3 Inspiring Reminders From The Beauty Of A Sunrise

On my morning walk today, I was able to catch the sunrise and it was so beautiful. It’s nice to just pause sometimes and take in the simple mundane elements of nature. As the tender sun rays hit my face, they dropped some inscriptions on me that I’ll like to share:

1. There is always hope.

(“There was never a night or a problem that could defeat sunrise or hope” ~ Bernard Williams)

The beautiful sunrise reminds us that with a new day comes renewed hope. It might have been a long night of disappointment, but with the breaking day comes the hope that things will have a better outcome. 

It gives us the faith we need for our journey. We might have despaired yesterday, but the brightness of the sun tells us that today we can have joy. (Psalm 30:5)

2. There’s always another chance to try.

As we awaken to the sunrise, we have been given another shot at living. Our plans might not have gone the way we wanted them to but so long as we see the dawn of a new day, we are reminded that we can always try again. 

A new day gives us renewed vigour to strive and attempt new strategies. The sun’s rays knock on our windows every morning whispering to us that it’s another day to knock on the doors of opportunities. Because everyone who keeps asking receives, everyone who keeps seeking finds and to those who keep knocking, the door will be opened. (Luke 11: 9 – 10)

3. Whether you’re ready for the day or not, it cannot always be night.

Tick, tock! The clock keeps ticking. It doesn’t pause for anyone. So when the sun is up, make sure you’re up with it and whatever you have to do, make sure to do them. The sun rises as it should; be sure to always show up for your commitment(s) whether you feel like it or not except in dire situations where you can’t help it. 

Time and chance happen to everyone. So when that shot that will propel you into greatness finally presents itself, make certain you’re ready for it. (Ecclesiastes 9:11)

Whenever you have the opportunity to see the sunrise, bear the above in mind and never ignore the lessons that we can learn from nature.
