Trip Lee’s “Glory” Continues Monthly New Single Release Streak
Following the launch of his new podcast, “End.Notes” Trip Lee, releases his new single “Glory”. The Dallas-born rapper, author, preacher, husband, and father is now over 1 year past his return to Hip Hop with the release of his 7th studio album “The End” in 2022 and his return has been nothing short of triumphant.
Three singles in three straight months since April along with the launch of a new podcast, Trip explains he is now “speaking from a place of victory,” and he plans to illustrate what that look like with each new single release.
With the latest single, Trip Lee puts a new twist on Fred Hammond’s well-known contemporary gospel hit “Glory to Glory To Glory” while bragging on his bigness and goodness. Exploring themes of humility and honor in worship over a driving beat, this is yet another record Trip produced by himself featuring hard hitting 808s alongside smooth keys.
“I was really excited to sample a gospel classic with Fred Hammond’s Glory To Glory To Glory. This song hits right on one of the themes I’ve been trying to drive home my whole career— God is glorious,” says Trip Lee. “
Realizing how big God is changed everything for me and I hope this song helps people to see that same truth. I’ve been releasing singles the last Friday of every month, and I can’t think of anything I’d rather talk about for this third installment.”
In April of this year, Trip released his first new single of 2023, “At The Cross” ft. Madison Ryann Ward kicking off his monthly release streak. He’s remained faithful to that promise releasing his second single “Lay Down” in May and now his third single, “Glory.”
On top of that, he continues to bring even more to the world through the “End. Notes” podcast sponsored by VOICES of Our Daily Bread. Stay tuned for new episodes on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Friday of every month!
Trip Lee’s storied career began over a decade ago after a chance meeting with Lecrae and the Reach Records team at a show. 6 full length albums later and over 5 years of planting and pastoring churches, all while dealing with chronic fatigue, Trip is fully committed to music once again and ready to impact the world through hopeful lyricism and handcrafted sounds.
Looking toward the future, Trip’s aim is to “reframe and replace our vision of despair and deconstruction with hope and sanctification.” His new music is the fruit of his endurance and a reminder that even when we come to what feels like “the end,” There is More to The Story.
