Tye Tribbett Shares New Live LP Ahead Of National Tour Kickoff

Featuring hits like “Same God”, “He Turned It” and “We Gon Be Alright”, there is no question that this live album is every Gospel fan’s dream. All Things New: Live In Orlando is a project that encompasses the creativity, entertainment, and years of labor all in one moment – captured for all to experience. All Things New: Live In Orlando is this year’s must-hear album.

The live album freshly follows Tribbett’s announcement of the “All Things New Tour,” titled after his #1 chart-topping 2022 album “All Things New.” The tour is the culmination of a milestone-marking year for the Gospel legend and icon. Earlier this year, it was announced that Tye Tribbett earned two nominations for the 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards in the following categories: Best Gospel Album and Best Gospel Performance/Song. Released in July via Motown Gospel, All Things New is Tye Tribbett’s latest trailblazing album that encapsulates the ways he honors the musical tradition in which he operates, all while continuously redefining and stretching its limits within a modern musical landscape. Tribbett follows the throughline between gospel, funk and hip-hop, illustrating the way one flows into another and illuminates the connective tissue amongst them, all in both energy and heritage.

This is only further amplified by his latest release, which so clearly encapsulates the ways Tribbett honors the musical tradition in which he operates, all while continuously redefining and stretching its limits within a modern musical landscape. On All Things New, the singer, songwriter, and producer collaborates with some industry heavy hitters, including PJ Morton, Kierra Sheard, Mali Music, Jekalyn Carr, and Zacardi Cortez to name a few. The LP also includes number one gospel radio mega-hits “We Gon’ Be Alright” (Tribbett’s interpolation of Kendrick Lamar’s anthemic 2015 song) and “Anyhow.”

“I made this album to fight against the feeling of defeat in light of everything we have all been through these past few years” says Tribbett. “I wanted to put a joyful experience out in the world to remind not just me, but all of us that there is still beauty to the world.” He continues, “Like my first single New says, ‘We not dead, we livin… Newer times for newer gifts.’ Hopefully we can use a jubilant album to renew and refresh our souls!”

LYRICS

It gets so hard
Just trying to figure it out, fighting doubt
Tryna believe God
Tryna watch the words of my mouth, stay on the route

Troubles come and go
Even on the mountain high or the valley low
Never let your faith go
Never let your faith go

I’ve been there before
So confused, don’t know which way to go
Stressed out
World so crazy might as well as stay in the house

Fear tryna rise up
Got terrorist disguised, they look like us
But we know who we trust
Trust when I say that

We gon’ be alright, we gon’ be alright
We gon’ be alright, alright
We gon’ be alright, we gon’ be alright
We gon’ be alright, alright

In these last days
Evil times will come and it’s here today
Look at all the hate
Senseless crime and murder everyday
Human trafficking, racism, policy brutality
Bullying, rape, child molesta—shun the appearance of evil I pray

Let Your Kingdom come, let Your will be done
In the Earth
Let Your glory rise, let Your Son shine
Let it burst

Through the dark clouds
Even through the storm and the rain
We will shout
Cause we know after the night

We gon’ be alright, we gon’ be alright
We gon’ be alright
I ain’t worried ‘bout it (Oh no)
Don’t you worry ‘bout it (Oh no)
I believe, I receive, in Your Word that You promised that

We gon’ be alright, we gon’ be alright
We gon’ be alright
Don’t worry ‘bout it (Oh no)
Don’t lose no sleep over it (Oh no)
Just believe and receive in Your Word that You promised that

We gon’ be alright, we gon’ be alright
We gon’ be alright
I ain’t worried ‘bout it (Oh no)
I won’t lose sleep over it (Oh no)
You got everything under control, that’s how I know that

We gon’ be alright, we gon’ be alright
We gon’ be alright
The battle isn’t yours, this belongs to the Lord
Stand still, don’t fight, we know that
We gon’ be alright
