songs gathered.

It only made sense for it to be our title track! Prayerfully, listeners will notice a persistent theme of prioritizing the pursuit of God, His will, and His righteousness throughout much of the album.”

Faith, Family, and Fiddles: Richard Lynch Delivers Heartfelt Country Gospel on Pray on the Radio: Songs of Inspiration

Richard Lynch’s upcoming album, Pray on the Radio: Songs of Inspiration, set for release on April 18, 2025, is a heartfelt fusion of traditional country and Christian themes, showcasing Lynch’s signature storytelling and emotive delivery.

This 12-track collection delves into themes of faith, gratitude, and familial bonds. Notable tracks include:

  • “Pray on the Radio”: Inspired by a real-life experience where a DJ asked Lynch to pray during a radio interview, this song reflects the profound impact of public expressions of faith.
  • “He’ll Make Everything Alright”: A patriotic and inspirational single that encourages Americans to seek solace through prayer during challenging times.
  • “Grandpa & Grandma”: Co-written with Anthony Williams, this track pays homage to the enduring love and resilience of Lynch’s grandparents, emphasizing themes of family and heritage.

Recorded at Beaird Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, and produced by Lynch, the album benefits from high-quality production that complements Lynch’s traditional country style.

Lynch’s sincere storytelling shines throughout the album, with lyrics that resonate on a personal level. His rich baritone vocals convey authenticity and emotion, reminiscent of country artists like Joe Nichols and Easton Corbin.

While the album excels in delivering heartfelt messages through traditional country sounds, incorporating a few more contemporary elements or varied musical arrangements could broaden its appeal to a wider audience. Additionally, exploring diverse thematic content within the inspirational genre might add further depth to future projects.

That being said, Pray on the Radio: Songs of Inspiration is a compelling blend of country and Christian music that reflects Richard Lynch’s dedication to his faith and musical roots. The album offers listeners a collection of songs that inspire and uplift, rooted in genuine storytelling and traditional country instrumentation.
