1K Phew Returns With Third Installment Of ‘What’s Understood’ Series
Following a landmark run of collaborations and hit singles, Reach Records artist 1K Phew returns with the highly anticipated third installment of his celebrated What’s Understood series with “What’s Understood 3 (WU3)”, dropping Thursday, October 31, 2025.
The 17-track project arrives as the next chapter in Phew’s legacy, following 2019’s What’s Understood and What’s Understood 2, which cemented his reputation as one of the most dynamic and relatable voices in Christian hip-hop. The new EP is led by the explosive focus single “Ain’t He” feat. WHATUPRG & Ty Brasel, with the official music video set to release Friday, October 31 at NOON via 1K Phew’s Youtube.
In What’s Understood 3, Phew continues to bridge the gap between the streets and the sanctuary, blending Atlanta trap energy with faith-filled storytelling. The project opens with “Intro,” a bold reintroduction that sets the tone for authenticity and growth, before moving through anthemic moments like “Cascade,” “Church House,” and “White Tee.”
On the standout single “Ain’t He,” Phew, WHATUPRG, and Ty Brasel deliver a melodic celebration of gratitude and grace, capturing the joy of faith found in everyday triumphs. The project also features acts such as Lecrae, Forrest Frank, Torey D’Shaun, Anike, Aha Gazelle, and more.
“WU3 is my story in real time; the highs, the lows, and the moments God kept me when I didn’t even realize it. I wanted WU3 to sound like motivation you can ride to and live by. It’s faith in motion for the lost who’s still trying to get it right. I’m not preaching perfection, i’m showing progress and pushing unity. That’s what WU3 is about.” States 1k Phew.
